Just got back on the game after a few weeks of low motivation, and I'm just wondering why the 2023 Z, Galant and AMG GT Black aren't showing up in the auction house at all. Are people hoarding those three cars hardcore?

This week's Hot Wheels challenge seemed to favour using different cars on each race for me... Nexus Speed Sprint seemed to be more of a Bone Shaker track while the Waterslide seemed tailor made for the Deora. The other track suited the Twin Mill for me but I decided to use the Rip Rod since I haven't driven that car much if at all.

Interesting! I used just the Bone Shaker for all of this week's Hot Wheels events minus the PR stunt.

Well they can only get one from the seasonal, so you are after players who collected their seasonal and then decided to sell it weeks later. Can't be many people doing that.

I'm aware of them being playlist exclusives. I'm just confused because the '72 K10 and the Hummer EV took no more than 20 seconds to find and get a copy.

This probably would've worked for me as well. For some reason I keep thinking the Bone Shaker is good in straight lines but not on turns although I have a pretty flexible tuning setup on it. At any rate it sounded like an excuse to try out those Hot Wheels cars that usually gather dust in my garage. Fortunately weekly events are capped at a low skill level so I'm not coerced into using the fastest cars all the time.

I would have tried out the Baja Bone Shaker but it was tuned to a different PI class.

For the PR stunts, on the other hand, I was too lazy to test out different cult cars and find tunes so I just took @Famine's advice and used his VW Type 2 tune.

While taking a picture of my ‘64 Bel Air for the weekly challenge, I noticed this rather bizarre reflection in the fountain.

The premium add on includes the car pass DLC and the VIP pack, as well as both expansion DLCs. Unless you hate having more cars, it's definitely worth it for the tiny price difference.
Oh I should have mentioned I already own the car pass. So the premium add on would just be the vip pass and welcome pack for me. Which doesn't seem to be that exciting?

hmm, Steam doesn't have the premium pack in the same form as the one available for Gamepass users. It has an add-ons bundle which is basically pointlessly expensive. It's on sale for €42 here, as compared with €50 for the entire FH5 premium edition (which contains everything in the bundle plus the base game).

I assume you are not missing the 5 unique VIP Forza Edition cars? If not, it's definitely much cheaper to just buy the two expansions alone on Steam.

Rather a bit bummed that you cannot paint the Syclone's lower plastic trim, anybody know if you can paint the Typhoon's?

If the earllier games are anything to go by, probably not.

Oh, Forza Motorsport 4. A shame that I can't download liveries anymore and only having half of the DLC of it. (I only own the car pass and have the limited edition, so I don't have Porsche and the other car packs not included in the car pass)

Anyhow, I enjoyed that Tsukuba event in Horizon 5. The same with the High Speed Ring replica a year ago or so, can't remember.

The story was kind of whatever, but it does make me think that specific tuner challenges in that same vein would be a fun addition to future games. Maybe even have some for each car, where you get an accolade or a prize for making a rally-build or drift-spec version of a specific model and then hitting some sort of lap time / speed trap / skill score goal. Maybe they could even make it out to be some sort of club, possibly with a big round number attached to it. It doesn't even have to be a high number, either. Like maybe the lowest possible four-digit number or something.
I'd just gone back through to see how folks reacted to Donut Media Part 1 on a whim when I saw this. Maybe now that the Test Track is a full-time feature (apparently), the Horizon Story they're adding next Series'll end up making more use of it, without the context of Donut Media.

Probably not 'cause it does sound like there's gonna be a Part 3, but I feel like it's worth bringing up.

Cheeky request time....

Could I please get some tune download and likes please? I won't ask you to use them as that takes even longer on top. If you do any downloads and likes let me know and I will of course return the favour. Thank you.

I got selected to take part in a Xbox FH5 survey, did anyone else out of interest?

If someone wants to try my 1956 Ford F-100 build for the seasonal offroad championship in A800:

I drive those in Coop and because of the "Rods and Customs" categorie there were some Bone Shaker as AI and in Team Humans and i just destroyed them lol... So not sure if the OP Bone Shaker is not great offroad or other players skill issue but i was a bit wondering why i did so great with my quick created F-100 build xD

I was always under the impression the Bone Shaker is mostly a threat on asphalt and not all that great on dirt.

I tried a Bone Shaker build for CC a few days ago.

It’s currently my fastest car on Dirt, CC, Street and 2 tenths off on Road. It has effectively replaced every car I would normally use in that class, across all race types.

(The GMC Jimmy is still faster in Rally Adventure road though 🙂)

It’s in the A-Class tab here:

A-ha! Thanks for the clarification. I'll have to try building one of my own one of those days.
