Why are they showing this car with the roof on though rather than in all of its glory on a sunny day with the roof off?
I'm going to guess it's because it may be the only new-to-Forza car with a soft top, and they want to show off the new materials and rain effects? But I guess the only people who know the answer for that work for PGG.

I'd be far more interested to know if we can get a hard top for it, tbh.

All that's missing is the 2000 Honda Civic Si.

Dont you think its time that they expand the toggle convertible feature to more cars? I never understood why it was never fully implemented and only on so few cars.

What about the road car version of the Civic rally car we currently have?

I dont think its that hard to implement plus its rivals already do it. And most cars already have accurate interiors so I guess we will see. And the 992 GT3 RS already has that option so it may have been a tease and we could see it happening post launch.

I just hope they give this the convertible toggle and also expand the feature to other cars. Dont understand why they havent expanded this feature on existing cars since 2021 with the 918 Spyder but its long overdue for expansion.
Development resources most likely. They only introduced the feature in FH5 and only with new cars. It wasn't added to any existing models.
We may get it and we may not, but none of us here know the answers and it's better to wait for an official response.

There is probably more involved with allowing us to change the interior color than you think and just because other games did it, doesn't mean that Forza will, both TDU and The Crew have a lower car count than Forza.

I do know most car models in Forza have accurate interiors though.
So you do think that the convertible toggle will get expanded to more cars? The 918 and Portofino and Cinque were existing cars and got the feature.

The splattering of rain on the windows and paint looks really good.
Looks far better than FH4 and FH5 in that regard. As much as I still do love FH4, it saw a few steps down graphically compared to 2 and 3. The rain droplets on cars comes to mind, alongside the flaking in the paint of particularly flakey paint jobs. Don't know if that was a stylistic choice or what but I wasn't quite fond of it. I should probably get round to doing a comparison at some point so I can actually show what I'm talking about.

I digress, if the new metal flake paint is anything like what we used to have, I'll be using it on quite a few of my cars. I only wish they'd actually shown us what they looked like when they were talking about the new paint materials, but they only showed it on the spoiler piece!

What is your guess though?
If they’re older cars that were not scanned both top up and top down, then probably not. My guess is it will be only the returning cars we already have, and newly scanned cars going forward.

Do you think I am the only one that wants a expansion for the convertible toggle?

I can’t speak for anyone else but me. It would be nice, but I won’t be upset if we don’t get more.
I mean it was literally one of the big features for Forrza Horizon 5 and there is still many that dont have it so now may be the right time to expand it.
Thats why I am so dissapointed about this feature not because I hate it but because it felt like they added it for no reason. They need to stay true to their promise and implement the feature to more cars!

Okay very firstly i want to point out that i am not a mod or any forza higher up lol, i just am speaking via what iv'e searched and looked into and got. so please do not take this into any official confirmation..Thank you! :)

I went ahead and did my small research, and found all the files of cars/images(textures) that have been leaked out for (Possibly?? fh6) who knows, since FM23 isn't getting new vehicles added.

Now again...this is my personal statement do not take this as official in any means. The vehicles that are on these leaked files are (very select few of them) now officially announced to be part of the official car list/one of the cars from day-one at launch. if you take a look at the images of these files you can clearly see that the Subaru Vivo RX-R which.. was very recently announced to be a custom time attack built car in fh6. which confirms SUBARU as a brand now! and now since SUBARU is now a brand we can now look back at the files image and have a look at the other SUBARU related stuff there are such as the SUBARU WILDERNESS badge for a off-road type SUBARU? and then have a look at the image file that contains the aftermarket brand that goes by the name of ZERO/SPORTs. These guys have huge aftermarket support for basically SUBARU WRX's of kinds (you can search on google on you're own). then have a look at the texture image file that has a couple BMW logos.. there you see the 2025 BMW XM which.. has a RENEGADE DESIGN kit available for it irl, and in one of the other files we see that, the brand RENEGADE DESIGN is leaked which could hint at it being a possibility? again as i said above many times do not take all what i say official and do not expect all these to come to fh6. But my best guess is we've seen many files and stuff like this happen during fh4-fh5 lifespan so it's just more clear that it will carry over with fh6 and leaked cars in files will then come to fh6/?? eventually make it to the game or the next lol?

another thing to note is that: a couple cars that were found in these files were either already shown during the January dev_direct or were later added to the official fh6 car list after the dev_direct.

cars such as:
  • SUBARU VIVO RX-R
  • 2022 HONDA E
  • ALFA ROMEO GULIA GTAm
  • HONDA CITY E II

so my best bet is that.. these might..again might end up sometime in FORZA HORIZON 6's lifespan 🤷‍♂️

My man really wants his topless cars. Usually people want a topless, huh, something else.

If I had to guess? May have to do with licensing. Or even with technical/model issues. It could be something as silly as "yes, we have a removable hard top in Forzavista, but we added this feature late into development, and a lot of cars have a roll cage that would look stupid if we let you put the roof down".

There's no reason to believe the implementation of convertible vehicles may be better thought out this time around. Then again, so far we've no confirmation the feature will be present at all in the finished game, do we? I guess we'll find out on D1 for the Premium edition, or perhaps when the embargo breaks, whichever comes first.

It's worth noting that some vehicles (like the Jeep Gladiator) had roofs that were removable in the Autoshop, rather than through the Convertible function. It would certainly be a far less technically strenuous way to handle things, at least in cars with removable tops...
