Pretty cool circuit based on that simulator. Good luck to all racers and teams this weekend as we begin the 2015 end of the 2014-2015 season of Formula E.

Ooh, forgot that the race is on this weekend. Telecast starts at 5.30am down here, got to get up early for this one. :)

Money talks...

But for how long? The challenge is not in finding investment, but in sustaining it.

I'm not so sure, if you can't find it there is nothing to sustain. Any way, is the race on now? My phone ap said 1:00am this morning, the website said 5:00am and I can't load the live section on either, for that matter, I can't even log the FE homepage

The race is on much later, the ITV4 programme starts in over 6 hours.

Oh, forgot to post this

Formula e chief thinks, despite SebVet's comments on FE, saying he thought it was just marketing cheese, he will one day get an ePrix seat.

Quite an odd claim, but I guess they're confident FE will progress enough to attract big names over the next decade.

So... any bets that the Fonz and Billy Button will go there in a few years?

Thanks, I just checked the converter and Buenos Aires is 3 hours ahead of us and the race is on 16:00 local, so 13:00 here. I have no idea what happened to the countdown timers on the site and the phone ap. I finally got the FE homepage up and the counter is gone entirely.

My PVR has just woken up to record this on ITV4 so the race is not far away from starting now.

Well that was...something.
Love a good old war of attrition. It's closer to touring cars at the end, this. Every man for himself.
Vettel calling it "cheese"? He can stick to his Formula 1.

Lovely stuff.

I didn't even watch the race, I only had live timing and it was super intense. I won't reveal major spoilers but the winner wasn't who you expected it to be :sly:

That was a crazy race, the kerbs are still causing problems for the cars which is a big problem but the drivers know that's the risk they're taking (Chandhok and di Grassi were taken out by it), Buemi's mistake was an absolute shocker for somebody as good as he is and he can only blame himself.

Congrats to Antonio Felix da Costa for being last man standing and Nelson Piquet Jr for finishing 3rd by staying out of the way (he didn't want to get in the battle because he thought he was a lap down after the safety car mess).

Wow that was mental, seemed like nobody wanted to win that race!

Prost should have got a penalty for that block on Abt, that was just as bad as the one on Heidfeld in Beijing. Just brutal.

I am pretty sure it's standard in an FIA sanctioned event to have the ignoring of red lights being a DQ. I remember the same thing happened in the 2007 Canadian GP when Fisichella and Massa were DQ'd for doing the same thing. At least it wasn't for his championship hopes!

As it turned out, Bird's penalty was very light. If he had waited at the red light, he would have been right in front of Piquet and Senna at the restart. Having ignored the red light and having taken his drive-through, he came out right behind Senna, so his loss of time/positions was fairly minimal for an offense that usually results in a DQ.

Also, have no idea what Marco Andretti was doing blocking Alguersuari for a couple laps after the safety car came in. Andretti was a lap down and should have moved aside as soon as the race was back under green flag conditions. Surely the race would have transpired very differently had there not been a huge gap between Da Costa and Alguersuari at that stage of proceedings.

Just caught the race on youtube, had to watch the home team in their first ever national championship that was on at the same time yesterday. We lost, but only by 2 and we gave the three time defending champs a run for their money.
Another great race for Formula E and a decent circuit, loved watching them power slide through the first turn hairpin. Those last 8-10 laps it looked like those guys thought they had fenders or something. They are putting on one heck of a show for a first season in a brand new series, can't wait for more.
@SagarisGTB , can't say for sure, but the announcers said that his team mate was just ahead and they thought he was blocking to help him out. Pretty low move and it won't make him any friends on the grid, but it's Andretti so what do you expect?

TBH, Bird finished higher by exiting under red and taking the penalty than if he'd waited.

Heidfeld, who should have won 2 races now has only 3 points. WTF?

To finish first, first you have to finish.
