Could some body send an e-mail to say and let them forword it to PD to fix it

Has anyone even proved there's anything to fix?

As for the TT, oddly enough, I also have the launch version of GT3. And an Audi that spins four tires. Whether it happens to send most of it's power to the front by default is irrelevant.. it's still AWD, not FF.

Like said before, the 2003 model looks like the 2000 model which was 4WD. Isn't it possible that instead of making a huge screwup PD just made a typo concerning the building year?

Just to clear this up, they're all RWD:

Gen1 Lightning (1993-1995)=RWD Gen1 Link
Gen2 Lightning (1999-current)=RWD Gen2 Link

So Jedi are you calling us liars or retards? Just curious. I've driven the TT without a VCD and it spins off the line like a ff. Its rear tires put 0 power to the ground. I can put its nose to a wall and spin the front two tires all day long while the rears are happy to exhibit virtually nothing resembling rotation whatsoever.

Is it possible you have a VCD installed?

I know I have a VCD installed... I put it there myself. But in case you weren't aware, a VCD can only be installed on a 4WD car. If you like, I can run the test again without it.

if there has to be a QUAD CAB DODGE RAM in the game, why the hell didnt they use the SRT-10 QUAD CAB ???
it looks a hell of alot beter and the V10 has more power/torque than the stupid HEMI, plus it comes stock with 22' wheels 👍

Ok that's fine. All we're saying now is without a VCD installed the TT basically acts as though it is FF. Someone mentioned earlier that it was probably just a poor representation of the audi's AWD system in the game. I only became aware of the VCD correcting the problem today from this thread. So I'm excited to install one when I finally get home and try it out.

It seems to me the quattro system of the S4 and TT would be very similar if not near identical. In the stock S4 you can definately tell it is an AWD, much unlike the TT. So why the TT acts the way it does without a VCD installed is a mystery.

Exactly. No SVT vehicle has ever been AWD. From the Cobras (RWD), to the Contours (FWD), to the Focus' (FWD), to the Lightnings (RWD), none of them are AWD.

I don't see this as a huge problem. Is it a bummer they made a mistake??? Yes. But, the only people I see REALLY disapointed with it are the owners of the truck looking to have fun with it in the game. Now, they can't use the truck like its made to be used. I like the thing regardless, and it should be fun no matter. It sucks they made the error, but lets just be happy that this is the only one we've seen so far, and that its not a super popular model. If an Evo showed up as FWD, all hell would break out. But, I see the Lightning as a fun vehicle to play with in the game, but its not going to make or break it for me that its 4WD.

Yeah, like JNasty said, it's no big deal to me either! Yeah, it's disapointing, but whats a truck doing in GT4 anyways??? Sure, it's cool to have some trucks, but pick some good sport trucks and not the Dodge Laramie! I'm a Dodge guy myself, but the Laramie is not suitable for GT4. Why didnt they put the Ram SRT-10 in, or maybe the Dakota R/T... And how about the S-10 Extreme, S-10 454 SS, and GMC Cyclone like someone else has mentioned. Where are the BMW X5's and Porsche Ceynnes (or however its spelled...) I just think trucks are a little outa place. Maybe they will get it right in GT5... :indiff: 👎 :indiff:

That's pathetic for a game so long in the making. They included approximately five thousand Skylines but couldn't get one of the sportiest stock trucks (and one of the very few trucks in the game, period) implemented correctly?

The vehicle I was looking forward to the most in GT4 was the Lightning.

I agree, with the above comment. If they are going to include a vehicle, they should do it right. They already are shorting out American brands, compared to Japanese.... Hopefully, this will be fixed. If not, then oh well... Maybe next time

how many times did we hear people say, "the delay is ok with me 'cause now i know the game will be perfect"
you know who you are...[smiley]

This is just one of those things I think we have to live with. A game with so many features is going to have some errors. I mean, think back to the days of Need for Speed on the PS1. The game had like 20 cars, and maybe 10 tracks. If they messed up a car like this, that would be terrible. But, we're talking about a game with over 700 cars and 50-some tracks. Its bound to happen. And, with a game like this, with such a huge following, its bound to be noticed by A LOT of people.

Like I said in an earlier post, just be happy this is the only major one like this we've seen. I mean, I like the Lightning, its going to be a fun drive. But, in a game like GT, its basically just your token American fast truck. At least they got the rest of it right. If it would have shown up with no supercharger or something like that, as well as getting the driveline wrong, I would think differently. But, as it stands, with it just being a mixup on the drivetrain, its no REAL big issue.

Sure, if your a Lightning owner, your bummed. Hell, I'm bummed too. They finally put a Talon in the game, and a '97, even better. But, then they go and make it a non-turbo ESi!!!! ARGH!!! Just put ONE good AWD DSM in the game PD, please!!! I don't care if its a 1G or 2G, and don't care if its a Talon, Eclipse, or Laser. Just put an AWD in there. The crappy FWD Eclipse we've gotten a couple times is just lame.

no comment ???

Yeah I have a comment.. It's possible that PD wanted to include the SRT-10 Ram. BTW it holds the record for the fastest production pickup truck. Licensing was probably a problem and rather than go for the V6 model  , or the 4.7-liter 235-hp V8, they decided to model one after the Hemi.

i see no reason there would be a liscence problem since the SRT-10 VIPER & SRT-4 NEON are in the game.

It's not just licensing. There are probably several other factors. Maybe the car lists will be different from region to region. So although, the SRT-10 Ram might not be available in the Asian/Japanese version, it may be available in other versions. Remember what happened with the Lamborghini Diablo racecar (PALINDROME! :sly: ) and the F1 cars in the various version of GT3?

lol you dont have to remind me, we @ GTH are the ones that found all the hidden cars and made it possible for everybody to enjoy hybrids ;)

Er... I would think MK deserves some sort of credit with regards to that. Although I honestly don't know if he worked with you guys.

PD probably have their own reasons for not including the SRT-10. I've been wondering the same thing, but I don't really mind. And while I'm completely against using a truck for anything other than utility in real-life, I'll probably end up taking them to the 'Ring on at least one occasion for craps and giggles.

Yes, I've got a comment... 22 foot wheels? Whoa! ;)

WE (GTH) found all the base codes/ part codes and cars for GT3, MK (a member of GTH & a very good friend ) made the MK PROGRAM based on the GS2 codes we found.

as far as the "22 foot wheels" it was obviously a typo.

also: CAMAROBOY69 made the sweet GT3 WHEEL GUIDE that most of you use.

Hey thanks! I did not know that this list existed, shame I did not use it before.

btw : isn't it HGT (House of GT)?

lol no !!

its GTH 👍

all this info is on my website ;)

I never knew about the wheel guide either. It only took me ages in MK's to figure out what everything was on my own :-/

Thanks for the link Drift God!

All I was saying in my last post was that I'm happy with whatever the game has for certain specs of a car. I won't cry over a Corvette C5R that sounds like a blender. Perhaps you can say that as much as I respect cars, I also nicely respect the GT series no matter what. As long as the game doesn't go in a direction that makes the series nothing like past games or just goes in a staright-to-hell direction that ultimately will kill the franchise, I'm happy. I'm happy with GT4 and cannot wait to play. The incorrect data may be there, but all I care about is the game. Can't wait to hold down the "X" button and speedfreak all over and around in Gran Turismo 4.

Yeah that list took me a good 6 hours to make. Thanks DG for hosting that on your site bro! 👍
GTH is my 2nd home. Lots of incredible and nice people over there.I consider everyone over there like my family. :)
I learned everything I know about hybrids there. There is nothing I havent seen in GT3 that hasnt been done by one of us. Even back when everyone was trying to get a wheelie car I worked on it and posted it a couple years ago.

Maybe they ran out of money and couldn't afford the license?
Or maybe the manufacturer gave the license to another company?
Or maybe the Daimler-Chrysler wasn't willing to give the license?

In my quest to find in game pics of the lightning I came across this post... Just to be clear, Ford DID NOT make any 4WD Lightnings. Anyone have a link to some in game lightning pics or vids?
