I tried to join a convoy yesterday. I was invited, but it kept giving me a connection error on XSX due to Crossplay because the person who had the exclusive Wheelspin cars was playing on PC. šŸ˜ž
 
Since i didnt play FH5 and didn't know what the trial was, i was a bit afraid of doing it after reading some of your stories here. But either it's gotten a lot better in fh6 or i am really lucky, for every Festival i managed to find a team well enough to beat the trial in the frist try
 
I think the italian dealership was a good idea,in principle,but its very poorly implemented.Adding autoshow cars at a small discount isnt how I thought it would be.If I want a specific car from the autoshow, I check the ah first but discount or no discount isnt going to affect my purchase decision.Ive yet to see a wheelspin car and I cant be bothered restarting the game over and over to try and get one to drop.Maybe they will change on thursday and reward us with a few exclusives.

Trials could be really hard in 5, but they are trivial in 6.
 
What I really like about the Italian Exotics Dealership is that it genuinely serves as a community hub. Just hanging out there is fun, and there's almost always a crowd. People are constantly showing up, checking out cars, and chatting.

I think the car meets were supposed to fill that role, but for me they've ultimately missed the mark.

BTW, I also think moving the main drag strip away from the festival area was a mistake. The FH5 drag strip, which was right next to the main festival hub, always felt much more populated and alive.
 
@Jezza14 Yes, I tried Discord and it kept telling me this with a problem connecting to Crossplay. Thank you very much for the help, but I've already given up and will wait until the end of the month to see if I get an exclusive car. šŸ‘

Do you have cross-play disabled on your settings? Might be worth checking that as I canā€™t otherwise see why it wouldnā€™t work. Otherwise, fingers crossed you can get one or more. The prices are tanking at the AH anyway, so might be able to pick a bargain up there if not.

It's not what I hoped for, but frankly what I expected it to be, which is a shame because it's an idea that had promise.
 
Did you notice a change in the skill points since the latest update?
I can't get more than one, even if I have a rating of 100k+ x 5.0 or x 10.0 with a skill song.
Not sure if this is a bug. I play on XBOX Series X but will also try it on PC later.

Edit: same on PC for me

Yeah, me too. I went to the EventLab for the skill point farm race and it still, as of writing of this reply: My skill point is still stuck at 164 skill points after I made 500K+ x 5.0 skill points.
Tested on PC

Not in general, I just got 10 skill points from drifting around the map, but they have nerfed some specific locations, e.g. your estate.
 
Same batch of cars as yesterday when I saw the F40C, in the exact same spots.

Free roam is untouched. Event lab races are limited to one skill point. Really unsatisfying seeying your skill streaks just disappear.
What is the point of even upgrading the skill tree of your car if it is limited to one point anyway. This really F*s with the fun that I can have in the game.
 
For anyone still trying to get the 288 GTO, 599XXE or Sesto, I've had good luck getting into a convoy with all three just by searching for a car meet convoy. In the pause menu press Y, Find convoy then Car Meet. Some others have worked such as cruising and drift. I'm not sure if this will work with crossplay disabled. The crossplay setting is in the online safety in Xbox settings, kinda buried and not really intuitive to find.

You can also get a spare Miata FE from the festival drag strip and RX3 FE from Daikoku with some luck.
 
The safest way I've found to restart the game on XSX is to change video settings from performance to quality or vice versa. It requires a restart to go into effect. My game has restarted quickly each time. It works to change/save the setting once and select Restart Later, then change it back to your preference and it will restart without actually changing.

Otherwise I've had problems with just a simple restart. Hope this helps if anyone is still trying it.

This is strange if indeed that's how you're meant to do it--definitely points to this either being a bug resolved by being in a convoy, or chances being naturally higher if you're in one.

If I'm picking up what you're putting down...

I saw mention of convoys above so I didn't explain it well. When you are in a convoy everyone inherits the leader's aftermarket cars. So if your leader has the 288/Evo/Sesto combination at the dealership you get them too. I believe this is intended behavior by the game. It seems like it. If you are out in freeroam with friends it makes sense to me that everyone should see the same thing.

What I found worked reliably was to be outside of one of the houses and join the convoy.
Then fast travel to the aftermarket cars.
Buy the car/cars you want.
Fast travel to alternate locations if you want one of the FEs, not guaranteed.
Leave the convoy
Fast travel back to the house

If you rejoin the convoy with the same leader the same cars are restocked for purchase so people are rinse and repeating. This is why the auction house is flooded.

People that are getting these cars are choosing to start convoys and helping others that can't get them to spawn. šŸ‘

Also, saw Stevio hanging out in one of them.

It's a pretty good tactic, but probably best to still shut down the game & restart after a while of hopping. You'll quickly see the same names joining & leaving as you stay in the area, and since people are constantly being promoted to convoy leader as people leave, you'll end up going in a circle of seeing the same cars.
 
Hi everyone. I tried it yesterday. I finally got a convoy invite via Discord šŸ¹#F8. But unfortunately there were no exclusive cars. šŸ˜ž I tried teleporting and restarting the game several times. For now I'll just let it run its course and wait for some lucky Wheelspin.šŸ€šŸ‘

This is how I've been doing it but I still haven't seen a single wheelspin car. The spawn rate for them must be miniscule.

Itā€™s also plausible that theyā€™ve set a limit to how many can be available at any time, so the number of convoys may be impacting others getting them. Donā€™t know how likely that is but as thereā€™s no visibility on the process, itā€™s all speculative.
