The Pulsar was introduced as a post-launch car in FH4, at the same time as the Mitsubishi Starion, Peugeot 205 Rallye and Ford Racing Puma.

Edit: Tree'd

I guess this is as good a thread as any to speculate/gripe: Forza has always been a really top-tier car buff franchise, rivaled only by GT when it comes to getting way deep into the different kinds of disciplines of racing and a huge variety of road cars. But while I understand every anthology-style approach to creating content lists has a blind spot or two, why has there never been a selection of classic '60s/'70s road cars from Maserati? I'm not exactly a fanboy of the marque but I'm still bugged by the fact that we've never seen the original Ghibli, Bora, Merak, early-gen Quattroportes, Kyalami, 3500 / 5000 GT, Indy, Sebring, Khamsin, Mistral, or much of anything else road-car-wise pre-2000s despite their renown. They even produced a car called the Maserati Mexico (named because the prototype was sold to the actual president of Mexico) and I doubt it'll ever show up in this game. It's borderline inexplicable.

I'm happy - Reliant Supervan has made the list :D

Theres a lot more still to be unveiled , feel pretty sure BMW is waiting for new cars to be unveiled via a Twitter post in due course.

Also, in the VW car list, have you noticed the regular Beetle isn't shown? I think that's going to have it's own special segment in a future Let's Go episode...

I seem to recall the VW Beetle was confirmed to be a barn find. Maybe they didn't include the barn finds on this list?

possible. maybe one of the older porsches could be a barn find too like the 550 spyder hope the gto the judge and the 99 viper makes it to the full list. will be suprised if they didn't.

Looks like the Fiesta WRC is in after all. Hope that wasn't a mistake.

I count 142 cars that I'm interested in collecting and driving so far. What about you guys?
Also looks like we still have to deal with Chevrolet Super Sport as opposed to SS, despite things like the Mercedes being listed as SSK....
I still struggle to comprehend how some people look at two 'S's, side by side, in a font that looks nothing like the dreaded symbol, in the context of an all-ages racing game, and the first thing that comes to mind is not something like Super Sport or Special Stage. It's probably a licensing issue though.

Long ago, when they first changed it they stated it was to align with GMs global marketing strategy, but yet the Camaro SS is still sold as a Camaro SS everywhere as far as I can tell, and the Chevy SS was still being sold as such at the time and that argument was further soiled when they made the change for any car with SS in the title, like the SSK or the EB110.

The only cars blatantly missing on the list over at FM.net are the regular mc12 and the F40 lm,they must be barn finds, surely?

According to the GTP guide's list, there is a "monster truck" Bone Shaker. Could this perhaps be the Baja Bone Shaker?

I think this may be the Hot Wheels Bone Shaker monster truck variant they're referring to:

Car list has been updated!

A couple of points;

  • Ford is weird one. On the Twitter list, we had 52 cars revealed. On this FM.Net list, we have 54 revealed here. The 2018 Mustang GT from the twitter list is gone. But we've gained the 77 Escort Rally, 2017 M-Sport Fiesta and the 66 Lotus Cortina. I'll take the FM.Net list as it's the latter "official" one but nonetheless, weird.
  • There are some Brands that look pretty much complete here, in terms of their final launch lineup. My guesses would be obviously Ford, Jag, Merc, Porsche. Though Audi, Honda, Chevrolet, Pagani and maybe Dodge look like they're done for launch as well.
  • A lot of one-make manufacturers are missing here that I think will surely return for launch. Triumph, Italdesign, W Motors, Terradyne, Mercury and Oldsmobile just to name a couple.
  • Likewise for old british cars. I get that we were bound to loose some, but they're basically all gone in this list so far. Aside from the Morris Minor pretty much.
  • If you add back 70% of the major marques, that's another 55 cars. Doesn't leave a lot of room if the car list is a shade over 500.
  • Also there's no way we're only launching with 25 Ferraris, cutting 6 Maseratis at launch, 6 Lotus', 7 Astons etc. I expect a lot of those to return as well. Which means space is very very tight if we are launching with just over 500 cars. Especially if BMW are coming back with say 23-24 models.
  • The Mitsubishi Galant was spotted as a traffic car, but isn't listed here. Hoping it doesn't share the same fate as the 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 :(
  • Would be very disappointing if there are no more New-to-Forza models at launch. I think it goes without saying, we need to see how this car list (at launch) is better than FH4's (at launch). At the moment, 15 New to Forza models and at +40/50 final total count won't cut it, especially if say BMW are removed.

Yeah, given that there are still "meme cars" like Morgan 3 Wheeler and Reliant Supervan, Gurkha is likely to be on the FH5 launch car list.
This car is not fast, but it is one of the most popular cars, as its huge body is used for various free-roaming fun.

The absence of Cadillac Limousine, another "meme car" in this premise, seems a bit odd, but since some cars that seem to be exclusive cars, like Beetle, are missing, I'm guessing that this car is probably available as a career mode prize or something.

I’m worried about BMW gone missing to be honest. In the Formula Drift lineup, every brand/model from FH4 is returning except the BMW 325i drift car… (and only 1 of the 3 Nissan 240SX’ made it).

Unannounced brands:

  • Abarth
  • Alfa Romeo
  • Ascari
  • Bentley
  • BMW
  • Bugatti
  • Chrysler
  • Citroen
  • DS Automobiles
  • Fiat
  • HSV
  • Hudson
  • Italdesign
  • Kia
  • Lancia
  • Mazda
  • Mercury
  • MINI
  • Noble
  • Oldsmobile
  • Rossion
  • Shelby
  • Triumph
  • Volvo
  • Willys
The Willys is on the list, it's the last car.

We've got 112 more cars (out of a possible 543 car list, including Forza Editions) to go. With BMW and Mazda being potentially revealed soon, it will leave us with 471 out of 543 cars at most that are revealed.

out of a possible 543 car list
Mike Brown literally stated on the stream, when that number was on the screen, not to pay too much attention to that number as the game version they were playing was a dev build...

I’m not sure why PG wanted to announce a partial car list, because it only seems to have caused frustrations.
Agreed

I think a better way would have been to release a list of just the cars returning from FH4 and use only newcomers to the series in upcoming social media posts or videos. They could continue adding to the final list as they announce on their timing.

But the way they did this just left too much guessing room and doubt in the mind of consumers.

Agreed but I imagine why it's coming to us piecemeal is because they're still sorting the licensing out.

So either we wait all this time for a full reveal (which wouldn't stop people predicting/guessing until that list comes out) or we get it piecemeal like we have so far. I'd prefer all at once but I can see why PG has drip fed us, even if it has been a bit confusing and unorganized.

A part of me would have preferred to just not release a car list at all. Let it all be a surprise apart from what we can see in the trailers.
