Maybe the strategy ist o wait for a second safety car in about 10 laps. If nothing comes up they can still sacrifice one car to make up a VSC ao that the other can box, box. :D

Ferrari has to pit at least one car now. Max's tires have demonstrated that a 1-stop isn't going to work today.

Oh, better. They sacrificed another Ferrari motor. Not one of their own cars. ;-) And now the pits are closed.
 
Ferrari got lucky and then decided to risk it all and became unlucky again.
