Piastri doesn't seem to be in it at all! Max also look off the pace but Hamilton is surprisingly there! Let's see what happens in Q3.
 
Sainz’s penalty will help Piastri, but I can’t see him better than the 3rd row and might not even get that.

Better for Piastri, just off Verstappen and ahead of the Mercs.

Piastri was 2 tenths off Norris in sector 1, only 1 tenth over the rest of the lap. That does look like a PU issue.

Wow, what a lap by Lando! Probably his best quali lap ever in terms of pace and importance
 
Brilliant lap from Norris. Great job from Ferrari as well.
Norris has a nice gap on both championship rivals.
Piastri's final lap wasn't awful, but still quite far off.

What on earth is going on with Oscar??? Like sure these are worse tracks for him but this much of a drop-off since only a few races ago is insane
 
Wow....well that was intense!! Norris just obliterated everyone!!! Piastri is so far down. Ferrari is in it! Max got beat by Russell too! Unless something happens to Norris, Piastri is about to lose that championship lead. This season is coming alive in the last 5 races!!
 
I wouldn't be too surprised if Lando takes the championship lead tomorrow.
 
Phenomenal lap from Lando there, very very good. Top job from Ferrari, pace in FP3 was genuine it seems. Disappointing from Oscar, but he was weak here last year too, clearly just doesn't gel with this bit of the calendar.

Lap 1 will be critical for everyone tomorrow.

Max's feedback after qualy sounds like they won't even be able to get on the podium for this race.

Piastri certainly seems to have lost his confidence with the car but Norris won't have an easy time down to T1 as the three on the grid behind him are hungry for wins with no championship to think about. Should be a great race!

Yeah. But at least Lando has two of the best and most fair wheel to wheel racers behind him. I don’t think those two and Lando will do anything stupid into T1.

Fezzas “have nothing to lose” so one of them will probably take the lead at T1 and the interest might be how Lando reacts. Maybe Norris will start on softs to try to defend T1 and might compromise his race strategy.
 
Getting antsy. Something tells me that Lando is going to have a Lando start, and Charles is going to pounce. 😑
 
I can see Hamilton leading after the first corner.
 
Really want that Hamilton Ferrari win, but I think Lando has this regardless of where he comes out after turn 1. Ferrari race pace is not it.
Just don’t crash.

The FIA should implement a maximum speed rule during the formation lap.

What an awful first section of corner design that track has. The confusion it has caused in Lap 1s over the years is ridiculous and they have never come up with a polystyrene Chicane or something the corner cutters have to navigate either
