Man that's baffling. Really does smell like they were forced to pivot that car model away from the SS for censorship reasons.

I'd add Alpine to the list as well. I do wonder if we'll see any of them being added, hopefully so.Basically, Bugatti, Daihatsu and Suzuki are the most important brands yet to be featured in FH6 thus far.
And speaking of post-launch content, we gained around 71 known cars so far (from 534 cars to 605) - not including any Forza editions or promotional cars. The Car Pass is expected to be complete by December 10th.
Would be interesting to see how many cars we actually end up with in time for the game's first year anniversary next year, or in the shorter term, when the game releases on PS5.
However, fully eliminating all FOMO mechanics (making all Festival Playlist cars available in the Autoshow after a series) should be in Playground's priority list.
I reckon itās a little future proofing, the newer ZL1 will replace the older ZL1 in a future Forza title, it also has extra desirability too.Shove off, they didn't. D:

I'd like to point out that the 2022 Audi TT being added to FH5 likely would have been the same way--a post-facelift version of a car replacing its pre-facelift model--only it didn't even make the jump to FH6, despite FH5 having basically all of Audi's performance lineup by the time it ended.I reckon itās a little future proofing, the newer ZL1 will replace the older ZL1 in a future Forza title, it also has extra desirability too.
The last of the 6th Gen Camaroās rolled off the production line in January 2024 which this new ZL1 is a 24ā model.
So while it might seem like a miss, itās actually an upgrade in terms of rarity IRL.
I don't know why they lost alpine, because the crew motorfest? They just add alpine when forza lost itI'd add Alpine to the list as well. I do wonder if we'll see any of them being added, hopefully so.
Also, I feel like not featuring Tommykaira is a missed opportunity. It'd only be appropriate to give a local tuner a nod with the game being set in Japan.
I believe @pclark06 theorized that this is for an engine swap of some kind, likely for the Starion. Glad he was correct!Customization-wise, there is no customization for any of the new Car Pass cars. Though, the 1999 Lancer Evo VI GSR's audio files return oddly.
Thanks for the Tip but it is not about the farming for me. I mostly play my own custom routes/circuits and I get rewarded with one skillpoint after a point to point race of 9 minutes..Go to play challenges under creative hub to farm skill points. They still haven't patched that one in this update.
I'm really beginning to question just what on Earth is happening here. No customisation for a Japanese car (DR30) that at the very least should have the aero appendages for the top of the fender and beside the rear window, since they're period correct and they give us nothing?Customization-wise, there is no customization for any of the new Car Pass cars. It came out at least 6 years before the Muscle Car era even began... in theory it should be in Classic Sports Cars with the C1 Corvette because it was its main competition in period, but in reality it was a softly sprung cruiser that couldn't match the Vette once GM put the V8 in it, so Rods and Custom fits perfectly I think.1957 Ford Thunderbird: D 332 Rods and Customs. Rods and Customs is a very underused category, in both Festival Playlists and the Festival Event mechanic in general, so I'm surprised it didn't end up in Classic Muscle. I'm guessing it's so it can appear in events alongside its fellow 1950s car icon, the Bel-Air, but if so, this basically relegates it to disappointing irrelevance, even if it's basically now top-tier in D-class Rods and Customs.
Considering they normally omit the badging/nameplate in those cases, I doubt it was the main reason, but it could've possibly been a factor.I also wonder if they chose the ZL1 for SS censorship reasons; as unique as the SS looks to be, it's still something Horizon has historically censored.
I think itās more of a āLetās add the highest performance trim instead of the lower trims cause people want that moreā type mindset that was already running for years.I also wonder if they chose the ZL1 for SS censorship reasons; as unique as the SS looks to be, it's still something Horizon has historically censored.
I watched the video, and even though I disagree with Nick glazing the inclusion of the 2024 Camaro ZL1 (it's a bit of a pointless addition, I feel), I do agree with him that the Car Pass should consist of only new-to-Forza cars. The Ford Thunderbird and the Porsche 961 should either have been added directly to the Autoshow or be Festival Playlist unlockable cars.Sometimes I wonder why I'm still subbed to Nick...
Remember the game series you're playing. It's been a fifteen year and two generation absense. I'd be amazed if it's the same 3D model, so it doesn't feel too bad to me.
When they announced the closure of the official forum, the lack of communication is what people feared would happen.I suppose we`ve always got twitter though.....The excitement phase kind of ended with me already on the update. The Car Pass cars are the only thing shining in this update. But for a game that had an amazing launch, a lot of promise to the community, and looked like it had a bright future, they kind of just blew it with these previous updates.
The 2nd series I figured was a filler series because they were probably using that series to work on bugs and such. Series 3 had promise, and the fact we could find wheelspin cars (if we spent our time restarting our game over and over) was cool. The Temerario was a huge surprise for me (I was not expecting it to be added so soon, nor for it to be free). But this series, for casual players who just own the game, no dlc, this is such a nothing series. And by the response i see from people voicing their opinions, it is just negative as well.
And it is honestly infuriating that there is radio silence. All the negative reviews on steam get this same copy and paste response. I really want to be excited for the updates, but they are making it tough to look forward to the future of this game.
And for a live service game, they really are not doing a whole lot to retain players with these updates either. I really hate being negative, especially for the game I was the most excited about this year, but they just don't do anything to let the community know they are seeing the complaints and are doing something about it. It is all radio silence, and does not make me have high hopes for the rest of the future of this game.
Tried it for free on dey Gamepass for a full two weeks. Absolutely loved it, probably the best one they've made. Physics and car audio improvements alone made it feel more in-depth than any previous Horizon game.I'm still having fun with the game, with more than 200 hours logged even though I've long since beaten/three-starred every singleplayer challenge. It's no huge leap forward, but it's still unmatched in my book as far as its sweet spot of wide-ranging car selection and credible-yet-fun physics and handling goes. But I'm bewildered and annoyed and also a little concerned with how much the "FH6 is a crushing disappointment" narrative has taken hold online, especially on social media. There are a lot of common talking points: the story/characters/festival are bland, the customization is insufficient, online play is no fun because of all the meta car abuse, the rendition of Japanese culture isn't "realistic" enough, it's not enough like Forza Horizon 1, etc. etc. Normally I'd be able to brush it off, but since MS is in downsizing mode and Forza Motorsport is dead, I'm starting to wonder if there's some sort of moment where the bottom will drop out, all the casuals will migrate to GTA6 in a few months, and franchise fatigue will bring down a perfectly good game. I get being jaded; FH6 is more of a culmination than a revolution, and I've played other games that have a lot more character (TXR, Screamer) or customization (CarX series) or breadth (modded AC, which is in its own weird class). But whether it's physics or graphics or gameplay loop or just vibe, none of those scratch the same itch, so I'm wondering what the big deal is about all this performative boredom I see all the time on YouTube and Reddit.
Yes, and this time around, they have been working on updating models. I'd be surprised if at the very least it doesn't get new lighting/badge/interior meshes.Remember the game series you're playing.
