I wonder if Horizon 6 will close the show.

Also 10 bucks on the good ol' Forza Aero getting shown (pls prove me wrong PG)
You know, the only thing Gran Turismo aero has is variety (3 sizes of rear wings x almost 20 types give you a lot of combinations, although I end up choosing 2-3), otherwise it's not that much better. And FH body kits > GT wide bodies.

There, new kits and aero!

I’m very pleased that it looks a lot more of a transformative experience as opposed to just a refreshed one. I loved 5, but it was very iterative of 4 (which was fine for me, but I could understand why some people were disappointed by it).

Here, they look as though they’ve gone out of their way and used the time to address the biggest bugbears people have had, such as the lack of any feeling of progression, roads being too wide/flowing, somewhat limited customisation and so on. I was always going to put hundreds of hours in to it regardless, but I’m very much pleased with what was shown. Also; Honda Beat!

The estate does look like a nice new feature. Otherwise it was a bit “same but shinier”, which isn’t a bad thing as the FH formula is pretty well refined at this point.

EDIT - the progression does sound different which is promising. Hopefully it has the right balance, not too grindy but still rewarding.

Wrong on both counts, lol

Looks like PGG didn't spend the last five years faffing around. Immediate takeaways from the Direct:
  • we're seeing a return of wristband-gated progression from "filthy tourist" to "Horizon legend". This probably also means they've thrown the gameplay loop of Horizon 4 and 5 in the trash, and it will be interesting to see how they replace it;
  • the new bodykits and Forza Aero look good, but it remains to be seen how many cars will get new parts, and how much variety of "Forza original" parts we'll get;
  • "Forza Edition" cars are possibly going in the direction of insane, unique visual and performance customization - which means that maybe I won't instantly remove them from the garage this time around;
  • paintable windows = more work for me, yay;
  • Honda Beat and City Turbo II confirmed, which means I'll be pre-ordering this evening regardless of other concerns.

well I went ahead and preordered for early access on steam, good chance this is my most played game of the year even with gta6 coming

Good lord. FH6 > GTA 6
Til Trailer 3 drops. :p

It does look massively amazing. From what the first images show, it does look like a little bit of Motorsport will live on; there’s a shot in the trailer that looks a lot like Fujimi Kaido, which could explain how it came to FM to begin with in that it was already being worked on for FH6.

But, I really am excited to see how diverse this map is. Looks like they have accomplished getting the best of everything in Japan so far.

We’re getting a Formula D Lexus LFA, I don’t care for drift cars but that is a want and a need.

It’s all a bit too drifty for my liking but unavoidable with the location. Hopefully there’s enough other activities, the blog mentions doing tofu deliveries to earn credits. Sounds fun, would be more fun on a bike.
