Me too! Gosh, the 2012 Vanquish in that gorgeous baby blue like the one from the Top Gear West Coast road trip is easily a top 5 best looking car of all time, I want it back so bad

Tbh, since the X1 generation, new games have been launching with less and less current cars, with the latest ones always ending up as car pass, playlist or car pack additions.

My guess is this is because of the increased time it takes to model a car, especially with full Forzavista for it, but I really wish we got cars quicker like in the 360 generation.
I get this, but I'm also frustrated with how often they neglect older pre-1980s cars. There are about 70 in FH6, about half as many as models from 1980-1999 or 1990-2009, and for a game set in Japan it's weird to see maybe a dozen-at-most models from the '60s and '70s when that was a formative and exciting time for the industry. I don't doubt we'll get earlier franchise entries like the Subaru 360, first-gen Silvia, or Nissan R380 II sooner or later, but I'm not holding my breath for a Sunny B110, Daihatsu P-5, Isuzu Bellett, Dome Zero, Mazda 1300/Capella, Nissan S130 Z, Skyline C210, first-gen Honda Prelude, RA40 Celica, or 3rd-gen Cressida, just to mention a few of the models I've seen modders go out of their way to create for Assetto Corsa. But I should stop before this gets too wishlisty and pessimistic.

There are some models I'm wondering about in terms of licensing -- particularly Alpine, AMC, and Oldsmobile, none of which are represented in FH6 at all. (Which is a shame because that '66 Toronado they added as DLC to FH5 is a beaut.) But I'm more worried about the fact that we actually aren't getting the Porsche 914/6, which seems like a bizarre omission for any Forza title that has Porsche licensing from the get-go, especially since it's had full Forzavista modeling for a while. That's not to mention once-obligatory cars like the Buick GSX, Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, or the '73 Firebird Trans Am being surprising no-shows. That has me wondering what the situation is there: did PG/MS need to remodel or rework these cars in some way, since a lot of them debuted a few gens ago, or are these older cars just not popular enough to devote space and attention to anymore? I get it if they have to revamp some models for the new livery system or something (that 1980 Lotus Esprit Turbo was a total fiasco in that regard), and I understand if being a '70s-baby Hot Wheels-raised oldhead makes me biased in a way, but more than one generation deserves nostalgia here. Hopefully there are enough genuine car weirdos at PG to set things in motion once the playlists kick off, and I can finally get to dive a Pantera or a 280ZX down Wangan before long.

I think people are being a little paranoid and that a lot of these 'missing' cars will come back via the playlist or some other fashion.
Yeah, I'm just wondering why some cars (including very recently modeled ones) make the cut and some don't. Funny enough, I just looked up the '73 Trans Am to see how many games it had been in, and was reminded that it wasn't added to FH5 until Series 23.

Almost everything that was in a previous game and is not in this one will come back through Festival Playlist.

The last two games got 3+ years of returning cars this way.

Car Pass will be all new-to-Forza cars, as will the two Expansions. Paid DLC packs (beyond the ones we have now) will likely come every few months, after Car Pass expires.

Maybe this is my (relatively young) age showing, but I feel like a lot of 2000s-era cars get overlooked in games like this too these days. See Mk5 Golf, 1st gen Audi TT, 986 Boxster, LX Charger, etc. A lot of these cars are getting to be sort of "classics" of their own and carry a lot of nostalgia from mid-aughts video games too.

But again, I guess that could be said about several cars from several decades.

It's probably a bit special for this generation because this is about when racing games got really in-depth post-Gran Turismo, and by mid-'00s you had specialized games that introduced a lot of people to not only niche performance road cars and JDM, but international touring and race cars from Europe, Australia, and Japan. TOCA, Sports Car GT, Colin McRae, GTR2, Kaido Battle -- that's a whole encyclopedia of the era just in itself.

It’s diabolical that we still don’t have the Mk5 Golf and the Mk1 TT back in the franchise.

Since the X1 generation, we got 2 Mk7s, the Mk8, a Euro Mk1 and a Rallye Mk2, but still no Mk5 GTI/R32?

And we got three Mk3 TTs, but the Mk1 3.2 Quattro is still missing even though it’s been leaked as far back as FH4?

And speaking of the Mk3 TT, we went from having three in FH5 to none in FH6?..

At this point I’m certain that the vehicle list curator job has been outsourced to Copilot, with decisions this stupid.

I heard rumors that Maserati released several models of road car between 1960 and 1990, including many innovative and strikingly designed models like the 5000 GT, Mistral, Quattroporte, Sebring, Ghibli (coupe and spyder versions), Indy, Khamsin, Bora, Merak, and Kyalami, but after playing all these Forza games I'm still not sure if they actually existed.

All these millions of people travelling to New Zealand tomorrow, you do realise there's a limit to how much load the servers can take in this online only game, right?

I wouldn't be surprised if you find you can't actually get online for a short while.

I've decided to pre-order this, having sat out on FH5, I feel like I need a decent open world racing game again and having seen the way FH6 is changing progress and being less online FOMO focused it seems the right time to jump back in.
