I can't remember the last time I was really challenged by the AI in this game, be Spec 2.0 or else. But this time PD nailed it ... on Nurburgring.
But first things first. Here is how I played this SE:
My FGT is pretty beaten. I bought it long before there was SE at all, so with an oil change it was only like 890PP and it lacks horsepower. But since you can easily beat the Ai even with 20 BHP I think it was ok. I mounted the recommended RH tires and gave the Event a go.
First "went" to the High Speed Ring, 10 laps - this was veeeeery easy. Not even worth mentioning it, although I was surprised by the grip the car had.
Grand Valley, 10 laps was next - I like this track a lot, but again ... easy.
Then I went to the last event - Eifel weather change, 10 laps. Dry race, and even if the track had some good corners ... well ... meh ... easy and dumb track.
Then came Tokyo, 10 laps. Well that was a bit of a challenge due to the urban character of the track. In fact, because of my lack of power, the AI was faster then me on the straights. But on the corners ... WOW! Is the AI actually became dumber?!

The AI is WAY SLOWER in corners! I mean I don't use assists apart from ABS 1, because I use DS3 pad to play. And still I managed some corners flatout, while the AI just cruised on the racing line, so I had to get way around them to pass them. Really dumb! Anyway. After 3 or 4 attempts I managed to gold it.
And then came ... Nurburgring 24hr, 2 laps. Oh, boy! That was tough! After 2 or 3 attempts I understood that I had adjust the suspension stiffness ... SEVERELY! because once I got to the older sections of the Ring it was uneven battle with the bumps. Like 10 attempts later I was still struggling to get a clean lap even though I was consistently 6th or 7th once I exit the F1 section of the track. The AI is still dumb as hell, I had to just get around them because the AI again cruised on the racing line. Then I adjusted once more the settings (suspension mainly and a bit of the rear wing in order for more oversteer because the RH tirea are pretty grippy imo) and this got me just a few seconds after the leader on the LONG straight. Then I spun again.
After like 5 or 6 more attempts I finally managed a clean, comfortable first lap and after I took the lead I managed to gold the event ... which leads me to the conclusion I suck at the Ring maybe?

Still great SE, great fun! Thanks a lot PD!
