Welcome back everyone! Hopefully all of you had a nice break and are ready for the next season. There are a few changes from last year but for the most part, will be the same. A few changes in the qualifying that may be an issue down the road, we will see. The information can be found below. For the record, Chris is still active in the club and will participate in races from time to time, schedule permitting.

    Rules/Updates

-Each member participating in FPM Season Events will choose a sponsorship and keep the same sponsorship throughout the season. Sponsorship's can be any real world/fictional company. Members are encouraged to represent their chosen sponsor for each race. *Sponsorship's are for entertainment purposes only and will help detail our race pictures and replays.

*Due to possible duplicate sponsorship selection by members, the member who placed higher in last season will have rights to sponsorship. If two new members have selected the same sponsor, the placement on the Circuit Leaderboard's will decide winner.

    -Number placards are required

-The race season will start with a chosen ''F'' class car and each week continue through the classes until we reach R1. Due to there being 10 classes, we will have a multi-class race or two to allow for a 11-12 week season. *Multi-Class races/details are to be determined in the coming future

-There will be random selected Stock races. Tuning is authorized where allowed in the stock cars settings.

-Qualifying and Races will utilize the same tracks and cars. Qualifications will take place in the Hot Lap mode. *This may change depending on how well this works, stay tuned.

-For this seasons races and qualifying we will introduce a voting process for which car will be selected for that week. This will work by me posting 3 car choices and the club can vote which one they will want (Please PM me your choice). I will post the 3 car choices after the race each Saturday. Members will have until Monday 10pm eastern to cast their vote. The car that will be used will be posted shortly after votes are counted (Monday). *If no members vote, the club President will select a car at random.

    - Qualifying will end Friday @ 10pm est.

-Before the official race, I will set up a 1 lap grid placement lap (LGPL). Your place in the LGPL is based on your qualifying finish. During the lap you are to find your position and finish in this order. This will set up the Official Race starting grid properly.

-As of now I want to keep the same scoring system as the First Season. It seems to work and if we implement Multi-Class Races, some modifications will have to be made to the scoring.

    Scoring

Here is the Championship points system. Please read carefully.

The Championship series will be a 12 week series. *Note There will be 2 Multi-Class races. These races will be held after the 4th week race and before the 10th/Last weeks race. I will have more details at a later date.

Qualifying points. ***Note*** -5 points if you use the car that is in first place on the leaderboard.

    9. 2
    10. 1

    12. 0

Race Points ***Note*** Your top 8 races will be used for your points. Each race you run after your 8th race barring it wasn't your worst finish on the season will be added to your points BUT your worst finish points will be dropped. This will allow for a better competition and won't automatically mean the driver that races all of the races wins. Any questions please ask.

Fezz ST has a placard that I really like. If we want to go the route of a universal number placard, it gets my vote.

Jimbo, if we get to a class/track combo and I can't better my time but the car used wasn't a leaderboard car, will I still pick up all my points?

This is what worried me, due to many of you having pretty fast times, it is inevitable that this dilemma will happen. So my thoughts to counter this are-

1- I will do my best to research the LB and make my car selections based off of which cars are not used (This one is not perfect but an option)

2- Use an honor system. I know this one is questionable but I trust the members to be honest and see no reason to cheat as there is no ''material'' prize.

3- Save the replay/take a picture of results for proof. This one kinda ties in with #2 but for those close call times, members can request proof.

Just a few ideas as I knew the Hot Lap idea wasn't perfect for reasons such as this one.

You vote via pm which car you would like to race for that week. Jimbo will announce which car received the most votes and that will be the car used for that week's race. You run hotlaps in the car selected on the track for that week's race to determine qualifying position and points. You can see everybody's time on the leaderboards. ;) Datsun 510 ;)

Thanks Wiggs. Since I (and others) wanted to start the season next Saturday, I am a little late on the car selection. Normally I will post the 3 choices on Saturdays after the Club Race. Then members will have until Monday 10pm est to vote. I will then post the winner and the Hot Laps can begin. I updated the OP.

The votes aren't in yet. You have until 10pm Monday night to pm your vote to Jimbo. Either the Datsun, Lexus, or Saab. At that point, Jimbo will announce which car got the most votes...that will be the car we qualify and race in this week...then you can build and tune your car for Suzuka East. Run until you feel like you can't go any faster for qualifying. Your leaderboard ranking for that car/track will determine your qualifying position.

Whoa, nice to see this thing get going!! I'm not sure if I missed something, but I assume the chosen car can be freely maxed out to the top of the class and tuned, right?

And voting is done by PMing Jimbo?

    Nice. :)

Do we choose sponsorship here, or do we send it via PMs to you? I already have my sponsor ready ;)

You can add your sponsor to the FPM spreadsheet (where you added your # etc.

@Forcone, all weekly cars that are chosen will be allowed to be maxed tuned in that class unless otherwise noted in the weekly details (ie there will be some Stock races).

Maybe someone would know. Can I change Poll questions in the same thread? If so, next time I will do a poll in the thread each week. If not, then nevermind.

I think I'll skip till you guys are at B class. Maybe not. Not sure. I don't know. Don't like racing at a slow pace...

    Have fun everyone! :D

I inquired about this very thing with the mods when we first started out and they said that its not possible. Each poll requires a new thread. If you ask me the idea of PMing you is probably better than spamming the section with a new thread on the same topic every week. On the other hand we do kinda run things in this section of the forums.

Come on Carlos....be a good sport. I'll be racing in classes I'm not comfortable in, but I'll do it anyway, even though I'll probably be towards the back of the pack in the R class races. Besides, the only chance I have of beating you will be in the lower class races.

BTW let me take the time to thank everyone in here for the hospitality. This will be my first season with any racing league and I apreciate everyone answering my stupid questions. Dont know the ins and outs just yet but hopefuly Ill be helping someone soon with the stupid questions...

Also it seems that Jack Daniels has sent me a bottle of there top shelf whiskey...So I guees Ill have them as a Sponser.......would that be considered bribery????

No, I just updated it a little bit ago. Good to have you in the club, no worries about questions, it's how you learn and the club members here are quite the gentlemen.

Just beware that you are in a club where now the Club Leader will come in last A LOT:lol: but I have to much fun to get discouraged!

I didn't think about that one (I am still in training:lol:). Perhaps if everyone is cool with it, I will wait until the last minute to cast my vote.
