@mustafur That's the Spirit-R, the regular one has that ****** sound from FM7.

I tried defending Forza's choices with sounds as of late against the harsh critics but it's impossible. I lost all will to do that once I learned the cars that sound best in FH4 are among the ones that use the old samples.

Both FDs have the same sound pretty much.

Any idea why I can't download the last two pairs of dlc cars? Whenever I try to download them it says it's an unreleased car with a date of 02/07/2019 which was nearly a month ago

Try downloading the car pass again. I had the same problem a couple times and downloading the car pass again usually fixed it.

Supra was added in the update of GT Sport, they explained in the comment that "Supra was developed to be active in real motor sports and GT Sport".
In other words, it is "that kind of thing", and we are likely to have to wait more until Toyota returns to a console game other than GT Sport.

I am not willing to criticize polyphony digital in this case.
But I hope the history of monopoly of these foolish licenses will not repeat any more.

It'll continue and happens every year. It's most obvious in football games, where FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer compete with each other for exclusive rights to teams and championships.

DiRT Rally 2.0 doesn't have any WRC cars, presumably because WRC 8 is releasing later this year.

The right license can guarantee sales of a particular game over another.

Best thing Forza fans could probably do, is make it clear to Toyota of Japan that they don't appreciate this kind of exclusivity (assuming it goes beyond the one car).

If Polyphony have sewn up exclusivity for the entire Toyota brand, I'm a bit more likely to "blame" them for being gross and anti-competitive. It's one thing to make some deal for a new car, and another entirely to take an entire car manufacturer off the table. Especially when Forza and GT aren't direct competitors in the first place.

Of course, it's even more Toyota's fault (specifically, Toyota of Japan), for choosing this course of action in the first place.

Well that's nice of them. Starting to get real tired of their **** lately.

I'm confused - why are you mad here? This is how all of the seasonal prize cars have worked from the beginning.

Like the Boneshaker, they'll all presumably become available via some other means at a later date.

I'm just annoyed by the game in general lately; this was just another thing to add to the list. All of the others have been handled just as badly.

Agree to disagree I guess. I actually like the idea that they introduce prize cars you can't just acquire after the window closes, as long as they become available again to completionists at some future point. Makes it more meaningful to actually "win" them when they are available.

Problem is, we don't know that "future point". It could be weeks or months. And even then, if you're not up to date on what's what, you could miss it then too.

True, but I'd be interested to know the Venn diagram for players who are both a) completionists, yet b) don't keep up-to-date on what cars are coming to the game, and when.

As for when the come back, I kinda half-agree. I'm sure they probably don't even know precisely when they'll start recycling prize cars into the game, but just a concrete confirmation that they will, would be good.

I'm not a completionist I just really wanted to drive that particular car. I had a busy week at work and didn't get the chance to log on and complete the events to get it.

As I recall, there was someone here on the forum who stockpiled like 20 of the Regalias from the auction house, and posted a picture of them in his garage in this very thread. Might want to see if you two can try to arrange something.

I'll take a look back through the thread in that case. Thanks! 👍

I have to say PD and Toyota are both jokers, especially Toyota. Absolutely disgusted by this action the two companies has taken.

The fact that Toyota had to take away every single car from other games but GTS is no excuse. I mean really, why do that to your dying hard fans who supported you all these years, only to betray them years later?

They rather tarnish their image then keep it.

Oh well. At least Mitsubishi isn't as lame, and Porches woken up to end the license with EA (even though T10 managed to obtain them via licenese purchases in the past). If Toyota want to butt kiss PD, be my guess. I just hope this won't last forever...

Remember when we all felt sorry for Gran Turismo being one of the many franchises to get the shaft from EA when it came to securing the Porsche license?

At this point, I think it's all but certain that PD and Toyota struck a licensing deal. They're still trying to hide it (as in, they haven't made any announcements about it), but they are not really fooling anyone, are they?

If you've got exclusive licenses, then that's fine. I just wish they'd come clean about it. At least I'd admire their honesty if they did that.

I have FH2, FM4, FM5 and FM6 to play with the Toyota-Lexus cars that really matter to me, namely the A-80 and the LFA. The new one they can keep it...

I mean, not to toot my own horn or anything, but it's been obvious to me since the very beginning that Toyota struck an exclusitivity deal with PD. Japanese companies love to shoot themselves in the foot and **** everyone else over with short-sighted business decisions.

It's also nice to see the hypocrisy at play when people (rightfully, should be noted) lambasted EA for the Porsche exclusitivity deal, yet Polyphony is seemingly in the right to do it. I guess it's no different then people saying that T10 and PG were the devil incarnate for putting loot boxes and micro-transactions into FM7 (When that wasn't the case in the slightest) yet when Polyphony straight up lie to fans and put MT's in, people do cartwheels to justify it.

I don't drink them at all because the last few times I tried early January gave me bad chest pains.

No caffeine for this boy.

Also, it was costing me hundreds of dollars a month.

I like Nos and Red Bull (standard flavours only). I also used to be able to get a drink here in Canada called Red Rain that was tasty, and cost like 1/3 what a 24-pack of Red Bull costs, but I can't find it anywhere anymore.

Do you have a link to this comment?

I think the thing that pisses me off about the Toyota exclusivity deal is that Toyota, nor Polyphony, have said anything, even the usual bragging press release that basically says 'we got it, nobody else does, nananana'

Both Toyota and Polyphony knows this is ********. And they're too scared about the backlash to even come out and say it. At least EA was honest when they locked up the Porsche license for years and years. So in the meantime, we'll still have people who will try and say 'oh, well, this community manager said this!' or 'my uncle at Nintendo said that!' when it's obvious what the truth is, and what it has been since the very beginning.
