I mostly play multiplayer, so I can't comment too heavily on the AI, but I will say that it's definitely a lot more fun to do Free Play races, especially multi-class events. I had a couple of old IMSA-style presets saved, so after loading them up, and making adjustments to fit some the new cars that were added, I ran a race at Laguna Seca and had an absolute blast. Sure, there were a couple of cars that became impossible to catch up to, but I ended up getting in a 3-way battle for 3rd in GTP that ran for quite some time, and that was oodles of fun, especially when we started getting mixed in with slower traffic.

That being said, my main issue with the AI now is that they're sometimes a little too hesitant to go for passes on other cars, even if the car they're passing is in a slower vehicle. After the first set of pits in the same Laguna race, I ended up catching up to and passing a GTP car that was "stuck" behind an R8 GT3, and had been for several laps. If they can iron that out, and the AI occasionally having a little too much grip on worn tires, then it would be absolutely perfect.

Also, I'm not sure how many people here run the Spec GT2/GT3 races on multiplayer, but the refreshed BoP for GT3 is much better than before. The tire friction changes have made the cars much better to drive, as it effectively gives all of the GT3 cars an extra 15-30mm of tire width. There was an overall loss in acceleration and top speed, but the friction buffs are actually a very noticeable net positive for the class. It's espescially noticeable on the '23 911 GT3 R, as that car was downright terrible to drive beforehand. If you found the Spec GT3 cars awful to drive online before, I highly reccomend giving them a second chance.

Well, there's always a chance of P and/or X being included in Open Tours in future months...

We're still waiting to hear how the return of FOMO cars will occur, but they've hinted/indicated that they will come back somehow. Hopefully that is included whenever we next get a blog post/road map.

Hoping its Auction House. That feature is a pretty big omission from the game that really should be there.
 
Have been busy painting this weekend (IRL painting, not Forza) so have only had the chance to get a few races in since the GT3 hopper came back online, but i've really enjoyed the Mustang, and more importantly, the new grip changes have made the GT3's feel like what I would expect them to be, this cannot be underestimated, has made a huge difference, and hopefully provides a much better contrast to the less grippy GT2's.
 
My game was crashing every time I tried to load the Fujimi 20th event (PC / Steam). NVidia driver 576.40 (released 12.May.2025) fixed the crashes. Just FYI for anyone else who may have had similar issues.

Yesterday I tried to play but I think the servers were offline. I didn't notice anything until lap 2 when I looked up and realized I wasn't getting any points. I did have a crash on Saturday that required going to the task manager to start over. I don't have the game on Steam, mine is through the Xbox app.

Mine would crash within 5 seconds of the loading screen every time. Even the rivals event for Fujimi would crash. So far so good.

I didn't hear anything new but the starting points for some of the BGM have changed. When the songs start at the absolute beginning, I am excited thinking I am about to hear something new but then, it's the same old BGM we've heard since launch.

This song now queues right at the beginning. It used to start on the downbeat of the bass note.

I just noticed, the GT3 Mustang's stock livery has the IMSA logo on the front bumper but it has Good Year branded tires, which is what WEC uses... :odd:

Probably an odd design decision to have some small recognition of partnership whilst displaying a "clean" livery, since the full Champion Spirit livery was done with IMSA number displays, class identification, & Michelin. Similarly, they kept Ford Performance on the hood, but not the doors and Ford only appears on 1 side of the front bumper.

Edit* Interestingly enough to note, if you see the pictures of the car a month before its IMSA announcement & sponsorships, it is closer in line with the game with the lone Ford emblem on the front bumper, in black than white. Still running Michelins, though....

Fujimi Kaido with the roof cam mod is absolute cinema.

I hope they add this camera officially someday.

Roof camera should be a game camera

The roof camera view we can use in the replay mode should be a in game camera angle similar to hood view, I think that adding roof view is a simple addition for the devs to make( i really have no idea how easy or hard it is) but, it would greatly improve the first person experience allowing for...

If you look in the passenger side of the car, you can also see markings from the #65 IMSA GTD Pro entry, including the driver tags for Joey Hand, Dirk Muller and Frederic Vervisch.

My personal assumption is that Turn 10 used reference material from a Promotional/Prototype Mustang, mixed with other aspects from last years LM GT3 and GTD Pro Cars.

Most all of the other AI cars would finish way back and have very slow "fastest" lap times. Now the pack is much closer and if I win the gap is much tighter. But my fastest lap sometimes gets beaten badly even though it's by a car down the grid. I wonder when they set their fastest lap times? It does keep you more focused since they are all closer than before but the end of race results look a little odd.

You should have seen the bashing they must have done to stay ahead.

As for the bots with the clean laps that are still faster than yours? One of them must have driven into the stewards' enclosure before they could mark their laps as dirty. It's the only logical explanation :lol:

The AI has always struggled with Formula '60s! Not unlike most players...


I've only played once since the update but I'm having the opposite experience of everyone else with the AI it seems. I'm not getting spun but am getting bashed and blocked constantly. Plus I've gone from running a class-dependant level 5-8 to barely beating them on level 2, which has me demoralized and frustrated.
 
Doing more events since my last post about it I have had a few more instances of blocking and unnecessary braking in the middle of corners, but mostly I still see improvement, especially how they almost never seem to "give up" and lose multiple seconds as soon as you make a clean pass, they can actually stick to the rear which is very noticeable to me.

I did also notice some change regarding level and performance, definitely on some combos I have to use a lower level than before, but others I can still compete with level 7-8. The other thing that annoys me a bit is a few times when I have run on level 6 or 7 because 8 was too much, they still seem to have level 8 speed/lap time, and I get left behind. I'm not sure if this is more with the AI or just bad car build for the track, will have to test more to make a conclusion about that.

execpt by the Mazda Furai i had no intrested on this the update mostly (even if i am glad that most of community liked) and was wondering what would come next specially when Gt7 added kei truck racing

Bro we just got this update last week lol, let this one cook for a little while. It's already known this update will last 7 weeks and that's all we really know until T10 inevitably drops the next roadmap blog update. That should come anytime between now and then.....hopefully

This update is going to run longer than what we've been accustomed to, so some of us are already prepared for there not to be anything coming next month.

so it seems that T10 will reorganize theyselfes a little bit amid also MS reorganization
i had looked the calendar, it looks that will be after the xbox showcase indeed since 7 mondays from last(/this) monday puts the updates in june 9(/16)

probally they will keep radio silent until showcase since its rumored that next horizon will be announced there then will talk about what is coming next for motorsport

i hope they announce the career mode changes after then and also announce some intresting cars to race with like the Mazda Furai or some fun kei-cars as response to GT7 kei truck, i know everyone is taking about GT3 but i have no interest, in my opinion is a overrated class of cars that is overused even in real life in detriment of touring cars and other types of non-formula car racing

Most times they will say at the end of the blog that next update will come next month and they will mention no track or a track coming. But this time nothing....but they also didn't say nothing isn't coming either. Hopefully they utilize the Xbox showcase to give us an idea if anything will drop in June and beyond.

Highly possible. Also, what if, in the Showcase they announce a PS5 Launch for Forza Motorsport? It will not surprise me, at all. Also, as I comented sometimes here, Monza surely will be the next track, I think we will not have any tracks for Update 21, but in July, Update 22 will be a Italian Themed Update, also, Interlagos by the end of the year is not impossible at all(maybe with PS5 Launch👀). Creative Hub can come and changes for FOMO Content and Career too. Let's wait and see what happens. But, after Fujimi and this amazing update with a cool DLC launched, my expectations really got high. A PS5 Launch will be really cool, more players to play with it and also, means, the game will get more massive updates too!

Probably way too early. Panic Button would presumably be on porting duties again and they've only just finished FH5.
