Welcome back everyone! Hopefully all of you had a nice break and are ready for the next season. There are a few changes from last year but for the most part, will be the same. A few changes in the qualifying that may be an issue down the road, we will see. The information can be found below. For the record, Chris is still active in the club and will participate in races from time to time, schedule permitting.
Rules/Updates
-Each member participating in FPM Season Events will choose a sponsorship and keep the same sponsorship throughout the season. Sponsorship's can be any real world/fictional company. Members are encouraged to represent their chosen sponsor for each race. *Sponsorship's are for entertainment purposes only and will help detail our race pictures and replays.
*Due to possible duplicate sponsorship selection by members, the member who placed higher in last season will have rights to sponsorship. If two new members have selected the same sponsor, the placement on the Circuit Leaderboard's will decide winner.
-Number placards are required
-The race season will start with a chosen ''F'' class car and each week continue through the classes until we reach R1. Due to there being 10 classes, we will have a multi-class race or two to allow for a 11-12 week season. *Multi-Class races/details are to be determined in the coming future
-There will be random selected Stock races. Tuning is authorized where allowed in the stock cars settings.
-Qualifying and Races will utilize the same tracks and cars. Qualifications will take place in the Hot Lap mode. *This may change depending on how well this works, stay tuned.
-For this seasons races and qualifying we will introduce a voting process for which car will be selected for that week. This will work by me posting 3 car choices and the club can vote which one they will want (Please PM me your choice). I will post the 3 car choices after the race each Saturday. Members will have until Monday 10pm eastern to cast their vote. The car that will be used will be posted shortly after votes are counted (Monday). *If no members vote, the club President will select a car at random.
- Qualifying will end Friday @ 10pm est.
-Before the official race, I will set up a 1 lap grid placement lap (LGPL). Your place in the LGPL is based on your qualifying finish. During the lap you are to find your position and finish in this order. This will set up the Official Race starting grid properly.
-As of now I want to keep the same scoring system as the First Season. It seems to work and if we implement Multi-Class Races, some modifications will have to be made to the scoring.
Scoring
Here is the Championship points system. Please read carefully.
The Championship series will be a 12 week series. *Note There will be 2 Multi-Class races. These races will be held after the 4th week race and before the 10th/Last weeks race. I will have more details at a later date.
