I am hopefully but not expecting motorcycles honestly. Ya they'd be a cool addition, but on the other hand I won't complain if they aren't.

I find the cars we've seen so far to be exceptional. I was scared when I heard that we were only getting 550, but it seems like the list will be quite curated based on what we've seen so far. I certainly hope it is better than some of Motorsport's weird additions and omissions.

Of course the updated models of old cars is very good news, but I think it's absolutely worth commending them for updating newer cars like the GT-R Nismo to the newest facelift, as well as updating the NSX to the Type-S. It helps the car list feel fresh still, even if they're not significantly different.

I wasn't expecting them to update the Evo VI to the TME either, but I'm extremely happy about that as well.

The number plates being inaccurate is almost a staple for the FH series at this point
true
The... License plates? I thought they were quite accurate
they are but arent
the writing and fext is a bit off and japanese plates are squared like motorbike plates instead of retangules
Garages like PGR
auto mdodelista was the first thing that came on my mind when i saw the custom garages
I just realized, Torben's now the design director of FH6. As in, the same guy behind Torben Tuesdays way back in FH4.
he also teased bargains becoming a game mechanic with certain cars you can find in the world and buy
i assume this would be the new way to get update cars instead of the playlist (at least from face-value)
At least it looks like they did.
they said they would update model for FH6 but unclear who would or who stays out
No more character customization and moronic emotes, and cringe side characters are given the boot
better yet a Spotify integration would be nice
i have bad news for you....

I should add that what I know about bikes couldn't fill the back of a postage stamp in 96pt font, but the screen looks like Suzuki GSX-R to me and as a whole it doesn't even remotely suggest a Ducati Panigale.
Show off☺️

Aye, it looks absolutely gorgeous and the scope for this setting is endless. Saying that I hope it’s not too heavy with drift events given the location and drifting being a big part of earlier Horizons, because I’m pretty bobbins at any drift challenges and tend to avoid at all costs unless it’s needed for progression.
And also seeing some people miffed at the car count at launch… 550 isn’t enough?? Jeez, I’ll barely drive a tenth of that at best for the entire game.
Also the music in game has no relevance to me whatsoever, the first thing I do is turn off any in game music no matter the genre as I tend to enjoy my own music over some obscure techno nerd who thinks Windows 11 is a musical instrument..

I hope they announce the equivalent of the Let's Go! Livestreams for FH6 soon
How long after FH5's reveal did they begin doing those? That might give us a general idea. I'm eagerly awaiting those since they'll be more in-depth than the glimpses we got yesterday. Oh, and also praying certain cars made the journey over from Mexico too.

I am half-expecting a Hololive collab, either as a Story or a special pack.

Something I wanted to point out really quickly;

FH5 had 21 New to Forza cars at launch (in the base game)

This is the current running list of New-to-Forza cars on the car list (13 total)

2023 Acura Integra A-Spec
2025 GR GT Prototype
2023 Honda Civic Type R
2022 Honda e
1994 Honda Acty
1991 Honda Beat
1984 Honda City E II
2022 Maserati MC20
2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition
1995 Mitsubishi Montero Exceed 2800 TD
2024 Nissan GT-R NISMO
2025 Toyota Land Cruiser
1997 Toyota Chaser 2.5 Tourer V

In the base game, we've already seen 13 New to Forza cars. 25 if you include the Italian Passion and Time Attack Car Pack cars.

I wonder how many New-to-Forza cars we'll actually get, (hopefully more than 21..) given there is a lot they won't port over from 5 - and the list is at 550.

Just pre ordered the premium edition for digital. Can’t wait for this game. Excited for the garages and the car meet up spot.

Fun fact about the Mazda RX-3: this will be the first Horizon game that it appears in at launch despite being in the series since 2013 (as part of a DLC in Horizon 1). It appeared super late in Horizon 4's life cycle during Series 36 less than half a year before Horizon 5's release just for it never to make the cut in said game.

It's been in every Motorsport game since 5 (albeit as DLC again in FM5). It's one of those cars that always leaves me scratching my head about why they put it in every Motorsport title just to ignore it in Horizon.

Pretty incredible, haven't really played FH5 at all in the last year, so Developer Direct completely slipped my mind. I felt an almost uncanny feeling seeing such an 'urban' landscape, while still very much looking like a Horizon game. Have some observations and nitpicks, hopefully I don't come across too negative but here goes.

The lighting still has the 'golden' hue to it that most Horizon games have, in some cases in the trailer and gameplay, it almost still looks like parts of FH5. Some of the flora and earth in the gameplay also didn't have quite have the immediate look or feel of Japan, there's a waterfall scene in particular that looked like it was made of assets from FH5. Obviously its not entirely fair to compare and open world game to a single track, but Fujimi Kaido nailed the aesthetic and feel, from the colours of the natural scenery to the colours of the road, it feels authentic. FH6 seems to still have the pale grey and sun drenched tarmac of FH5, particularly noticeable during the 'time attack' gameplay, and also in the car meet gameplay.

On Time Attack and Car Meets, both look fantastic. Using Daikoku is almost obvious, yet I hadn't even considered that they would, stoked to see it. The time attack gameplay on a clearly Ebisu inspired track was fun too, very smartly integrated as well, feels like a speed zone in a new outfit, but in a good way.

Car list dropping to 550 worries me slightly when thinking of the first year or so of post launch content. Can't help but feel we be receiving a large amount of returning cars for the first year at least. The Japanese additions are undeniably great though. Pretty incredible to see how the relationship with Toyota has developed since the drama of a few games ago.

The map looks fantastic, the additions of the Hakone Turnpike, and the 360 degree circular bridge are great. Both would look unrealistic and otherworldly in pretty much any other location in the world other than Japan. Tokyo will be interesting, it'll be tricky for them to portray the density, while still keeping the roads wide and gameplay friendly like Horizon maps have always been. In that main inner city gameplay clip of the NSX, you can see silhouettes of skyscrapers in the distance, which excites me. It's understated, but really adds to the feeling of scale. Surfers Paradise in FH3 had high rise buildings, but they were fairly sporadic throughout the city, which meant I always felt like you were at edge of the city no matter where you were, rather than in the depths of it.

Im both excited and hesitant for The Estate and Event Lab garages. The idea of having garages on display is something I've wanted for a long time, but personally of what we saw, I thought the obvious Event Lab props making up the garage looked a bit crap? Same as in FH5, the textures of the objects are all quite flat and bland, and the difference in quality is a little jarring when compared to the detail of the rest of the map. I understand technically why the Event Lab props aren't as great, and I think the idea is quite awesome, I just also hope we see houses that have their own beautiful settings curated for the game that aren't reused props.

Finally, a small touch, the HUD looks perfect. They've combined the typical Horizon aesthetic with Japanese graphic design very tastefully. The name is escaping me, but the font used for the speedometer, far more retro that what Horizon games have previously used, but fits perfectly with you see on a lot of Japanese broadcasts and video graphics.

Watching the event again, I noticed that the Toyota Chaser has different wheels.
I know this has happened with other cars in the franchise, but with cars that came like that originally. However, with this Chaser, I believe it could be a real customization of the car. The only thing that could mean otherwise would be if those wheels were part of a pre-made body kit for the car.

Would be cool to drive to Tsukuba and Fuji Soeedway. I feel FH Australia missed an opportunity to drive to a couple real permanent race circuits. If FH6 is saying it’s big, might as well fit in some real world circuits for some play.

Pretty cool that the majority of them are from quite small 'amateur' builders from here in Australia

The first one for FH5 was 14th June 2021. The game was revealed on 13th June. So, just 1 day.

Another random thought I had..

With Turn 10 now entirely being a support studio for PG/Forza Horizon, I wonder if we'll see any tangible different to the Post Launch updates, content added, features etc

Surely having them almost entirely focused on FH support would help but maybe with how much MS gutted the studio, it won't matter.

I knew I had seen that Time Attack Kei truck somewhere before. Yeah, it ain't fast.

That looks like a lot of fun 😁 I hope we start off with the stock 40hp engine in FH6 👍
But I think it will be interesting to see how it behaves with some engine modifications afterwards

Just replying to this, I should point out that YouTube videos are always in SDR.

FH5 was made to really pop properly in HDR. Without that high dynamic range, the graphics do indeed look a bit golden. But with HDR fully working on a good HDR screen it looks much better and more realistic.

I've been seeing people asking that question on social media like Reddit. Some are speculating that its due to some licensing issue with Subaru at the moment.

Though I hope that isn't the issue and its just more of PGG holding off showing them to us like with the other brands like Ford & VW as an example.
I, too, hope that it's not yet another issue with licensing, but Subaru's suspiciously absent from Motorfest (released in 2023) and Solar Crown (2024). It was in Forza Motorsport, but that's another beast entirely.

However, it's been widely speculated that Subaru and Ubisoft/Ivory Crew had some significant fall out before the launch of TC2 (which even led to the removal of the BRZ from TC1 via patch), and it would be quicker to list the manufacturers that aren't missing from the ******** that's TDU3.

Should the marque's absence be confirmed one way or the other, "Haven't Got A Scooby" could make another suitable pun title for an upcoming news article.

If Subaru do get left out I wonder which Mystery Mobile would replace them. We could start a new Fred with all our suggestions.
