Someone got off the grid very poorly and it caused them to bunch up at 4 wide. I think Tsunoda or Albon hooked Zhou's left rear.

That car went a pretty far distance while upside down.

Gasly got sandwiched, touched Russell who bounced back on Zhou who car flipped.
That looked like a video-game scene from Gasly cam'

Thank god for the halo

"Start of the race incident noted"
You don't say

Gasly? So then both ATs are likely in trouble.

Just before the crash.

If I had to guess, Yuki got sandwiched, which hooked George's LR tire, and that probably sent George into the side of Zhou.

It's taking an worringly long amount of time to hear about Zhou.

Edit: Zhou is out of the car and has been put on a stretcher.

It's always bad when the TV direction does not show you a particular car.
Well Daniel Ricc complained heavily when they showed grosjean crash.

From pics on twitter, Zhou’s car is stuck sideways in the tyre wall.

Comms say he’s out of the car now.

Zhou is moving and is out of the car. On a stretcher.

Zhou still in the car.
That is not a good sign.

Edit: He is out but on a stretcher.

Him being out of the car and moving, to some degree, is healthy news.

Russell is a good man. Stopped and sprinted over to check on Zhou.

His car is in a tricky place, this could be awhile.

Was Russell retired from the race for stopping his car to help Zhou?

Can’t believe they’re going to stop him restarting.

Couple reports/photos coming out that protesters did invade the track as well.

I didn't catch it, but if George took out his steering wheel, then that's typically an automatic DNF.

There were also protesting morons on the track

That's the discussion going on now. Yes/No; his car did not return to the pits under its own power and that would mean he cannot take the restart according to Martin Brundle.

Jesus christ - not for the faint hearted

Gasly asked for news of Zhou just after the crash. We can guess why.

Does london still have that old school jail?
Send the protesters here and lose the key.

Completely flew over the tire barrier, didn't even hit the tires at all it seems

That reminds me of Pedro Diniz and Alex Wurz at Nürburgring in 1999; the angle of attack where the two wheels meet was just the worst one possible and flipped the car over.

Apparently Sainz said there were people on the track. Red flag had already been thrown by that point so either way we were going to get one.

Max moved back behind Carlos, back to original starting grid
