Red flag.
I blame the strange theme for the red flag.I was thinking the exact same thing. That was awful.
As I said earlier…Modern F1 only works with light to medium rain and only when the rain sets in during the race.
Standing water usually leads to hour long delays or worse, race cancellations.
Given that this is a sprint weekend (dumb decision to have one here imo) they have a lot less wiggle room timing wise to shift stuff around and react to weather.
If the rain follows the Silverstone dramaturgy than by all means bring it on.
I literally groan when I hear there could be potential rain at a race weekend. It used to be something to look forward too a few years back. Those Pirelli tyres are absolutely awful at clearing water, although the spray issue should improve next year due to the narrowing of the tyres.I'll say I'm starting to dislike when it rains at those races. I get that it spices things up but man it's so freaking annoying with the safety cars, full on red flag or what have you. I'd take a dry race everytime if this is how it goes down every time it rains. Don't get me wrong, I get the safety aspect of it but this is the "Pinnacle of the Motorsports" surely there's something they can do to manage that. Whether that is managing water flow on the track or have sweepers at the ready to help removing water before we go racing, there's go to be something.
Hot take: depends on the Mayo. I visited Belgium in High School, and while I'm am not at all a fan of the stuff in general, whatever Mayo the random street vendor we came across used was a massive improvement over any run-of-the-mill grocery store Mayonnaise here in the States.
Announcing a rule change during a race event is a bit odd.The FIA have announced the cars can now stay within 20 car lengths of each other during Safety Car conditions, rather than the usual 10.
This is likely due to the lack of visibility and for safety reasons.
I suppose that might be out of desperation to avoid a repeat of Spa 2021Announcing a rule change during a race event is a bit odd.
Not completely unusual at Spa though...Announcing a rule change during a race event is a bit odd.
I imagine everyone is in play for '27 for him depending on who gets the new car right. While Max said he is staying at Red Bull.
I wonder if he will go to AM if they have a strong car next year.
2027 might be a good bet once Alonso’s contract is up.While Max said he is staying at Red Bull.
