The thing about DRS is it has big upsides but big downsides. In certain situations it can be really unfair like for schumacher today. It can get ridiculous to the point where if you're in a battle and you are in front, if there's an even number of laps left you'll win, but if it's odd then you'll lose. I really haven't made up my mind about it.

I wonder if Button could have caught Vettel on the final stretch using the DRS, assuming Vettel had never spun? He had a pretty strong run on him.

Haha, Button one upping Vettel with a double-finger.

To hell with Ferrari, to hell with Massa and to hell with DRS. I have my reasons for wishing this ¬_¬.

He picked up almost half a second on the shorter straight, so yes, I think he would've been able to pick him up. Overtake him? Now that's harder to say :D

A great race once it finally got started. Easily Button's best Grand Prix win but he does have two incidents hanging over his head. The one with Hamilton and the other with Alonso. Either could cost him the win with a time penalty. That would be a shame but that's how it goes.

Vettel cracks under pressure. It is at last confirmed that he is in fact human.

*If* Button is given a time penalty, Schumi is less than 20 seconds behind him. Could still have his first podium after his comeback.

According to Speed, Hamilton was in the garage celebrating with the team when Button made the pass for the lead. Very cool.

So, what's the verdict? Vettel still buckles under pressure?
That's possible. I still think being in the race lead for so long, like he usually is, is still quite a bit of pressure and he deals with that nicely most of the time. We didn't get to see how long the super softs last in the race so his tires could have been falling off as well. I don't remember who had the fresher tires, but I think it was Button. That's not to take anything away from Button, it was an incredible performance by him.

Lewis there with a HUGE grin on his face after the overtake. Like a Cheshire Cat. :D

What a finish! I was actually getting ready to turn the TV off to save myself from hearing another one of Vettels annoying victory speech's, but Button won it!

Considering he never has to deal with traffic/pressure at all with having a superior machine or getting a huge lucky break you can make a point in saying that. While he is a phenomenal driver I have yet to see him excel having to race against others.

Absolutely amazing race.

Those who hate DRS, Pirelli, passing in F1, and who are full of sour grapes are welcome to go back to 2004 and watch a 2-hour high-speed parade.

Vettel doesn't have to deal with traffic? Really?

Button didn't get lucky on that last lap? Really?

How many times has Vettel been on the better side of an ill timed safety car or red flag? A lot. And I don't really think Button got all that lucky. He put the pressure on Vettel and it made him spin.

Let's wait for the stewards...and have a discussion after the results are being finalised. :p

Twice? You can't blame that on him for him being in the lead. It would have played into anyone's hand if they were in his place.

Button was lucky because he didn't have to risk an overtake move that might not have worked and could have dropped him down to 3rd or worse. The spot was given to him after Vettel's mistake. Again, that's not to take anything away from Button's drive.
