That is massive for the championship. Along with the Montreal brainfart. That was his fault, this is so so unlucky.

If I were Piastri, I would set the engine to a lower power setting, incase his engine is close to doing the same thing.
Let it go boom on the cool down lap.

34 point lead as it stands now.

On the bright side, Hadjar on for a podium!

Is the Hadjodium on? Is Max on those Softs going to go Banzai on the restart to try and get the win? There aren't many laps yet but this podium isn't settled yet!

If the engine had an oil hose let go, the engine would've lost oil pressure and no doubt these engines would shut down to protect themselves.

Tough for Norris, drove a clean and fast race only for the engine to go poof.

That said, Hadjar is now in P3. Stop the count :D

Max didn’t sound happy with the car (shock!) so he might be looking behind more than forward.

This is not good
Light drizzle+oil on track will be dangerous.
The only driver reporting oil was the one driver who would benefit most from an extended Safety Car.
That was gamesmanship, nothing else.

Hard to say, we know there was an oil leak from norris, bound to be some oil on the track.

To contrast, Antonelli was reporting Norris was off the race track.

Can't see any on the cameras. I have plenty of experience for identifying lines of oil on the track and we would have seen it by now.

I can't remember the last time both drivers on the last row of the grid finished in the points, and in the middle of the points, no less.
