Sele1981Wow they add 23 cars from older games? And I bet this package will cost about 30$... Maybe it was only a strategy from MS/T10 to not put Porsche in from the beginning to milk the gamers...
But anyway, good news...
RX-7_FD3SSorry I didnt mean to offend anyone, I have some gay friends and I really have nothing against them. I guess for me it's a figure of speak. My apologies if I hurt anyone, I really didnt mean it.
For the rest of the debate, I wont reply because it's a never ending battle, I already had it on another forum and everyone see it differently.
But if what you're suggesting is true and they didn't put Porsche in the game purely through choice so they could add it as DLC, what about all the statements they made about talking with EA about it and not getting anywhere? Don't you think EA would have said "hang on a minute, they do have a license from us, they're conning you?"
It's far easier for some people to just naturally assume/theorize on the worst possible reasoning behind this, when it's not their preferred game series. Plus, the whole "M$ only wants your money" thing is a pretty common thought process.
It's apparent that whatever Porsche cost T10 for their first three games, EA didn't consider that enough when FM4 was in development. Either T10 has paid even more now, to have this DLC, or they came to an agreement on other terms (since we still don't know all the details of what T10 had to do to get this to work). But as GT is an even bigger franchise, and is the original competitor that took down NFS' dominance back in the late 90's, I can't imagine the price tag on Porsche would be less for PD/Sony than it was for T10/Microsoft. EA can charge different amounts for different parties, and considering PD arguably needs a bigger workforce over one marque's inclusion (as illustrious as Porsche's history is), it might be a hard sell to the higher-ups, convincing them to drop large bags of money off at EA's door in exchange for one company. Looking at it with bean-counter logic; if you're already the biggest racing game series in history, would Porsche really change much?
I really doubt we'll see Porsche in GT5. GT6? Slightly more possible, I suppose, if only because there's undoubtedly years before that sees the light of day, so who knows how EA's deal will change during that time.
Agree.TorqueHappenS08This does spell good news for PD, If EA is now willing to be lenient: with that crazy licence. then again it's 20$ DLC and no a season pass will not make it free, You get what you pay for, my opinion? really really worth it.
TorqueHappenS08Also did you know xbox/turn 10 had the licence for Ferrari, Had the choice of making it exclusive, but didn't, Good on them, same what PD did for topgear and Nissan, now Forza has GTR spec V n maybe 2012 and top gear, EA needs to stop being so greedy: just like how they made hurayra exclusive... just stupid. Everybody should get to drive everything as equall.
TorqueHappenS08EA is just seriously to greedy.
Agree.
Well i dont read something about a Top Gear or Nissan exclusiv license for Sony. Can someone confirm that?
I now that MS made a Deal with Top Gear and Pirelli.
I agree with you that exclusiv Manufacture Deals are against Customer![]()
Tofu RNo R35 GTR, because they are a bunch of ***waffles. Apparently the GTR team is independent from the rest of Nissan on many levels, one of them being licensing. The only way they would allow us to use the R35 was if it had no damage, no rollover, no custom wheels, no custom parts that improved performance, no painting, and no livery. So we said no thanks.
I don't realy care if they add Porsches to GT5 or 6, we already have a Beetle in the game, why do we need more?![]()

Porsche better be a good reason as to why Kaz and PD are so quite with the March update and DLC.![]()
snowgtEven if they only break even on a Porsche-DLC package, it would be advisable to do it, because they will get more sales of the full GT5 game out of it./QUOTE]
I don't think Porsche would improve sales in GT or Forza for that matter.
All it does is keep people who have already purchased the game happy. Just a fan service I suppose. With that philosophy there's no reason for PD to implement Porsche other than to keep people happy.
What is PD is actually being quiet because they're modelling the Koenigsegg Agera R and not a Porsche?![]()

Well. EA is a Company and they want Money. Sony and Xbox do that too if a Game is released on their Plattform. But i can't Give you Details![]()
CDJWIt would be nice, but Forza 3 had Porsches and GT5 didn't end up having any. We can hope though. I'm sure there's some deal to be made somewhere along the line.
Forza's charging 20 dollars for the pack though, which is sort of a gyp since they were already made (except 7 models) and part of the game anyway (all these cars were in 3 as well) when they unexpectedly were forced to yank them out. Now they get to use it as an excuse to add another 20 dollars to the game's price for doing nothing.

I think gran turismo will never get Porsche nor Ruf for that matter.
That's what she said King1982.![]()
