Us Forza veterans have years of muscle memory to overcome :)

Ain't that the truth. Even GT6 is mapped to Forza default for me now and I play FIFA with PES layout, due to 15 years of it before I switched.

As for opponents, I would buy it tomorrow if they provided an update that allowed you to blueprint the cars you race against and load liveries yourself for each car.

I just realised today that I'm mad at Forza for ruining everything else for me :p

I can't bring myself to play any other game (besides maybe American/Euro Truck MP with a friend) since the early access for FM7 came out. Every time I quit, I browse the internet for a few minutes trying to think of what to play, then keep coming back to it.

The ‘08 Viper is still a monster, and now that it doesn’t have to compete with the Alfa 33 or BAC Mono it’s capable of dominating that Multi-Class Hopper. I won almost every race I did in that Hopper last night, the car is that good.
I'm pretty sure the '16 is faster, at least on tight tracks.

There's a rivals event at Lime Rock, the ACR's were nearly indistinguishable, although the 16 was easier I thought, overall.

The NSX only came around a tick slower though.
I would guess an average driver might run as good or better with the NSX and GTR (and 911 turbo) around tight tracks.
The '09 ZR-1 rings in at 649hp and only 26 or 2700lbs, so I have to imagine tracks like road Atlanta and America it might dust the Vipers.

Well, speaking on the '09 ZR1.. wouldn't the C7 Z06 do better? Does it handle more balanced than the ZR1?

I don't know if it's in that class (probably?) or not for sure, I don't have one yet.

It's all about the Homologation.
If the newer C7 Z06 gets more power, less weight, or has more grip on identical tires, it could perform better, and of course, the opposite can happen too.

I honestly think this Homologation is the best thing to happen to a game like Forza or GT, well, ever.

Finally it's not all stupid racing tires! :)

That's true. I honestly forgot about that. I know it's at 650hp/650ft-lb of tourqe. I don't know how they would list their tires, but I know they had more grip than the ZR1's. Can anybody check that for me?

Tire compounds are the same for every car in a class.

Tire size is optional, with a maximum limit.
Between weight and tire size, it's easily possible the ZR1 could have more grip once homologated.

My son is playing batman so I can't check the specs yet, and specs only tell half the story anyhow.

And then....there's user-made homologation, so maybe the ZR1 gets suspension, tire and weight upgrades, and the Z06 can't without exceeding the maximum point rating. (825 I think maybe)

Ah. Okay. I'd love to see how they would pair up. The '08 Viper and '09 ZR1 should pair up in A class. Which means the '16 Viper and the '15 C7 Z06 should pair up in S class, I believe.. I may be mistaken.

I absolutely love the new A class lobby online. I built up my Ford Crown Victoria and tried to get in the back of the back for my first race in order to set a fast time for the next race. Worked well, and I ended up starting and finishing first quite a few times, even setting some #1 times. Obviously with the hopper being so new this was inevitable, and I fully expect my times to be bested rather quickly. Still, it was fun to see. The hopper's fascination with VIR, however, was considerably less fun.

Completely unrelated, but I've noticed that as my tier increased, the common/uncommon cars that I wanted to pick up when I leveled up became sparser and sparser. I appreciate the race cars, but I'd rather have the lower tier cars for free.

No, those classes are pretty much dead. They still exist, for secondary homologation.

I can't recall the name, but categories are for example, "sport touring" "sport GT" "hypercars", etc.
The ACR 08, ACR 16, NSX 17, GTR Black edition 17, 911 turbo 16(?), and ZR1 09 are all in one of those classes. The Z06 C7 probably is in the same class. It's a very excellent and broad class, if I have to guess it's name, "modern supercars".

Edit:
I'll take a picture in a little while

Oh, so no more of the letter rank. I thought it was still that way, because you can see the letter of the rank in the garage. "Modern Supercars" is the class I'd definitely be in most of the time.

You’ll get offered lower Tier cars again once you have all of the higher Tier ones.

As for that Hopper, I’m going to put in a few hours shortly as I haven’t done it yet. Everyone is free to join :gtpflag:

Is it just me, or is multiplayer a completely unstable mess? Game crashes, disconnections, and glitches like mad. :grumpy:

They have a patch coming out fairly soon that enables the 2x VIP like Forza 6 had, so maybe they'll do something about the online gameplay too.

Storm Chaser is bugged for me :indiff:

Yeah, I've heard of people having issues with that one. Hopefully, Turn 10 will have it sorted out by the time they enable the auction house. Right now, it's still impossible for anyone to get all achievements until it opens up.

So, the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is still the formidable beast it was before. I found a tune but I think I can make it go even faster. I’ve just done a race where I was 6 seconds a lap faster than everyone else, and 10 seconds faster than half the lobby.

It doesn’t three-wheel out of corners like @ZDUPH ’s Isetta though, that thing’s like a shopping cart with a jet engine

I’m in this Hopper for another hour (provided the game doesn’t crash again), come join.

One thing I've noticed is that differences between cars feel more noticeable in FM7 overall. I'm impressed how much more grip the Mercedes AMG GT-R have over the regular one. Yes, that's expected but in FH3 you could not notice much.

Same goes for the car garage. Crashes there occasionally too (if you browse long enough I think).
Sometimes it doesn't take much. Yesterday I started the game, went to my garage starting scrolling through the cars > desktop started again went to my garage waited a few seconds for it to load the first car then popped over to the make I wanted and selected the car. Go to freeplay set track decided I want a different car go to change car start to scroll across to the car I want > Desktop.

3rd try, select the car I wanted from my garage, made sure not to go to fast giving it time to load the first car model, then off to race. Ran several races on many different tracks, no issue at all, changed cars a few times along the way.

So I won every race in the seaker championship but didn’t unlock the achievement. I did get the achievement for beating it.

It still shows I didn’t beat it. And it didn’t appear on my Xbox.
