My working conspiracy theory is that they're using the AI from FH5... which still wants to drive on the right hand side of the road... instead of the AI from FH4... which drove on the left hand side.

I also have a theory that every second game is going to be in a country that drives on the left. Since we've already had the UK, Australia and Japan, FH8 is clearly going to be set on Malta or Cyprus ;)
I think its Hong Kong or Indonesia or South Africa or Ireland or New Zealand. Although Forza Horizon 2 was set in a right hand traffic country. We will see I guess sometime late next decade.
I think that, so long as they don't absolutely lip-service the country's motor industry like they did with Mexico, there's one very obvious choice which also happens to have the largest left-hand driving population... in the world.

And it also boasts a car technically (as in the company says it is) designed by Kazunori Yamauchi...
India!

...India? I never would have thought that to be an interesting location for a game but I am, admittedly, extremely ignorant on what India brings to the table.

Even accounting for what Top Gear did there.

For no particular reason at all, I'd love a future game to take place in New York. What? I said for no particular reason...

So I encountered another Forza Edition car for sale.

As long as we get the Hindustan Ambassador.

And old Bedford J4/J5 trucks so we could turn them into this, I’d be okay with Horizon India.

Speaking of India, I wonder if the Tamo Racemo would come back at some point. It was actually a pretty decent car.

One car, or rather truck, that I never had in Horizon 5 was the Chevy K/10 Custom so last night I decided to buy it. I wanted it to be a "street" build but there wasn't any street or race suspension upgrades available - just rally. Upon realising this, I decided on a dirt build, adding chunky off-road tyres and dropping the supercharged LS engine from the C7 ZR-1 into it. I tuned it to the top of A class and to my surprise, it actually handled. I couldn't believe it. I didn't drive it for long but even in that short period, I was smitten. All I have to do now is race it.

MSZ
Yes that one. You need to get to the festival drag track as quick as possible and then go from there.

I went from the mountains to the highway and that got me to Tokyo very quickly.
What cars did you use?
I started an attempt last night, not knowing that it was that far and stopped after rolling for the 3rd time.
I was using my off-road Porsche 911 fully maxed out

Which edition of the game did you buy? I haven't run the Kaido yet but VIPs were gifted a specially off-road modified Dodge Viper GTS ACR Forza Edition which is apparently ideal for the job.

The Toyota Tacoma FE that VIPs get can 3 star almost everything (road and dirt) with an X-Class tune and off-road tyres.
