I really wish there was a place online where you could give someone your GT and they could do hard parts of a game or unlock something for you. I really want this drift zone done because that Pontiac will probably be the first Forzathon car I'll miss if I don't get this

@RazorSharkz if you can get to 80% it'll unlock retroactively when they push the update through.

Later tweets said "Be prepared for dissapointment" and "Emphasis on maybe".

I appreciate that PG is trying to make this whole thing better, and I am sure the GTO will become available somewhere else down the line but you never know for sure.

That wouldn't make any sense. Why would they say something like that and then not follow through after the current backlash.

Do you have a screenshot of these tweets?

Have you tried the Hoonicorn with Don Joewon Song's Gymkhana tune? That's my go-to drift zone car, with a controller and using manual gears you basically tap the handbrake, floor it and rack up the points. It changes direction very easily and the power is plenty to keep all four wheels spinning.

80%? So, I still have to do the Trials?

Apparently, yes - so we're pretty much back to the status quo ante Series 7 update.

The Colorado's in the Forzathon shop? Ooooooooh, looks like I am getting some money from livery downloads, then!

I've seen the tweets you mean but I thought that was before, but still, if you can't make it to 100% you can get to 80% and hope they get it done I suppose!

Exact science is not an exact science. The update may simply not work as expected. :D

My guess: for people with already 80+%, you'll still need to introduce a modifier to unlock the car, which is why they're out of luck. For others, it's gonna be fine. It's a shame, because the new achievements don't work this way, they activate retroactively, but all we can do now is hope it works.

I'm not good at drifting but I cleared this zone with the Hoonigan RX-7 (default setup) in second attempt. I'm not even sure that's the best car for the job. Since rain is also a common occurrence during autumn, make sure to give it a go in dry conditions. It's just easier to hold a lucrative slide when the surface is dry.

My best in that drift zone was about 51,000. I tried it in the Hoonicorn with a completely stock tune last night and got 61,000.

I'm struggling with the speed zone. I need 140 mph but I can't get closer than about 135.

I either used a Mosler or Agera RS. Both handle well and are really fast.

The Hoonicorn stock is the closest I am getting to this drift zone. But still 10,000 points away at best.

I've used a modified Porsche 918 and got near 50 points for that zone last night.

Edit: For the Speed Zone, I used the stock F50 GT I won from the playlist. A great handler with decent amount of torque to maintain its speed.

I used Vauxhall Monaro for the drift zone - I have S1 class drift tune for that car, and it served me nicely. Completed it in the first try!

Speed zone was a lot more tricky, but I managed to clear it with Senna in about 5-6 tries - that car has monstrous grip. By the way, I found it faster to go uphill than downhill.

I finally got it with the Koenigsegg Agera RS. Your'e right, going uphill was much better then down.

Does anyone has a working knowledge of the speed zones? All I know is the smoother you are the easier to achieve three stars (or the seasonal objective). The Agera RS is also my speed zone buster.

Outright speed isn't the answer, you also need grip in order to carry said speeds into and out of the corners.
I agree, what I want to know is how it all works, since the entry speed marked at the first gateway doesn't match my actual speed at that moment.

Yeah, I noticed that too... I don't understand it either.

Glad I'm not the only one who found out about this. Not sure if it's a bug, but it can come in handy if you maintain your speed through the corners. It's how I gold that zone with the F50 GT.

Anyone thinking a bike related expansion is on the cards might have to re-evaluate.

It's disappointing but not surprising. A motorcycle-themed Horizon that incorporated the best parts of Daytona Bike Week, Sturgis, Laconia, Loretta Lynn's motocross championship, and the Iron Butt Rally would be a lot of fun.

I think Reliant Supervan is (or was, I'm not completely sure) technically a motorcycle under UK law, right?

If so, we technically have a playable motorcycle in this game.

Run a Mosler and run uphill, you'll bag it soon enough, it's not hard at all. You could also use the pay-to-win car in the Car Pass (Agera RS).

The drift zone is even easier, to me at least. Got it first try with Justin Pawlak's Mustang.

For the Danger Zone, grab an AWD hypercar and nail the jump so that you land on the street (hit the ramp slightly to the left). Easy 170 meters.

Motorcycle for driving license purposes.

Same goes for the Morgan 3 Wheeler. While classified as a motorcycle throughout the world, Australia, however, classified the 3 Wheeler as a car.

My go to Danger Zone car is the Funco Motorsports buggy. Not sure why it works so well but it always gets the job done for me.
It's a buggy with over 1000HP. Lightweight and powerful, I think that answers that :)

What is everyone's strategy for the Playlists? What do you do first?

I think doing the Forzathon challenges first is a good start, but where do you go from there?

I will usually start with Playground Games first then Trials second. After that, than I do the Seasonal Championships, PR stunts, and Forzathon challenges until the season is over.
