As long as your skill chains aren't being forcibly broken though major impacts, you should be able to finish this challenge in one tournament, or in one race if you're really good/lucky. I'm not 100% certain of this, but I think you might not even need to bank the skill(s) for it to count, just having it pop up in your skill chain might be good enough.
All I know is I unlocked the car two laps into my first race. And left mid race right after that :lol:
 
Quick PSA for those who are looking to unlock the S7 LM:

The challenge requires you to get 3 Ultimate Clean Racing Skills in Spec Racing, which you earn by not having any skill chains broken for an extended period of time. That does not mean that you have to avoid contact at all costs, nor does it mean that you need to have one continuous skill chain going. In fact, you can bank a bunch of smaller skill chains while racing and you'll still be good.

Edit: Thinking about it, if you just want to get the challenge done and don't care about results, you can probably just get away with letting everyone pass you at the start, waiting a bit, and then racing as normal in the bottom places.
I found this to be less painful than I anticipated, especially for in being in an online mode. Seems a lot of people were actively trying to not hit things and get the car for the challenge. I was pleasantly surprised with my experiences on both profiles. I wasn't rushing to get to the front and just kind of cruised along mid-pack. I managed to get 5 Ultimate Clean Racing skills in one race, so it is definitely doable in one race as long as the race is long enough.

The treasure chest on the other hand....that was a pain in the behind.....

Huh. I’m trying to do the weekly speed trap (160 mph in an A-class Japanese car), and my Acura RSX isn’t Japanese enough. It’s classified as American.

Yeah i had that with the Acura NSX at last week's danger sign at the ski jump!

When a playlist challenge requires a car of a specific nationality, I usually sort them by country in the change car screen so I don't use an ineligible vehicle.
 
Acura, Lexus and Infiniti have always been classified as American cars in Forza games.
I’ve obviously forgotten about that, but it’s still a head scratcher to me. I get that those brands were created to sell up-market Hondas, Toyota, and Nissans in the US, but they’re still Japanese brands.

I was sorting them by class since I figured I knew what a Japanese brand was.

My point was that you might know, but Horizon doesn't necessarily know. It's like when FH5 required a Mustang but the "Mustang" branded car I used didn't make the grade.

Okay, this is a real pain in the plonker:

It's on one of many ramps on the outside of the quayside buildings, but it's quite awkward to reach as the platform is either under- or over-shot easily.

But you can get it easily with a normal-ish car. Start here at the south-west corner of the quay, by a totally different building - and you're heading for the opening in centre-shot:

Now go inside, up the gentle ramp, then turn right - going around and up the building's east and south corners onto the platforms you can see directly above you in the first image:

Now spank it over the little and big ramp, but stop immediately on landing to go into the opening on the side of the building when you land. You can just see it ahead of the front-right of the car here:

Once inside, drive over this thing with great care as dipping a wheel into the gap fires you off to the moon. Turn right at the end and exit the building to the left onto the platform with the chest dead ahead:

Yikes, the Treasure Chest is a ballache this week!
Yeah, it was a tough one for me, too. Once I did finally locate it, I couldn’t smash it because another player was in the pause screen while parked right where it was. So I kept ghosting through it because I was ghosting through them. I finally had to switch to Solo so I could smash it.

I dislike that other players can interact with your destrucible world objects. Having to teleport away to come back to smash a mascot someone else just smashed in front of you grates my manbaps.
 
I finally have my beloved Starlet! Though I have to say, there are some odd modelling quirks. The one in-game lacks the smaller power mirrors that they came with as standard, and instead uses the larger manual ones that all base and European models came with. This isn’t necessarily a mistake, since you could option to delete power mirrors and windows (the latter of which the modelled car also has)… though there is still the button for adjusting the mirrors inside the car, so I’m a little confused.

Speaking of which, the interior in general seems to be quite lacking in detail. They’ve done a pretty good job replicating the dash textures/plastics in a lot of the other 90s Toyotas that have been added to the series recently, but here it seems really barebones and flat, almost like an early Xbox One model. Some parts such as the digital clock and the door handles are oddly coloured differently too, and the font on the gauges doesn’t seem quite right either. The exterior is spot on however, which is what makes it all the more baffling.

I realise as I type all this just how boring I can be when it comes to these cars, but when else am I going to have a chance to complain about something like this?

Notice Regarding Lost Save Issues in Forza Horizon 6​


Our team is investigating an issue impacting some Forza Horizon 6 players where game save progress may be lost or reset.

If you’ve been impacted by this issue, follow these steps as soon as possible:

  • Please immediately open a ticket on our Forza Support website. This will allow our team to investigate your case and attempt to recover your save profile by reverting your progress back to an earlier save. We highly advise that you submit your ticket the same day the issue occurs to increase the chances of recovery.
  • In the meantime, do not start new play sessions or create new saves until Forza Support has reviewed your case.
For all Forza Horizon 6 players, it is recommended that you follow these guidelines as a general "rule of thumb" to reduce the risk of progress or save loss:

  • Ensure your Gaming Services app on PC or XBOX Series X|S console is fully up to date.
  • On XBOX Series X|S consoles, disable Quick Resume for Forza Horizon 6.
    • To disable Forza Horizon 6 from using Quick Resume, highlight the game box art anywhere in the console experience (Home, My Games & Apps, Pins, etc) and then press the Menu button, then go to Manage game and add-ons > Quick Resume settings > Disable Quick Resume.
  • Ensure you are online when ‘quitting’ the game.
  • Give your save time to sync to the cloud before powering off or switching devices.
  • Do not force quit the game during save screens.
  • Do not power off the device during gameplay.
Players who regularly switch between devices, whether it's from one console to another, or between different PCs, Steam and Cloud Gaming, should take additional care.

  • Always "Quit" (console) or "Exit to desktop" (PC) once you've finished your play session, ensuring the save icon is not visible when you’re closing the game.
  • Before turning off your console, shutting down your PC or force closing the Steam app, give your devices or clients at least a few minutes to ensure your latest progress has been synchronized with the cloud. This will reduce the risk of progress reversions as you switch between different platforms. XBOX Series X|S consoles, Steam and the XBOX app on PC all include game save indicators that confirm your progress has been synced.

The docks seemed to be filled with hordes of people searching for treasure. Luckily I didn't need @Famine's help this time and found it as simple as falling off a log, or rather a warehouse.

There were loads of people falling off the top, many right in front of me but it seemed quite literally hit and miss :lol:
