Yeah, I'm... a bit baffled by the Patrol going in Offroad, since the FJ40, the Patrol's counterpart, went in Pickups and 4x4s. Either their criteria is getting stricter or they have good reason for separating the two.

Apparently the Patrol was used by Japanese fire departments, so maybe that's why it's in there, it being used for work rather than play, but still!

Sorry to hear this. How are you doing for disk space? I think I've had one crash the whole time I've been playing FH6. (Game crash, not car crash. I've had plenty of those.)
I think I’m okay, but worryingly, I just had another freeze/crash.

That sounds like your console, not the game. How are the temps?
No problems with the console temps, and in fact we’ve been having an unseasonably cool summer here in the Pacific NW (sorry rest of the world), so that’s not a contributing factor.

Edit: And now a complete hard crash of the console. I’m just going to shut it off for a few hours, see if it improves later.

Is it under warranty? I would consider sending it back to Microsoft. In the past they did good with that darned ring of death business.

Early on when the game first came out, I'd experience 4-5 crashes per day. Sometimes to the Xbox home screen, sometimes a hard crash that powers off the system.

Here recently since the updates, twice. It seems like it has gotten better on my end, but having said that, the sessions I've played in the last month weren't always as long as when the game first came out.

I feel sorry for you guys. I wonder why it doesn't happen to more people. I'm not sure whether it's a contributing factor in your particular cases, but I hardly ever use quick resume unless the doorbell rings in a middle of a race and always quit the game when I'm finished for the day.

Just in case anyone didn’t know, the
prices for the aftermarket wheel spin exclusive cars are:

F8 Tributo 333,000
288 GTO 2,800,000
599XX E 3,200,000
Sesto Elemento 2,500,00
2012 Aventador 345,000
Diablo GTR 680,000

I’m guessing they will be discounted 25% but I guess we will find out. I’m very surprised they didn’t include the 512TR so maybe it will be a reward car for The Trial or something.

I never use quick resume for the simple fact it's known to cause issues. Whenever I'm done playing, I always make sure to return to the garage to manually trigger the autosave, then close it off after the game has saved.

I thought at first it may have been related to the console overheating, so I did the routine cleaning of the inside, but no dice. Every other game has no issues, except for that one time in Motorsport a while ago.

After hearing so many people who have issues with the game saying their other games don't crash I'm now beginning to suspect it's issues with the stability of the code or its server infrastructure.

It's beginning to bring back memories of how Forza Horizon 5 used to freeze up in the old days until they patched it. Hopefully this time around it's only a temporary issue and isn't anything to do with Microsoft's reported ruthless cost-cutting and hire-and-fire practices.

That's what I've deduced from my experiences thus far. The crashes seemingly not being as frequent ever since last month's patch leads me to speculate the issue was within the game itself.

It's very much like what FH5 was in its early days. Hopefully that is the case and it's something that can be fixed up with a patch. The worst case scenario would be the game pushing beyond the limits of what the console can handle.

Wooo the Pantera is finally free from it's motorsport 2023 shackles and is deservedly coming to FH6 😀.

I got a second Saleen S7 after getting 40 pts of this week's playlist, and seeing the prices in the AH now, I got myself a 10-20 M trust fund!
I managed to sell my duplicate Exige Cup 430 today for 20 million, however unfortunately when I tried to sell my duplicate schuppan and Saleen S7 I didn't nowhere 20 million lol 😅. But I do hope you get the money you're looking for :)).

So far, my attempts at making a livery that works for the F80 have not worked out to my liking. This is not going to be easy, the style of the car itself I find clashes with the look you're trying to go for.

Finally... now we can get the cake badge.

So, I guess now you can have your cake and eat it too, heh...😁

Sorry, I'll see myself out 😂

In other news, I finally got the 190E FE from a wheel spin the other day. I tested it on the Bandai Azuma togue and it drives like a dream! With the standard 5-speed gearbox the ratios are a bit long, but luckily you can fit a 6-10-speed racing gearbox and still keep it in A-class.

If you ain't first, you're last, Keiko Tamaguchi 😎

I haven't had any issues running the game on Series X (performance mode). Then again, it's heat dissipation is superior to that of the Series S.

I still want a kill switch for the traffic, which I reckon would only be feasible in offline mode. There are times I just want to blast at 200 mph in the highway but can't do because of the dense zombie-like traffic. They move at the same speed as far as I can tell and have the survival instincts of a lemming. I remember when the main traffic complaint in FH% was how sparse it was... I miss those days now.

I've had the game stuck on a loading loop after online races once or twice, but aside from that no major issues. I do tend to lose the wifi signal relatively frequently, but that's down to my ISP more than anything else.

I painted mine black, which does a "decent" job at hiding the ugliness. It's now going to collect virtual dust in my garage until the end of time.

The 275 GTB however.... ^^

cue the Ferrari scene from Ferris Bueller's Day Off while this music plays

Don't know if anyone has said anything, but you can no longer get skill points in Eventlab races. They probably disabled it because of all the skill farms.
Did they say anything about this? Leveling up my cars by playing my custom routes is basically the main thing I do in FH6... No farming but just playing the game...

That's why I said it's not everyone's priority. "many" =/= "all".No, because I don't swap and upgrade parts. I just download a suitable tuning setup from somebody else who can do it a lot better than I can, like I do with the liveries. Maybe I'm too busy listening to the music instead. I had to switch the mix to soundbar so the engine noise didn't drown out the soundtrack. Ironically, the lyrics to one of the songs seem to be complaining about issues with the audio mix.

I just wish the car notes were louder. They sound far away as you drive. It's really noticeable on an amp/speaker setup.

I finally turned it off yesterday. I put up with hearing the same DnB loop during races in certain sections so far, and even listened to the radio outside races the first week. But I swear they've made the festival 'background' music louder during races now or changed the tune or something. (But I don't mind menu music in racing games like GT or Project Cars.)
Don't you feel they need to boost the car volume? The cars have fantastic reverb effects, but why do they seem quiet and muted overall? I mean do they not do any testing before release?

I enjoyed The Trial this time round, it turns out if you tune your car to get ahead of the pack before the first corner you can basically run away with victory every time. This happened in both races.

It's likely part of the 'fixes have been applied to numerous exploits' part of the update: https://forza.net/news/forza-horizon-6-series-3#releasenotes

Fixes have been applied to numerous exploits, including XP and credit farming using Auto Drive while AFK, Skill Points farming from Estates, and making yourself un-challengeable in The Eliminator by disabling head-to-head races.

One things that isnt really mention by people but the economy in this game is kinda **** up. Sure at first you get tons of money, but once you have complete the game, money become sparse. So far, I played since day one and I made 36 million having complete all but 4 events on the maps (all 2 stars, the long trial, 2 drift zone and the delivery thing). The pricest car is more than 60 million. How are we even suppose to buy that ? Especially with them banning every method to get good reward.

Quite puzzled by that. Also rival is fun but they gotta do a better job with the interface. It's so ****ing long to check up the leaderboard, then go to your garage, search a tune, apply it, go out of your garage and port to the place you want to race. And you have to repeat that each time. How is that even possible in the 6th game of the franchise. Why is that I dont have access to the events from my garage, why do I have to go out to see the leaderboard... So stupid if you ask me.

I also have memory of Ghost updating themselves as you beat them in previous forza game. Why isnt that feature here ? Why are they making me waste so much time going out, doing a lap from scratch again, etc.. I dont get it really. Everything in this game seems to be made to waste your time. Same for the menu, they have super long transition.
