The Audi R8 GT has no aero options apart from Forza (was hoping for something like the Abt GTX parts) but engine swaps wise has

a) 480kw 5.2L V10 from the Audi R8 LMS.
b) 404kw 5.2L V10. Cant find it in the autoshow but I'm guessing its the first gen Audi R8 V10 Plus
c) Racing V12 engine

I was finally able to finish the Weekly Playlist (except the dailies. Kinda annoyed they removed something so useful.)

The Touge was fine. I used the tune @UKMikey suggested and lined up against a Shelby Daytona. When the flag fell, they didn’t even move, and then quit. I’d like to think it was because they took one look at my mighty Fox-body Mustang and were so intimidated, they quit in terror. Yeah, probably not.

The Trial was a pain. It took three tries before I had a team that actually worked like a team. That’s my biggest complaint about the Trial. It’s such a huge time sink if you’re saddled with weak-ego children who can’t let anyone pass them because then everyone will know how small they are.

Maybe the car thinks it's a Ruf

Dad jokes aside, I discovered yesterday that the Corvette E-Ray essentially loses the front motor when you swap the 5.5L Z06 engine into it. The 670 HP number comes purely from the combustion engine, whereas the E-Ray number comes from the combined output of the front electric motor (160 HP) and the 6.2L combustion engine (495 HP). The game SHOULD therefore give the E-Ray a total output of 830 HP - not 670. The crazy thing is that the car REMAINS 4WD after the swap, which says to me that a traditional 4WD system has been swapped into the car. That is incorrect. The Forza devs obviously haven't found a way to isolate the two motors, which goes someway to explaining why the CR-V Hybrid in GT7 can't get an engine swap.

Anyone issues with the 1/2 Mile Ito Drag Race? I completed it about 5 times in my Porsche 944 and it just doesnt count. I can see no other restrictions than 80's car in B Class and it tuned it to B600 with drag tires. i am comfortably in the 19 seconds, so well below the goal of 21

Did some online last night, the AI in eventlab events is still totally borked, and it's a shame. We do the Goliath as an enduro and you'll find in the first lap 12th being in 4th but still showing as 12th, and weird stuff like that. Really hope they patch it soon.

Was a bit disappointed in the seasonals too. 80's hot hatch - okay so, the Civic and Mk1 Golf? That's it? It's annoying, when a lot of the models in the game technically should be eligible (Mk2 Golf for one) but because the model year in game is like, 1992, you can't. (I know, that's a thing with racing games since the beginning of time.)

And then to have a race pretty much only including the E30, with it's glitched bumper, drawing massive attention to it, is a bit weird.

Love the game but god it doesn't half have some eccentricities.

Anyway. R8 is kinda cool, but we didn't really need to pay for another one. (I swear, I woke up on the right side of the bed  )

Our choices for the seasonal challenges - Volvo is mine.

And looking forward to getting my hands on this - even if the lift oversteer in that rivals event was god awful.

And regarding the Rallye... yeah, pretty funny about the distribution. Those early Syncros only send power to the back when they detect slip in the front, a bit agriculturally. Maybe 4% was their way of replicating it

Having to use a D-class Civic or Golf to complete that highways race was an absolute chore, why would they not pick some races that suit the cars? Hot hatches aren't designed for high speed cruising, they're meant to be fun and agile. There are so many tight and twisty streets in Tokyo, but they picked 3 events that are primarily made up of wide open high speed roads. Mind boggling.

Attempt two was much more successful even though I was placed at the back both times. Needless to say I'm going to check out that Volvo when I get a chance.

I used DJS's tune of the Delta S4 and was 6 secs quicker than that Volvo time, so I wouldn't say that time shows the Volvo to be anything special.

I figure at least some of the other Deltas I raced were using that tune or similar, so either they're really bad at driving or it didn't suit everybody. I'll stick with the Manta until I get beat too many times.

I've just lost four head-to-heads in a row in The Eliminator but failed to get the Take On Me daily challenge to pop.

Do they want to you to win before it gets marked as completed? In that case I'm out before I've even started.

[EDIT] Whoops, it's not active for another three quarters of an hour. I did all those Eliminators for nothing. 😭

AE86 FE completely stock. Got the drag race done in my first try.

It's the trial that's giving me troubles now. Gotta play around some tunes later on.

I play the Eliminator like a rabbit (wabbit.) I just poke around, find a nice hiding place, and hold until the sweet 16 round.

No issues my side, I completed it in my BMW M1

Yeah I was aswell I made mine and took it to the time attack circuit and was met with a heap of fwd understeer so had to tune the diff to make it actually 4wd.
AWD and 4WD are not the same thing though. The Rallye Golf is AWD as it does not have a transfer case where you can switch to 2WD like in a Jeep Wrangler. AWD is electronic while 4WD is mechanical.

I tested out the Delta tune for giggles and managed to beat my Manta time at Sunflower Scramble but it wasn't easy. The Lancia is easier to control but the Opel is faster.

The Rallye Golf It's a welcome add in Horizon Series, with a good tune Is a nicely Weapon for B-Class races, Glad they put this niche German homologation Special in a videogame.
And the 964... I Just love the design of that 911 Generation. It's a bit tricky to drive without assist on techicnal corners and circuits, but finaly She Is in Horizon Series.

I'm Look 4ward the SRT10 RAM 👀

You have to complete a head-to-head for the challenge.
Can confirm that you actually have to win the head-to-head for the point. I knocked out two poor dudes and was 600 yards from the finish line when I finally got Take On Me to pop after Hunting High And Low for about a dozen Elims.

Makes me want to batter The Living Daylights out of whoever suggested this challenge. Am I Touchy about it? Maybe, Maybe.
Painted some more wagons.
Even you're getting in on the pun thing. While your liveries are spectacular I spent most of that Eliminator talking to the trees at close quarters as I heaved my puny City up endless forest coated slopes.
