I was up late last night doing Rivals and woke up at eleven. Just enough time to sling some cold meats, smoky cheese and 'nduja down my neck before watching the new Spider-Man movie.
The potato gratin took over 2 hours to make, but it took just 3 mins to cook the beef.
The absolute key is to cook the beef in individual portions - I cooked Mum's first before cleaning the pan and doing my lot, and turning every piece individually so both sides of each strip are cooked to the exact same time 😅
Lunch was homemade burgers. The patty is from Sam's Club store brand and it's good: moist and with the right amount of fat. I'm a believer of putting the lettuce and tomato below the patty, and I also like a spread of mayo on the bottom bun, with mustard on the top bun. I had a glass of Tecate beer and some potato chips.
Edit: That's not a fried egg, is a mix of melted cheeses: Cheddar and Monterey Jack.
