Do I need a disk to play multiplayer now?
If you never had a disk, you dont need one. If you installed via disk, then you need it to boot up the game.. Where exactly are you having an issue and why would you assume a disk is needed?

Ok, I got it going on one of my consoles(multiplayer) but the other consoles multiplayer won't boot up. I have family share and was going to use it this weekend with guests. Maybe I just need to reload it or something...unfortunately I can't find my disk.

If it doesn't say to insert the disc then you don't have to, but if it's not booting up than yeah, maybe a fresh install would help.

Well, got back into FM7 after an FH5 rush. Making progress in the Forza Driver's Cup, just finished the Forza GP Championship and my God it was stressful... Really not used to super fast and grippy cars, and Nurburgring in the rain was serious concentration. Hopefully the P1 Championship will be more calm.

I'm currently rushing to finish the FM7 career before GT7 comes out. Now on Supercar Renaissance championship. For more challenge, I'm driving with gated gear stick & clutch on my G29 (but only on cars with fully manual transmisson). I raised the Drivatar difficulty to Unbeatable and the last race on Barcelona circuit was sweaty, but I finished first. The next race is on rainy Hockenheimring. Ooohhh...

I feel like Ford GT (2005) is the fastest car in this class. Because I completed the first four races on this car and the bots ahead of the pack were driving GTs, too, and they were far ahead of the other cars. The homologated Ford GT has more power than most of the opponents and still decent weight. I want to try the Saleen S7, but it feels slightly slower. However, the S7 has wider tires which could be useful on wet surface. Perhaps I'll have to shift with paddles this time...

Not too far behind you. I think there's a Championship between us. I go left to right.

Is that the championship with the F40 Evo and Lotus Elise GT in it ? I chose a different car for each race. The F40 Evo was the first, and it was difficult to win, because somehow against the rest it was slow to accelerate!! :( But I won :) the suprise for me was the Elise, it's fast and really handles. I'm using that on the Nurburgring rivals atm, fast becoming a favourite.

No, you must be talking about the Elite Factory Racers championship with GT cars of the '90s and their homologation road versions (Mercedes CLK-GTR, Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion, Nissan R390 GT1, McLaren F1 GT and others). I guess the Elise GT1 should be one of the fastest because it's closer to a race car than the other homologation specials like CLK-GTR or 911 GT1 Strassen.

Supercar Renaissance is the class of road supercars of the early 2000's such as Enzo Ferrari, Porsche Carrera GT, Saleen S7 and Ford GT '05. I already cleared it, five races on the GT and one (rainy Hockenheim) on the S7. All with gear stick and clutch. Pro difficulty on the first three races and Unbeatable on the others.

The next will be Showroom Rally, because a Forzathon objective tells to win a race on a B class car. There are 3 cars of this division in my garage: Escort RS Cosworth FE, Impreza 22B FE and Delta HF Integrale. I guess I'll try all of them, and maybe even buy some more.

Ah yes your right :)

I recently did the Showroom Rally series also, again I tried a different car each race. The Escort was difficult to win because it is slower than the rest, the Delta HF and Mitsi Evo 6 were my favourites. Both handle really well. But the Escort looks ace with the Michelin pilot livery. Gorgeous. I'm playing on controller on unbeatable and I've doubled the length of the races, makes it feel more like a race, not so urgent or the need to barge your way to the front.

I'm working on the Showroom Rally Championship as well with the Escort FE and some credit and XP boost mods (280% Cr and +3000 XP for no rewind, sim damage and stay on track for 3 races).

I try to go with Highly Skilled, but the first 5 Drivatars pull away after the first lap and can't get enough time on them, so I just gave up and switched to Above Average.

I've found that adjusting the lap length helps with this, it buys more time to settle into a rhythm, improve your times and catch them. For me it feels more enjoyable and more of a race rather than a mad aggressive sprint to get to the front. Of course some tracks are worse than others, like Sebring where the ai is particularly strong.

I always choose "Long" race length, it gives enough distance to catch up with the opponents, and also gives more money. But still doesn't exhaust me too much.

Recently, I finished the Showroom Rally event. Most races on Escort FE, one rainy Maple Valley on Impreza 22B FE (with money bonus for rain), one on Evo IX. I lost one race in Dubai when I tried an Evo VI and came 9th with Unbeatable difficulty, but still won the championship.

Now started the Elite Factory Racers. First race won on Elise GT1, Pro difficulty. I like this car, reminds me of Gran Turismo 2 where I it also was, so I left it in black. I'll try the CLK-GTR and 911 GT1 Strassen because they're also in my garage.

And perhaps I should try another engine on the Elise GT1 - the 6.2L V8. Historically, the race version had a Chevy LT5 from Corvette ZR-1 with twin turbo and displacement increased to 6.0L. In the game, the 6.2L V8 is also a Chevy engine (from SS) and also has a twin turbo conversion available so it shouldn't be too different.

Is it just me or that the way Turn 10 classifies their racing cars bother me a bit.

Here's why:

Early Prototype Racers, to me feels a bit to mismatched, considering that they shoved literal IMSA GTP, Group C and LMP675/LMP900 into one big category. It would be a bit ridiculous to see mid-80s Group C racers compete against late-90s LM machines IMO.

And why would the T10 put the Brawner Hawk Mark II, a USAC car with mid-70s F1 cars?

It's even more complicated than that.

-The Maserati is also a spec car and not the GT4 version (although there isn't too much difference between them).
Same thing goes with the Huracan Super Trofeo.

It's even more complicated than that.

-The Maserati is also a spec car and not the GT4 version (although there isn't too much difference between them).
-The Aston DBR9 is a GT1.
-The Audi TT-RS is an SP3-T thing from VLN, purpose-built for the class.
-The Audi R8 is kinda messed up, using the model from a GTD Audi, from back when GTD wasn't just GT3.
-There is also GT2, which later became GTE/GTLM, and had much tighter technical regs (unless you are BMW anyway).
-In GTE/GTLM we have different versions as well, as the aero rules changed in... 2016 I think? So some are before the major changes.
-The Nissan is supposed to be a GT500 car, but its performance is way off from where it should be, even not homologated.
Prototype Group Racing, GT Racing Reborn and Forza Specials are also a similar case, with
  • Prototype Group Racing consisting of Group 5-Gen 2 and Group 7 (Can-am) being mashed into one division
  • The Porsche 917/30 should have been in Prototype Group Racing or a Can-Am division, and the Porsche 804 should be in Open Wheel Legends
  • GT Racing Reborn is mostly a balanced and fair field, as it's major theme is that of Group 5 cars (IMSA GT, Le Mans and DRM), but why put IMSA GTS and Japanese Super Silhouette in said division?

Either that the divisions lack a certain number of cars, despite the fact that disparity between the other cars may become ridiculous.

Has anybody ever easily beaten the Early Prototype Racers division of the Forza Driver's Cup using the V12 LMR/F333 SP, with drivatars set to "Highly Skilled" and above?

They could make 100 divisions or just keep it this way with some cars better than others.

Also of course Forza GT which has GT3s, GTEs, Lamborghini Trofeo and GT4s. Cayman GT4 racing 911 RSR is just a weird thing to see. Hopefully the classes are going to be better in the new Forza Motorsport.

It's freedom like this, which is why I love the Forza series. But T10 really need to do a better job of selling their game and its features.

I haven't been playing as much since the release of FH5. Prior to that I was still completing the weekly challenges and doing a few League races to keep my Level up. But now it seems the League hoppers are empty nearly all the time. I checked about 6 times in the last few days and nothing but "crickets". The Multiplayer hopper worked and I got in on the GT Racing with the more laps. If anyone knows of a specific "time" that League hoppers are active, please let me know. I'm in the Mountain Time zone in the US. My gamer tag is AlienDeathRay15 on Xbox

Tried to download that game on my PC for a few hours now, but I keep getting the same 0x8007005 error no matter what I do. I tried pretty much every "fix" that I found, but none seems to be working. No issue downloading Forza Apex or Horizon 3.
I absolutely hate Microsoft Store and the Xbox app. So much frustrations. Nothing more annoying to me than softwares that doesn’t want to cooperate.

I figured out what the problem is with the League hoppers. I can't seem to join, EVER. So what has happened, is that it's been a while since I played online. And since I haven't played it drops you down in level over time. So I was at PINNACLE rank which is probably where everyone may still be playing. But I have dropped all 5 levels and dropped in rank to ELITE. So at that rank there is no one playing. So I cannot rejoin League hoppers. What a rip off!! Sure, I can play in Multiplayer hopper. But I can't get the daily bonuses or the Level up bonuses. I should be able to get back in to PINNACLE and rejoin. This is a huge playability issue.

I downloaded FM7 but I couldn't connect to a server. So no Josef Newgarden beating times from me yet. (Or ever, really. I don't stand a chance.) So instead I drove a couple of my favorite Italian coupes.

1968 Lancia Fulvia Coupé Rallye 1.6 HF

1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce

I Miss those cars in Horizon 5.
The Giulietta Sprint Veloce was one of my favourites in DLC cars in this game, same for the 8C 2300 Touring.
