Would love to see a podium finish from Kobayashi. This looks to be his best chance to get one if he can keep pace in the wet when it restarts.

truly sucks for those who paid so much money to be there.. the ticks themselves, the flight, hotel costs etc.. all for a 20 something lap race with most of it under the safety car

I doubt it'll be it. It'll be a good 20 minutes before we hear anything. Praying for an eventual restart.

I would love to see him win. By way of banzai move on Vettel, not Vettel crashing out. :D

That would be awesome.

Red Bloody flag!!!???

They are the best drivers in the world, but they have to be bubble wrapped with health and safety when it rains a little bit.

If its to dangerous because its wet, then pirelli have failed at wet tyres.

Are you an idiot? It isn't spitting with rain, it's absolutely pouring down. Very dangerous situation. If the race was resumed it would turn into an aquaplaning, crash fest. Or is that what you want to see? Here is a quote from autosport.

Autosport
17:52 It is absolutely impossible to try and run a Formula 1 car effectively in the conditions we have right now.

I cannot believe that some of you guys cannot see why the red flag is being sported. I mean, look at the track! There's a heavy shower expected to last for another 20 minutes. Every little inch of the track will be completely soaked. Do you want to drive 250+ kmph in that sort of rain? Even the wildest of rain tyres and setup will not help any driver - regardless of skill - in these conditions.
It may be boring and sad that the race seems to be over, but come on - if a driver was seriously wounded or, god forbid, killed during these conditions - how would that be?

Clearly, red flagging the race was the only solution.

One of the best, most sensible posts I have read on this forum in a long time. Thank you.

Kobayashi can get new tires now, no need to pit. Possible podium? I would be amazed 4th last race now this? Shouldn't get too excited though

I don't want to get too excited either, but I hope he can do well today.

If I remember correctly from past formulas Kamui is pretty good in the rain. I just hope he can get a podium today. That for me would be a great race regardless lol

This will be a long stop.

I was just browsing through autosport...i dunno if it's a mistake.:

If they race at the moment it is just russian roulette... this seems not to be comparable to indy at all, weather is not in your hand.

Well it is because if you annoy a countries F1 fans (lets say by cancelling the race) you might find they never come back and it will be like Indy where F1 isnt welcome anymore.

People say how can they drive in these conditions but if you go slow enough you can drive in anything and would rather see them crusing around even at 10mph than a saftey car or a red flag.

Was so exciting until they killed it with health and saftey.

So you would rather see them driving around at SC speeds over a SC period?

'It does always seem to be Lewis in the wars'.

Yes, because Lewis insists on driving like Mr Magoo.

Kinetic Energy Race Suit, from PD's Update 1.10... thats why they had a Ferrari license! :D

Hamilton saying Webber braked too early going into T1.

Why can't he just say he got on the brakes a bit too late.

Also not blaming Button for the other incident either.
