Pretty boring race aside from the brief Leclerc/Norris battles. Max keeps chipping away and excelling in these cars, flawless from him. Very solid from Norris as well over the weekend. Oscar just had nothing extra to give today, no pace and clearly wasn't comfortable in the car, same for George Russell, expected more from him today.
I think we should get rid of this having to use 2 different tyres in a race, if 1 team thinks it can be quicker using only softs by pitting twice than another team using only mediums by pitting once then let them, it'll shake the tyre strategy up a bit more depending on who looks after their tyres better or who's quicker on a certain tyre compound.
Some of the more tyre demanding tracks could see teams trying a 1 stop with hard/hard or a 3 stop with just softs, doing this would also get rid of this tyre saving crap as well.
By all means keep the mandatory 1 stop but let them have free tyre choice, also space the life of the tyre apart a bit more as well, i mean what do we have now C1 to C5 just get rid of C2 & C4 & just have soft, medium, hard & with a larger lifespan in between them let them go at it how they see fit because technically someone with softs should not be battling someone with mediums on for that long during a race.
64 points gained in 4 races and 1 sprint. 40 points to go in 5 races and 2 sprints.
Of course Piastri had a DNF in both a race and a sprint, but still, I'm starting to believe Max will do it.
Piastri's championship journey has seriously lost steam. I've been rooting for him but looking at how Max is going. It's definitely not our of the real of possibilities that Max would clinch this. Better car or not, Max is making the difference just like he's done many times before. This was a dominant weekend for him and he is keeping this year's championship alive just when myself and lot of other people thought that it's only between the 2 McLaren drivers.
Lewis just seems so much slower than Charles. So close to that podium again and yet so far. That aside, that strategy by Ferrari with Leclerc was probably the right one overall because it looked really good there, too bad Charles couldn't keep Lando at bay.
Ignoring the 2 remaining sprints (sadly not a real option), if Max wins the next 4 races and Oscar finishes them all 3rd, they’d be tied for the finale at Abu Dhabi
Tsunoda's been rumored to go in a lot of directions next season, but other than staying put or Honda finding a spot for him in Super Formula not many of them have made much sense. I can't see him fitting in at all with Alpine for a number of reasons.
