Vettel suffered major damage and fell through the pack, so he got the time penalty and the penalty of consequences. Raikkonen didn't.
So a penalty depends on how much damage you caused? Sounds very random and not according the rule book. Consistency and justice for all?

Edit: aaah feel sorry for Charles....

Leclerc with a probably too fast pitstop.

Or not? Ferrari engine?

It's turning into quite a turd of a race.

Hamilton pits.

Up to Bottas to make this race interesting. No excitement in watching Hamilton as he hasn’t done a legitimate overtake (no one is in the league of the Mercedes) and the FIA screwed Raikkonen royally

Possibly. There's no point punishing someone who punished themselves already, except that they need punishing for the effect they had on the other person's race. Vettel and Bottas both tumbled down the order at Paul Ricard, so part of Vettel's penalty was the damage he'd caused to himself, whereas only Hamilton has tumbled down the order at Silverstone, so no part of Raikkonen's penalty is damage he's caused to himself.

And Raikkonen screwed Hamilton royally, so all’s fair and everything is fine.

Interesting strategy for Ricciardo.

Ericsson hard crash!
Safety car

ooo ericsson!!!
Safety?? Medical car must go out.

Safety Car

and that's the crash that changes things....Hope Ericsson is OK

Big crash!

Vettel in pits!

That's a big one. I think it's DRS related.

Mercedes. What are you doing!? Did you not watch China?

Hamilton with mediums hard used and those behind with fresh softs..again wrong strategy from Merc???

Neither Merc pits...are they really that good on the tires there? That's a bold move

Vettel saying the safety car should slow down

Lol it’s his home GP so I guess I’ll excuse dumb comments like that

Eh?

Vettel wants the safety car to slow down?
Normally he is complaining that it is going to slow

Epic overtake!
Sainz crashes with Grosjean!

Carlos has gone off

Edit: Safety Car Take 2
