I saw a post on Twitter and felt I NEEDED to show yall this comparison.

They're really making us dream

Yo the Suzuki carry is there as a trafic car.
Can’t wait to tune it like crazy and make some sort of drift/pikepeak build with it!! 😁
Or maybe we get a Forza edition carry too…

Edit: not a carry but still a kei truck so good enough for me

My first wishlist feature for Horizon Tokyo would be when you're ten or so short of 100% road discovery the remaining routes flash red and white* on the map so you can't miss them.

This'd shorten my total play time by days but they're not good days so it'd be ok.

That actually gives me a lot of hope that my 3050 will be absolutely fine.

Will they increase the number of people allowed on convoy? A new limit of 20 people would be very interesting.

game looks great, graphicaly just a step ahead but overall once again i felt that people at playground are hearing feedback of the community

meanwhile in japan lots of hype for the game, the only complain i saw was about the license plates but otherwise everyone seems very hyped

obivusly mostly will buy for pc or ps5 later it seems, but local xbox fans are hyped as well

I'll definitely be plugging my Xbox back in for this game. I really want to see what Tokyo city will look like under lights because I loved playing it in Midnight Club 3. It looks like we'll get the districts of Yokohama, Shibuya, Ginza, Shinjuku and Akihabara in this game. I do wonder how the devs will attack Tokyo Bay though.

2 things:
1- Devs said Tokyo will have 5 areas
2- Yokohama is not in Tokyo, it is on Kanagawa Prefecture, Tokyo bay cover nearby prefectures as well

Larry Chen is partnering with the game for promotional duties. If you live under a rock, Larry is a motorsport photograph that's been affiliated with Speedhunters, Hoonigan, WEC/IMSA, Formula D and pretty much every other motorsport association around the world for the last 15+ years. He's also a huge car nerd. Hopefully that means there's perhaps a bit of an overhaul for photomode.

It's going to be a loooooong 5 months.

Watched the presentation when it showed up on my youtube feed. I used to like the series but fell off hard with 4 and 5. Fortnitified re-treads of the third the third game in my opinion, so my hype was muted.

But no they actually delivered the goods?

Five times bigger city than the last one sounds great, love to finally have one that isn't a 4 streets wide max. Roads outside the city even look interesting, that tight touge switchback looks glorious. The seasons have an actual visual impact again.

Some semblance of progression at least, and locking an entire island till after the campaign is very ballsy considering their main playerbase these days. Love it.

Garages like PGR. I also wished for houses you can go inside akin TDU, but the garage is already more than I expected. The building site looks cool as well.

Car remodels.... I almost don't want to give flowers here because rolling into a Japan Horizon game with 2005-made models would be an absolute disgrace. But better late than never, I guess. Small additions like window decals and 900-degree steering? Asked about for ages and they're finally doing it. Traffic cars refreshed after four games of the roster being almost the game.

Liked seeing the Honda Beat and the Honda City and that alone showed me they're already pulling more from the local car culture then they did from Mexico.

As for what I further want:

Cut down on the festival playlist FOMO. I've accepted the live service element of the game isn't going anywhere, but at least put the cars in the autoshow after a month instead of having to spend a fortune on auction house or waiting years for backstage.

No more character customization and moronic emotes, and cringe side characters are given the boot. Cut stories and bring back bucket lists unless the quality of the stories is greatly improved. Bonus if street racing has an illegal framing about it but they would never let the game be anything other E for everyone.

Good music selection that isn't butchered by censorship, and better yet a Spotify integration would be nice.

Overall I'm happy with what I saw. I totally get why they held off from doing Japan until next gen, imagine if this was FH4 and we got a puny town based on some village in Sapporo instead of Tokyo. Good call.

The... License plates? I thought they were quite accurate. Certainly a damn sight better of the same Euro-Australian "Horizon Festival" monstrosity that's been circulating since Horizon 3, and I fully expected to see minimally adapted for Horizon 6 as well.

Then again, I figure if the Japanese say they're inaccurate, they are.

It looks great. good to see that there is some progression this time.

I started my xbox this morning to see the preorders.
In Europe it is:
Standard - 69,95
Deluxe - 99,95
Premium 119,95

So 20 Euro's more for the whole package. Considering the amount of hours I will put into it it does not really make a difference for me.

Great news is it says cross saving between Steam and Microsoft. Was so annoying having two different saves, one on the deck and one on the Xbox.

Now I know the deck won't be able to run it anyway (let's be real, it just about pulled off 5) but what concerns me is how that'll work for expansions. They say that you won't be able to use DLC across platforms, you'll need to buy separately - so if you want to play between your handheld and the console, you could be out big money.

All theoretical of course, but something to think about anyways.
