The Audi R8 GT has no aero options apart from Forza (was hoping for something like the Abt GTX parts) but engine swaps wise has

a) 480kw 5.2L V10 from the Audi R8 LMS.
b) 404kw 5.2L V10. Cant find it in the autoshow but I'm guessing its the first gen Audi R8 V10 Plus
c) Racing V12 engine

Got The Trial and Hide & Seek done and actually won first try on both. The Trial was actually fun (had a good team), and being the lonely Hider was kinda stressful.

I was finally able to finish the Weekly Playlist (except the dailies. Kinda annoyed they removed something so useful.)

The Touge was fine. I used the tune @UKMikey suggested and lined up against a Shelby Daytona. When the flag fell, they didn’t even move, and then quit. I’d like to think it was because they took one look at my mighty Fox-body Mustang and were so intimidated, they quit in terror. Yeah, probably not.

The Trial was a pain. It took three tries before I had a team that actually worked like a team. That’s my biggest complaint about the Trial. It’s such a huge time sink if you’re saddled with weak-ego children who can’t let anyone pass them because then everyone will know how small they are.

Maybe the car thinks it's a Ruf

Dad jokes aside, I discovered yesterday that the Corvette E-Ray essentially loses the front motor when you swap the 5.5L Z06 engine into it. The 670 HP number comes purely from the combustion engine, whereas the E-Ray number comes from the combined output of the front electric motor (160 HP) and the 6.2L combustion engine (495 HP). The game SHOULD therefore give the E-Ray a total output of 830 HP - not 670. The crazy thing is that the car REMAINS 4WD after the swap, which says to me that a traditional 4WD system has been swapped into the car. That is incorrect. The Forza devs obviously haven't found a way to isolate the two motors, which goes someway to explaining why the CR-V Hybrid in GT7 can't get an engine swap.

Won the trial first try. There were only 3 of us which kinda makes it easier I guess.

Anyway, great fun. B is probably my favorite class.

Anyone issues with the 1/2 Mile Ito Drag Race? I completed it about 5 times in my Porsche 944 and it just doesnt count. I can see no other restrictions than 80's car in B Class and it tuned it to B600 with drag tires. i am comfortably in the 19 seconds, so well below the goal of 21

Did some online last night, the AI in eventlab events is still totally borked, and it's a shame. We do the Goliath as an enduro and you'll find in the first lap 12th being in 4th but still showing as 12th, and weird stuff like that. Really hope they patch it soon.

Was a bit disappointed in the seasonals too. 80's hot hatch - okay so, the Civic and Mk1 Golf? That's it? It's annoying, when a lot of the models in the game technically should be eligible (Mk2 Golf for one) but because the model year in game is like, 1992, you can't. (I know, that's a thing with racing games since the beginning of time.)

And then to have a race pretty much only including the E30, with it's glitched bumper, drawing massive attention to it, is a bit weird.

Love the game but god it doesn't half have some eccentricities.

Anyway. R8 is kinda cool, but we didn't really need to pay for another one. (I swear, I woke up on the right side of the bed  )

Our choices for the seasonal challenges - Volvo is mine.

And looking forward to getting my hands on this - even if the lift oversteer in that rivals event was god awful.

And regarding the Rallye... yeah, pretty funny about the distribution. Those early Syncros only send power to the back when they detect slip in the front, a bit agriculturally. Maybe 4% was their way of replicating it
