I did find some enjoyment, that doesn't mean the game is perfect. The core gameplay is solid, most everything else is rubbish - SP career, car models, track models, lighting, menus, music, presentation, no stats, etc etc. If the multiplayer wasn't as good as it was I wouldn't have more than an hour in this game, haven't finished a single career tour and really only used one car in that entire 300 hour time.

Right, because if you play a game a lot means you can't critisize it, makes sense. I hope you guys don't see some of the more passionate fandoms out there, there are people that play a game for thousands of hours and still complain. My criticism is pretty light all things considered

My main disappointment is that it took 6 years, I think all of us here had hope that it would be a major step forward in all areas, at last Turn10 is not shackled by a strict 2 year dev cycle but all that time was simply wasted. Pure mismanagement and bad leadership. And now Turn10 is on the ropes facing cuts and possible closure.

We don't know how much of that time was affected by the pandemic and by contributing to Horizon 5's development.

Neither do we know the extent of the cuts or if they'll lead to the studio's complete closure. But go off.

@SimTourist, you continously have the worst takes of all time and interacts with everything regarding Forza Motorsport/Turn 10 in the same manner the devil reads the bible. It must be rage baiting at this point.

Here's a tip for you, Tourist. If you enjoy hating on the game, the official open Forza forums is perfect. It's a complete dumpster fire over there. Have fun 😁👋

Im not going to be a naysayer but im not getting too excited for double eye emojis either. To me it just shows they are looking at the picture/car in admiration. They did this same thing with a person who posted about the Peugeot 9X8 on the FM forums soon after the game released and here we are nearly two years later with no Peugeot 9X8. Absolutely hope im wrong but not getting excited until things actually drop, they tell us from their own mouths or we get full on leaks.
 
I'm sure that a monthly update with Monza, the 499P, and the 296 GT3 has to be coming this year. They managed to bring the M Hybrid V8 and the M4 GT3 in one update, so surely they can repeat it.

And since we still don't have Monza back, bundling it with the Ferraris would be one banging update. It's the most significant track still missing from FM7, surely we have to get it this year, cause like the hell...
 
I went back and played almost all of the VIP rivals events that they re-released. I can't believe how much faster my lap times are since they released the wheel calibration tool. I didn't think it would make too much of a difference, but I was dead wrong. I used to hate GT3 racing, but now it's one of my favorites. Forza TC is still king with this game though.
 
Apart of the lay-off drama. In Xbox Events BETA on Console, there is a proper menu of Forza Motorsport Update 21, and says the Update started in 16th of June, but, also say, the end of the Update is 27th of July. Maybe the Update 22 is coming through 28th of July? The Update 20 has came in the same way.
 
It's unfortunate for the people being laid off. However the resident game builders will still remain. This can be common when starting a big new project. Turn 10/Microsoft hired a bunch of people to get Forza Motorsport (2023) off the ground. The hires did a lot of the grunt work, now that it's pretty well built, an enormous dev team just isn't needed.
This most likely has no correlation to the future of FM. Once the pyramids are built, you don't need all the same workers to maintain them. I'm sure FM will be just fine. They can now justify using the salaries they're saving on paying to put into acquiring new content in tracks and cars I would hope.
 
I don't know, but I think that these cuts signal that they'll push out whatever fixes they have marked and leftover content throughout this year, and then it's curtains down. Also, no updates for July.

Buy maybe afterwards they can do something like Grid/Grid Legends, as the latter practically recycled the assets of the former.

I don't know if it's me struggling with the V8 Supercars (it's me, I guess) but the AI in that specific tour is kicking me around. I've dropped it down to 5 instead of my usual 7 and they're still killing me, nearly 3 seconds a lap faster around Bathurst. This ain't fun...

I've had to turn AI down to 4. I've now got the novel experience of not winning all my races.

Seems like T10 had already been hit with layoffs of 30+ people. No idea if this is all of it or that there are going to be more layoffs soon.

The rumoured MS wide layoffs are happening from 2/7, to me looks like a contract with KForce was not renewed. What's sad is that these contractors were immediately let go from KForce once they were not contracted to T10, and this looks to have been happening for the last few weeks and months. I just wouldn't speculate too much based on those posts.

What you've posted isn't criticism. What you posted is the equivalent of someone saying, "McDonald's is awful, everything there is rubbish" & everyone finds out you've got a 100+ receipts from there. And when questioned, the only retort is, "Well, I really like their patties".

Anywhere else, your posts would come across as a **** post. It's absolute nonsense. Either you like the game more than you care to admit, or you really like eating rubbish.

So they're bringing back some of the previous tours. But they're spaced out in 30 day increments. When I looked at this before it showed them as completed with the trophies. Exited out then back in and now it looks like they're completely unlocked again.

This should (hopefully) now cure the white cars issue in the one make races and also allow you to rerun the Open Tour events.

It does...kind of. I did a race post update and the AI cars are different colors now but still no liveries on cars...🫤 Will reset again and see what happens.

Even coloured cars would be preferable to zombie ghost town. But I think the liveries load eventually from what I heard on X.

Reset the game and continued with the Ginetta JR one-make race and yeah no liveries popped up. The different color cars will do for now, better than before like you said. Hopefully once I get to the KTM series it will load liveries.
