I finally got the gold after over 9000 tries. Looks like I was trying to go too fast on the bumpy and twisty green hell.

I found the ring challenge fairly easy, I'd overtaken the final car by the end of 1st lap. I oddly found r246 harder, mainly because of the AI's annoying ability to suddenly drop loads of speed mid-corner.

Why is the ring 10 laps? Forget it.

I still have not done The Ring and will never attempt at doing it ever again. Very frustrating! Probable most frustrating race in GT5 for me, aside from the X2010 Vettel Challenge.

I have mostly been using the High Speed Ring event for building up money. I ended up winning the Grand Valley event as I gave that one a chance. I am not even going to do that Nürburgring 24h one. I'm terrible on ANY Nürburgring track, so why compete in an event I know I can't win?

Sometimes, you learn to stick with what you know you can succeed at. For me and this Seasonal, it means doing the High Speed Ring event and on my best day- win by 20 or more seconds there.
