I wouldn't normally call something like the Fusion exciting. But a turbo six and AWD sounds pretty fun.

I love the new look of Ford :)

Might get keep my Focus after the lease is up.

Article from Autoblog:

It used to be that heavy horsepower and torque figures demanded an absurd premium. The days of 350HP Corvette's & 911's are long gone and the new Ford Fusion Sport is the latest example of that, producing 325HP and 380FT-LBS of torque from a 2.7 Twin Turbo V6.

This gives it performance equal to a BMW 540i and means it is far superior to the Toyota Camry SE and the Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.0T and Kia Optima SX 2.0T. Unlike the competiton, the Fusion gets a 6 speed auto transmission and AWD to put that power down. Ford hasn't released performance figures but it's likely to do 0-60 in around 5 seconds.

Power isn't the Fusions only advantage over it's rivals, there's also the price, with prices starting at $34,350, around the same as a BMW 520i and is $12,445 less than a 540i. A well equipped model, with GPS, cruise control, 19" wheel and climate control, is less than $40,000. While it may not be able to match the 540i in every way, it is still a huge bargain.

While this car may cause problems for competitiors, it could also cause Ford some problems. When you can get a 325HP Fusion for $35,000, what incentive is there to spend $43,575 on a 400HP Lincoln MKZ? The same is true for the ageing Taurus, with the Taurus being $41,150 and offering a smaller power upgrade than the Lincoln. And with ratings of 17 MPG CTY and 26 MPG HWY, the Fusion is more economical too.

The 2017 Fusion Sport will arrive in dealer this summer.
