The only way to buy wheelspins in FH5 is by actually playing the game or earning Forzathon points by doing the playlists or getting achievements, you can't buy wheelspins with physical money. Much like you acquire roulette tickets in GT7 by actually playing the game. Again, your argument holds no weight.
I literally write almost same thing in quoted post, what are you talking about?(I was more specific and didn't lie, through, unlike you as you could buy limited amount with VIP)🤔

Man that was painful to read. I hope he will get better mental health in the future.

Look guys, I think usage of terms like mental health without, idk, arguments, is kinda offensive. Next person who would try to insult me will get my report. Don't like discussing - don't comment on this specific topic. Use emojis reaction if you don't have arguments, but don't like what I saying.

I already posted why wheelspins in Horizon are gatcha with quote from Wikipedia aligned with my thesis 100%.

I not denying that you can't buy wheelspins directly with MTX and these mechanics NOT CONNECTED to MTX DIRECTLY. Its separate discussion from P2W.

Yes, ability to buy 99% of cars including meta ones directly with vouchers or by exchange of bought cars for ingame cash and buying FOMO stuff on auction is P2W(its hard to find games with heavier p2w these day). It doesn't matter how easy you can get stuff with ingame progression. Problem isn't that its part of Horizon 5 at its last breath. Problem is that you normalising it, and it could influence next game. Thing that wasn't done by community in FM7 and both FM7 and FM lacks gatcha, for good.

Can someone tell me how to get the GT3 RS 992? I don't see it in the store. Just bid or wait for backstage? Thank you very much.
It's one of the "hard to find" cars, which will either be available in a playlist or via backstage. So yes, you are right.

However, if you are unbelievably lucky it might appear on the Auction House. But I doubt there are many owners of the car willing to auction it off, so don't rely on that.

That might be relevant if you hadn't literally just directly insulted someone - without the need for "I think [x] is kinda offensive"; just a straight-up pejorative aimed right at another user - and weren't coming off a three-month ban because you couldn't stop doing it already. Since three months of growing up wasn't enough, let's try a little longer.

Fun thing is, I sort of agree with a bit of your point. Gambling is fundamentally atrocious, and increasingly aimed at kids with blanket sports advertising, brightly coloured ads with cartoon characters, and silly catchphrase language, and shoving a one-armed bandit simulation into a less po-faced, more kid-friendly racing game is part and parcel of normalising it.

But FH5 throws cars and credits at you like Oprah's having a breakdown. Yes, it absolutely has a lot of paid DLC (Car Pass, Car Packs, VIP, expansions), but you don't need them to "win", so it isn't "Pay to Win"*, and you can't buy wheelspins or super wheelspins even indirectly for real money, so they aren't (by the original and undiluted meaning) microtransactions either.

And what you've done in trying to defend the position that they are is get yourself so worked up you've dropped back into the habit of being a dick to other people.

*Except in certain weeks of the Playlist, where pay-to-play (mulitiplayer, expansion) is required to hit the higher reward; I routinely criticise this, including in relevant GTPlanet site articles, as it is mince.

No mate it's not. Under UK law British citizens can play the UK and Euro Millions lotteries from the age of 16 as they are not classed as gambling. To gamble in the UK you must be 18 years old.

So no, in the UK it's not gambling. I unfortunately due to a lack of knowledge cannot speak for the rest of the world.

The minimum age changed a few years ago to 18 to bring it in line with other forms of gambling.

Mate you're correct. I apologise. I don't play it myself so hadn't realised it had changed.

Look @inCloud just accept we all disagree overall with your point of view. You think one way, we think another. I accept your point of view and will always defend your right to have it, it does mean I have to agree to it.

As an individual you do not need to be or ever can be correct about everything in life, and this is not me stating I'm correct this time either.

I think it's time you took a step back, had a nice relaxing cup of tea and a tasty biscuit.

Just my 2 cents: the fact that you absolutely don't need to buy wheels pins, doesn't change the fact that it is in the game and therefore there are mtx in Forza Horizon 5.

Buying Wheelspins (which are given out like candy for all sorts of actions in the game) can only be done with Forzathon Points. You can neither buy Wheelspins nor Forzathon Points with real-world cash, therefore it is not a microtransaction.

Microtransactions are the purchase of digital goods (originally digital currency, but the meaning has warped over time to refer to all digital goods) for real currency.

Wait you can't buy forzathon points even? Oh wow did not expect that.

OK forget my 2 cents then sorry. I thought they would monotize the fomo of hard to find cars for sure.

At this point all my flabbers will be gasted if the next FH is not in Japan, I mean the Chaser JZX 100 in the new FM car pack alone hints it too strong.

And now with GTA 6 moving to next year, autumn of this year is all ready for the next FH to claim assuming the game is ready for release this year.

I really hope that PG won’t do a T10 and release a game 2 years too early like what happened with the new FM, but I still have faith in them so let’s go.

Hey, the update also gave Forza fans the De Tomaso Pantera GT5. Finally De Tomaso licensed in a modern game! So clearly Italy is in the running too? ;)

(actually the Mazda Furai is huge too. Didn't expect that Mazda would ever consider licensing it after all that happened)

Only replying to say it's a Mark II rather than the Chaser JZX100.

Spot on mate. You can also only buy 1 super and 1 normal wheelspin each season,so even if you have loads of FP you cant binge buy wheelspins. 👍

Only once a week?! B-but where am I gonna get the stuff maaaan... I need the stuuuff... (starts mainlining wheelspins)
You're turning into a serious Forzaholic my good friend. Before your wheelspin gambling problem gets worse you need to contact Petrol Heads Anonymous on 0800 8008135.

Talking of FP points, I am still getting my "free" points every week and they seem to be increasing as it was >1000 last week which means I can't spend them even buying the weekly Backstsge Pass...

FH5 the most downloaded game from the PS Store in Europe (3rd in the US) - pretty good considering it came out at the end of the month

Leaderboard analysis suggests somewhere between 850K and 1 million new PS players.

Hopefully we'll all get a good boost on our tunes, vinyls and liveries then 🤞🤞

Every day, in every way, I'm getting better and better wheelspin prizes. But you know how it is once the red mist appears. Car vouchers are like drugs, mate.

The first one is free.

You should move on to a roulette wheel mate. Apparently that's no way near as bad or addictive I've read.

It is terrible when you get hooked on free vouchers then they make you pay.....

That's what I'm saying.

The trouble with those fixed roulette wheels in other games though is that the house always wins. Not like in FM6...

Not a problem for me, all I ever seem to get is 1,000 credits...
There was a time though when I was seriously addicted to those Spaik sun dresses.

Free points? I have VIP but only get 2 free super wheelspins.
It's not intentional, I think theres some weird bug that's giving me points I shouldn't have every week (PS can nobody tell PG eh, please ;) )

I think people should just start betting on drivatars like it's horse racing. When is FH5: Draft Kings Degenerate Gambler's Edition coming out?
