With the irony of a Russian-sponsored and liveries American F1 team comes the return of Formula 1 to America, sponsored by a Saudi oil company... Traditionally a Lewis Hamilton stronghold, the circuit is littered with many copies of brilliant corners around the world - and fit together in a string that works! The championship battle is still massively wide open and any disaster for one of the title contenders could set them back a long way. After Bottas scored his first wet-weather victory in Formula 1, the season now has 6 race winners, the most since 2012. A super-close season with the midfield closing up on Mercedes and Red Bull has certainly made this an enthralling season, how will it continue now Formula 1 makes its long-awaited post-COVID return to the Americas. let's enjoy the UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX!

Mazepin is giving me Kevin Conway vibes this weekend. 3.4 seconds behind his teammate.

Bottas with another grid penalty relating to excess engine parts?! Considering his pace, Merc may be shooting themselves in the foot...

So Max slows down going in to the last corner, Lewis passes him. Max then speeds up to go wheel to wheel with him down the main straight. Red Bull now complaining about unwritten rules

Replay:

You can pinpoint the moment the red mist descended.
Oddly, for all the whining about queue etiquette, Verstappen lunged up the inside of Hamilton literally four corners earlier...

Hamilton slowed up as he was catching Gasly, and Verstappen just dived past at T15. Then he was catching Gasly, so he slowed up and Hamilton dived past as we saw - though Hamilton did it before the corner (Verstappen then accelerated) while Verstappen's lunge was a pretty mental full send between the apexes which came within about six feet of Gasly.

Edit:

Yeah, it's nice to just wake up with F1 in the morning and not have to wait to watch. Qualifying is on at 4PM over here, so it will be well into the night in Europe.

Was just looking for when the Channel 4 quali highlights would be on tonight and they're on at 830am bloody Sunday morning. Race highlights on early Monday morning.

Have they moved the US GP to a later time? Is it a one-off, what in the jeepers is going on here?

Unless F1 is massive in Hawaii you'd think they'd do it a little earlier in the day. Qualifying at 10 pm is mad.

I'm sure at this point he's doing it on purpose because he feels "wronged" by other people accidentally doing it to him.

Is it just turns 9 & 19 where they are deleting lap times for going over the white line? Because it looked like LeClerc went over at turn 20.
