It's always a good idea to get good/practice at drifting, or at least give it a go.

Not because drifting is cool or anything like that - but ability to drift can help you race faster. Grip racing won't help you drift better, but drifting can help you grip race quicker.

More times being able to control a slide has got me the lead in tight corners.

I think it's possible to know enough about drifting to be able to control a slide round a corner in a race and still think having more drift events in the game is a complete sack-sucker.

Knowing how to do long division by hand is a useful life skill but I wouldn't want to do it competitively.

The gatekeeping "real" drifters seem to look down on anyone who uses AWD drivetrains anyway because it's easy and straightfoward by comparison and will complain about these drift attack courses not being judged by angle and proximity to zone markers like NFS ProStreet.

Speaking of which, maybe series 6 (October), and this is a wild prediction, would be related to car meets near konbinis, which means kei cars, vans and other unique JDM machines.

Yeah, something that could be similar to the Cars and Coffee update in FH5, for sure.

Not to mention that a lot of the new-to-Horizon cars first appeared (at least in post-Horizon terms) in FM2023, when it was already clear the game was running on empty. I think I did like a lap of Fujimi Kaido in the Pantera, and that was it.

In future I bet all the FM2023 exclusive cars will jump in FH6. One of them it's 90% coming in next update, the Lotus Evora GT430, and speaking of JDM cars in Kombini, another FM2023 car atm it's not in game, and that's the Toyota Mark II Tourer V JZX100 1997, bet they put that one in october? ;-)

October's update being the first 'Car Culture' update of the game makes sense--although I think I just heard Famine screaming in the distance about how pointless quirky car culture things are in video games. :P

It is a step in the right direction though. Having a free roam drift attack is honestly good, especially when it sounds like it will be a permanent(?) feature, and not something were it lasts a month and then you never see it again.

Hopefully, the 7/11 is the same. Now we just need voice chat or something because it would actually make meeting up at 7/11 with other players more lively. Otherwise it is just going to be a 'I saw it once, no reason to go there again except for a photo for the playlist.'

7/11 is evolving world, so it probably won't last more than one series.
 
I know that everyone has different opinions on cars returning from previous Motorsports especially when they are in the car pass. But ones added in the playlist I don't mind at all I'm really hoping that the Evora GT430 gets added with the British update as I've been waiting for that car in horizon for a while also hope they bring back the jaggg project 8 I miss that car.

Just tried this out as I had over 3800 points from my last order.

Unfortunately you can only redeem a total of one 1500-point car voucher per Xbox account. Feeling glum... I'm not lovin' it.

May I have to remind every anonymous reader that the speculation lists that I make are CLEARLY GUESSES, and not 100% confirmed or final in any way. I only make speculation lists for fun. Clearly the Facebook OP copy-pasted my speculation list and treated it like it’s the final deal.

A simple speculation cannot be treated as a genuine drop of information, even if you are gullible enough to follow one of those clickbait YouTubers like M********** or M******* or aspire to be one of them by treating speculations like legit info for clout on a Facebook Group or on Reddit.

If the OP on Facebook who mistreated my speculations as actual information is reading this, have some shame and apologize to the least.

Do you have any ways to further designate a speculation list as well, purely speculation? I’ve also got to remind myself to not combine the news post link with my speculation lists moving forward.

Three changes I would love to see that would be huge QoL improvements for me:

1. Reset or make visible mastery trees of cars in the auction house. I’ve stopped buying cars from the AH because I’m tired of spending 20 million only to find everything useful has been plundered from the mastery tree already.

2. Make wheels in the Upgrade Shop sortable by weight change. I don’t know or care if a wheel is a Sport, Multi Piece, or Specialized rim style. I’d much rather see which wheels lower the car’s weight by 8, 15, 23, or 30 pounds or whatever it is for that specific car.

3. Show the number of garage slots when browsing community garages. I’m tired of downloading (and later deleting) garages that have slots for only two or three cars when I need four.

Being able to ‘favourite’ wheels would be great too, I still get lost looking for the ones I want. Not a bad problem to have though, wheels are the one area of customisation that doesn’t need a heap of attention.

We don't know what cars the next update will have yet. The XJS is just a stock/FE car added in combination with the Drift attack feature.

Though personally I'm more interested in a XJS than yet another Lambo that's just a re-skin. Lamborghini at any time makes only 3 actually different cars, yet somehow we have 24 of them in the game already. :lol:

I personally have no real interest in drift modes either, my issue is with people calling drifting dumb or stupid or totally pointless, when an ability to control a slide and maintain it can in fact make you a faster grip driver, and when practicing drifting makes you better at that I really don't see why grip racers have such a stick up their behind about it.

Again, not about the drift modes, I mean drifting.

Oh and about the McDonalds voucher, it gets worse... Only get one, and I redeemed it and it won't even show up in game. :grumpy:
