Hamilton up to 7th.

Norris lost 3 secs to Piastri on his first lap with the hards.

Norris’ side of the garage may end up being vindicated for their choice to opt for the hard tyre

And as I wrote that, Lando lost a second to Oscar after slowly eating away at the gap

Piastri’s just gotta grind this out. He’ll struggle to repass Norris on used mediums or new hards, even against very old hards.

He does have the window to Leclerc now if they do pit.

Not a good variable weather performance from the Hulk this time, noticeably slower than Bortoleto and gave away 10th with the 2nd pit stop. :indiff:

These mediums a bit too durable, and everyone except Lando being scared of the hards, has made this a real tyre management snorefest since it dried up.

FIA love their rules. Just make one like Indycar with two mandatory stops and all 3 compounds required.

And another Lando error.

Could have had an exciting race if they’d have started on time. Sure a few more laps behind the safety car at the start but would have had more wet running

Wrong way down the pitlane after turn 1? What happens if someone comes in the pits in the right direction at the end of the final lap?

Sky desperate in their Lando defence. Saying he would’ve had a chance without the errors, even though Oscar had his fastest laps at the end and was clearly holding back & in control.

Norris is the perfect #2 driver. Boring race but they can't all be classics.

Race ended up not being as dramatic as I thought it'd be.

Good job from Oscar, after capitalizing on that start, and holding on to those medium tires. A few too many brain farts by Lando.

Albon had a solid race. Way to hold off Lewis.

Nice points for Lawson and Bortoleto!

It's a well established procedure at Spa, besides there isn't really a reason someone would pit at the final lap anyway... and someone parking it on the penultimate would have enough time to make it to their garage.

Spa was turning out to be a great race in the making.

Then it dried out and wow, was it awful. Not sure Lando catching up to Piastri would've made a difference because even getting close enough for an overtake was all but impossible.

Another classic race robbed from us by the dog**** stewarding. I'm really starting to hate these cars and how stupidly massive they are. The turbo hybrid no refueling era has really sterilized the on track product.

Had they started after the 2 laps behind the safety car, it would have been better but nope, the safety car had to be out for 5 laps....just dumb. Even after the first lap behind the safety car there were some dry spots, I don't know why they kept it out that long....anyway, we can always rely on the FIA to make dumb decisions.

That said, well done to Piastri. Hope he keeps the momentum going. He's my pick for WDC this year so I'm happy to see him win this.

Ferrari's are not too bad Charles managing to keep Max behind and strong drive by Lewis, I thought he was going to be able to catch Russell but seems like it wasn't meant to be. I'm sure he's going to beat himself up for that because had he qualified higher on the grid, he probably would have been on the podium.
