Yeah, theoretical best, which he usually does in Q3.

With a thinner rear wing only put on for quali which sacrifices some of their speed in sector 3.

Max matched his sector 1 and 2 times on his second flyer without the Perez slipstream, and was still 2-3 tenths quicker than Lewis in the last sector!

Red Bull definitely taking some of the sandbags off for q3.

Roll on tomorrow with the different strategies.

So it's going to be a race of tyre strategy tomorrow, barring any wheel banging.
 
Hear me out... but I'll preface this with "I do not want this to happen". What if Perez gets a cracking start and gets into Lewis by accident. (Read: not on purpose). Will people scream that Max should be penalised or stripped of the title?

Yeah you're right. I just felt frustrated with the result. But it's seemed like for most of the season he's been nowhere to be found when he was needed the most by the team.

I hear you there. Maybe this is Bottas giving Lewis the business the way he can (e.g. do it yourself, 7x champ).
