Practice has begun around the streets of Putrajaya, Malaysia. I wish all the drivers and teams well this weekend for this second round of the Formula E Championship.

Good morning all! Nico Prost outright fastest, but takes the 10 place penalty after Beijing, meaning Oriol Servia takes pole.

I really enjoyed that race. It helps that the circuit in Putrajaya looks far more like a proper street circuit than the one in Beijing, which reminds me a little too much of a Valencia or Sochi-type track.

Bird seemed in a class of his own all race, but I'm sure he wouldn't have had it as easy if Buemi and Di Grassi had started nearer the front.

Good race in the end. Shame for senna, he looked to be carrying more speed for a possible move at the hairpin but got it wrong.

Please, next race refrain from posting the race result without a spoiler tag.
some of us haven't watched it yet 👎

Well why enter an active thread that discusses the results? Title spoilers are the only things warned against.
For videos of the collisions as I can't find them anywhere really.

What absolute rubbish.
Lauda called this one correctly.
Do explain.

Fan voted power passing boost? You need that absolute tripe explained? This inane procession with park and drive pit stops is no more entertainment than the semi-annual tiddlywinks shoot out is a stand-in for the rugby world cup.

Good Lord man, Spec Miata series racing is more exiting - this series appeals to the same mislead monkeys that think buying a fleet of Prii and banning beef production will save the world.

Carry on - don't forget to get your carbon credit bus passes stamped on the way out.

Everybody, clear a space for the troll...

You can call it an inane procession and attack it all you like, but unless you provide solid reasons, or actually bother to contribute rather than try and stir up a bit of trouble because you feel like it, your arguments are worthless.

Ignorant comments like this make me wish there was a dislike button...

You asked me to explain. I explain and you get your panties all wadded up inside your crotch. You don't like opposing views much do you?

If agreeing with the Nikki Lauda and Sebastian Vettel makes me a troll, I proudly and loudly wear that mantle any day of the week.

It is folks like yourself that cause all the other people with contrary opinions to never speak out for fear of reprisals and being labeled.

You might want to send Mr. Lauda a quick email about his ignorance - after all, he isn't out there championing this farcical circus parade.

Again - fan voted passing boost...? You people seriously think that kind of tripe belongs in serious motor sport?

Then again with dingbats like DiCaprio owning teams, it is not surprising to see certain types of people drawn to this cheese fiasco.

So your counter argument doesn't actually contain any points to do with the sport at all!

Seriously, Lauda has been spouting crap all year, insulting Formula E and saying the Silverstone Red Flag shouldn't have happened.

Did you even watch the race? There was a lot more action than any F3 race has been able to produce. When the oil has run out and you're sat at home waiting for it to suddenly come back, while watching the rest of the world driving electric cars that have had years of development, with the help of one of the best ways to develop automotive technologies - motorsport - will you still stand by your comments?

Making up a load of random insults is not an argument. Explain.

We've seen the nonsense you've spouted in other threads to get a cheap reaction, so I'm not holding out for much...

The protocol is that you stay out of a specific event thread if you don't want to spoil the result for yourself.
Yep. Couldn't agree more.

I apologise for my post and put it down to not getting my Capri sun this morning 👍

Fan boost isn't as bad as:
  • KERS (or ERS this year)
  • DRS
  • Softer tyres (these actually make races more boring at some F1 tracks...)
  • Constant clampdown on any innovation brought to the table because one teams cage is rattled (See Blown diffusers, a change to titanium skid blocks next year, the banning of the old Brabham fan car etc. etc. etc.)
As for Di Caprio owning the team, why is this really a problem? How many casual watchers know this and how many racing fans really care?

0/10 Trolling needs work.

My first time watching just now on foxtel. Hard to get over it's like watching real expensive RC 10L2s. Maybe it wasn't the best track to watch my first race. The cars look huge. Senna's car looks like it just fell apart like paper. Was a hard hit though. I'll see how I go if they race at more permanent circuits.

Everything they're racing on is a street circuit.

:indiff: I saw passing, but might as well be closed wheel cars(yes , I know the name is FORMULA E). "The Monaco of South America" is what I just heard the commentator say for the next round. I'll keep an opened mind.

They raced on Donnington for a test race. The video Is a few pages back.

Yeah wasn't able to watch it yesterday afternoon, so glad that foxtel replayed it. I really enjoyed it, the racing was good and a fair amount of action too.(Senna's collision on the last lap.!). Definitely going to be keeping an eye on this series. 👍
