Would you see this issue more as a mistake or a misconception committed by PD?

PD's mistake was putting the trucks in the game. I was Excited to see the trucks in the game until I started using and checking them out. A Ford lightning that isn't lignhtning, a ram 1500 Laramie quad cab hemi? NO fastest production truck ever made? The chevy is in the game, Wait is that really a truck. How about the nissan Titan with the most standard power in its class 300+. The best truck in the game is the chevy concept and it still STINKS. Trucks can be made to fast and handle but not in this game. I could go on.
It was just a waste of time and money in this game to mess around with the trucks.

If an American company wanted to start up a game like this i'm 100% sure it would have more American cars that Japanese ones...

have you raced with the lightning? or any other truck? how do they handle? i´ve seen a few screens of a dogde ram that looked like a beast going after a lancia... don´t know if the trucks are really good...

Try these trucks in rally races. They are surprisely good. Obviously the 22b is going to be better, but it's funny to watch a Dodge Ram chase down little Lancia's.

FYI, that "big oversized ugly truck" just completely owned a blown 5.0 Mustang, Corvette Z06, and a twin turbo Supra. (For those of you who are stuck on 56K and can't download a 100MB movie file, it's a twin-turbo Chevy Silverado Z71 running upwards of 600hp.) Trucks can own you, and have the added advantage of being able to squish you much more efficently than a Toyota GT1 can.

*AHEM*, youve got it all wrong, his name is Jim Nuenfeldt. His truck is not big, or oversized, it's an 03 STD. cab, Short bed, thats the lightest model they make... And, it's not twin turboed, it's a single t72 qtrim, running on a 408CI RACE block, running 101octane fuel at 15.3psi with open cut out, he made 611 hp@3900RPM and
858 ft/lb@3600RPM. His truck is sick, but on his webpage, it states that he has spent over $23,000 just on parts, not to mention the price of the truck to begin with. Don't believe me, www.Turbotruck.net

...as there are fast silverados, there are faster SVT's. I am speaking of a turboed '98 SVT Mustang Cobra making 967.8Hp@5400RPM and 1,023 ft/lb@4600RPM. www.Fuelslut.net Keep in mind that both of these cars are daily driven and haul ass, but seriously,

The Ford Lightning in the PAL game is FR. It shows it quite clearly on the info screen.. I have a pic to show it too..

Only the rear wheels light up when you hit the gas..

Man, I don't hink KY has ever even SAT in a truck. I don't know about the Tacoma and Lightning, but I used to have a Silverado, and my brother in law has a Ram. And:
1. I've never been in a truck that will do 50-60 in first gear.
2. I've never been in a truck with a 6 speed (maybe the Lightning or the SRT-10, but I haven't driven either)
3. Like we've seen, they DID fix the lightning to be FR, but
4. The SST IS AWD, and PD has it as FR.
5. I'm even a chevy guy, and the SST horsepower is WAY off.
Hmm... no beefs about the Tacoma. Maybe that's because they actually HAVE tacomas in Japan (I don't know if they really do--I'm just guessing).
There are a dozen cars I'd have rather seen in the game than these jacked up trucks.

Its like a nun writing a book on tantric sex or a man describing how it feels to be pregnant.

The Lightning only comes with an automatic tranny, and the SRT-10 is a 6-spd. ALthough PD has always been WAY off in it's representaion of American cars (and now trucks), from what I've played of them so far, PD has least been able to get CLOSER. Keep going PD. 💡

Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention that most trucks are designed to have a ton of low end torque (to pull loads and stuff), and the trucks in the game have NONE down low. Maybe from the custom gearing PD decided on?
