Does anyone know when the early access start? For those who bought the premium edition.

My guess is May 15th.
They announced the date in January.

I bet on the 1st week of May, might on 4th/10th of May.

The 1st thing I will do it's to find other cars on files, we might found the 1st batch of Car Pass rides (Bet that the Gemera found in Archivements will be one of them)
I remember in Forza Horizon 4 where a Koenigsegg was in the Car Pass.

Forza Horizon 5 went on preload status by October 21, 2021, which was on a Thursday (15 days before early access) via XBOX/MS Store.

Forza Horizon 5 on Steam went on preload status by November 1, 2021, which was on a Monday (4 days before early access).

Forza Motorsport went on preload status by September 18, 2023, which was on a Monday (18 days before early access).

Forza Motorsport on Steam went on preload status by October 4, 2023, which was on a Wednesday (one day before early access).

Since we're 19 days left till early access, we might get preload for MS Store by this week if they follow the 15 day period with FH5 (Either on April 30 at earliest, or May the 4th).

What is preload and can anyone who preordered the game already play it by then?
Preload simply has the game's files downloaded into your console/PC, though, you won't be able to play till release day.

So, it looks like the starter cars are going to be:
the S13, the ST205 GT-Four and... the GMC K10 Jimmy, for some reason...
but it seems that just like in FH5, you'll be able to switch between any of the 3 at any chance given once the game properly starts. I don't hate it, but I don't like it either... I'd appreciate if it gave me the choice to choose which direction I want the early game to go, and then build from there, like FH2/FH3 did, but then again as soon as I get my hands on an NSX nothing really matters.

I wish; but I think the Suzuki Jimny would be amongst the slowest cars in its class; the GMC Jimmy, on the other hand, is a decent cross-road contender with a PI rating that shouldn't be too far off the other starter cars.

Of course, the same would apply to something more Japanese: the Pajero/Montero Evolution seems like a good candidate, but alas, PGG said "no"

It's mildly disappointing the starter cars are not E class ecoboxes and kei cars. PGG needed a bit more courage to lock people in actually slow cars.

Edit: Once again, despite being reminded just ten days ago, we have people posting embedded media entirely in non-English languages without providing any translation:
These posts both appear to be entirely in a language other than English.

If you're going to embed non-English media, please provide translations into English.
Followed by ignoring this reminder and making absolutely no effort to correct the issue with a simple copy/paste job from Google Translate.

As a general rule the staff are not fond of being ignored, so the relevant posts have gone missing (along with subsequent discussion; blame the people who can't be arsed to do the bare minimum after three reminders and two hours of opportunity) and future instances will be treated as deliberately ignoring the staff and acted upon appropriately.

Edit: You've got to be kidding me. TEN posts before someone ignored it again.

The Q&A with Torben is on right now, on the Forza discord. I might have missed a few but here are some of the bullet points:

  • Forzathon Live is now called Stunt Party. Starts top of the hour. Gives credits for completion. Priority is to have as many players together
  • Cars from (past) Festival Playlist will be available in other ways. No info yet.
  • Playground games not in the game at launch. They were not refreshed or changed, hence are being held back.
  • Festival Playlist is going to be available as soon as you join the festival. Roughly an hour to unlock it from the start.
  • No traffic or day/night modifiers for free roam. No car controls (headlights, windows etc.) planned for the game.
  • Spec racing leaderboard (that track wins and refresh weekly) is the only competitive mode for now. This feature and its feedback will be monitored closely.
  • A basic club system is on the cards in game. More features might get added later on.
  • '84 Honda City (not stock) is the Lvl1 car in the Eliminator.
  • Locations of the aftermarket cars are fixed. Not all are active at the same time. New spots can be added by the devs. And Festival Playlist cars might be cycled into the aftermarket car system.
  • Unique cars like Forza Editions will be very rare. The "drops" are level specific with rare spawns sprinkled it. It is unique to each players. Convoy leaders cars will apply to convoys (great way to buy cars that you want if your friend has it).
  • Convoy members take priority on the map (and mini map) over other players.
  • Legend Island has its own festival outpost, speed zone, speed trap, drift zone, 3 races, (one for each discipline), collectibles etc.
  • Goliath is the longest at 50+ mi. Starts on Legend Island.
  • Fog of war discovery system is their new system to make the map less overwhelming, and to encourage exploration.
  • Bikes are just decoration.
  • Most trees are destructible because verticality is the new limiter for driving everywhere,
  • Touge battles are mountain pass 1v1, and have their own aggressive AI. 5 battles at 5 routes. They have specific locked opponents who are parked near the start. Not part of the progression, and can be started any time in single player. There is a championship for online, which is unlimited 1v1 cycling though all the routes.
  • Map is designed first (taking priority over gameplay) with drivability and fun in mind. Then features are injected. FH6 had only two restrictions for map design: Estate and Legends Island.
  • There is one job in FH6: Rakuraku delivery. Each job has a score based on delivery + special request (do a drift/target time etc.) with random start and end points. This multiplies the credit reward. Might be the best way to grind credits. Can be done in co op.
  • Some old faces will return. Most of the cast is new. NO PAPA FERNANDO CONFIRMED.
  • VA for Gacha City radio is Aya Gomazuru (https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Aya-Gomazuru/)
  • Radio station details will drop before launch.
  • A version of Garage customizer existed with external part being customizable was cut due to performance reasons. However this is still possible in the estate.

But Playground Games events will return? Or are they gone forever now?

From the sounds of it, it is coming later. Of course they didn't confirm it specifically.
First thing that comes into mind is the Forzathon Shop and Seasonal Championship rewards (Why did FH5 not even have this in the first place?).
Not sure. It looked like the easiest band aid to the fomo problem. However I think they did start doing it closer to the end.
Is the convertible toggle getting expanded at least?
No questions or answers regarding that.

And what about the presence or absence of the auction house?

Strange that it isnt there at launch considering it has a dedicated playerbase. Hopefully Ranked returns too. What I can tell you right now is that I wont be playing online racing in the meantime because of rammers. I am not even a good racer and I have no plans to improve my skills in racing until they fix the ramming problem. That said I am a car guy and enjoy the physics which is why I do a lot of freeroam driving as well.
No questions or answers regarding that.
Hopefully we get a answer soon. I did see in some of the footage that the toggle is still there.
