I'll be playing both. I have no doubt that GT4 will be better overall, but Forza isn't going to be a slouch, either.
 
....I am actually really excited........

I am a diehard GT player....you even mention the name xbox and I cringe...but.......

How many of us are *****in' about when GT4 is showing up?....right now, we have nothing to do...do we?.....

Look at it this way, when we are done playing GT4...if it ever comes out...we can go out and buy the damn xbox and play Forza.........while we wait for GT5

I feel that it is something to look forward to, cause I finished GT3 about a year or two ago...it would have been nice to have had another racing game to play.

A good point. But I have very limited funds, and GT4 is worth my money, in my opinion. 👍
 
We for me, I will be buying an X-Box and getting X-Box live when Forza is released, after I play it ofcourse.

This is exactly why I passed on the Gamecube. No sims, and no exclusive racing games I like. I'm not into Mario anymore.
 
My Xbox HD got fried somehow. So now I just use my brother's. I played the Forza demo, and didn't like it. PGR2 is fine by me. ^_^

Which is good, because I suck at having money.

I'm lucky enough to have both Xbox and PS2 also, and will indeed be getting both games.
Really looking forward to seeing what mico$oft can bring to the table with their sim, played the Forza demo, it was good, but just good.. Im sure the finished game will be pretty hot though! Can't wait for the online play and I believe there is an element of online trading too, that should be fun!
Whats gonna make the big difference for me is the steering wheel, Xbox = Joypad, PS2 = DFP, Hmmmmm.
 
I'm not sure that the online play will sell it for me. I was looking forward to the online play for GT4 but now that is over I really don't care. I just don't feel that any online car game can match up to MCO the greatest game ever!!! :)

From what I heard though - Along these lines anyway, certain areas will have specific cars or parts which you have to trade with other people around the world as they won't have them in their game, and vice versa.. I'm probably completley wrong though! Probably dreamt that.. lol

The developers said in a interview at the beginning of december that they are working on getting a force feedback wheel for Forza.
So it's possible that there will be a FF wheel.

Not completely, you will be able to get every car with any copy of the game, however you'd need multiple profiles to do so. When you start you choose a region USA, Asia or Europe, and basically common Asian cars are less common in say Europe and common USA cars are less common in Europe ect, bt there are some super rare cars that will only be available in certain regions, and to get them with one game would require a profile for each region and for you to play through each region which will be no mean feat and far more time consuming than trading online.
 
But you can still import the other country cars, except the price would be alot more and not that many freedom will be left to do some tuning on these cars.

If I had a xbox I would buy it, after I see the review.
 
Not every car though, the only way to get some is to buy from another profile be it another of your own or someone elses over the interweb.
 
Yep. The developers are developing a system for Live where players can trade, buy or sell cars to another player on Live.
 
Ive played the demo and im natually in exited since there are plenty of online scorboards and im very good at racing games. After playing a game for a while i think it is very realistic. It should be labeled GT4s main competitor but from what ive seen and played its simply not quite as good as GT4. Everything about Gt4 just seems slightly better and more detailed but the one advantage forza has is online support on xbox live
 
I just read the artical and watched the videos of Forza on Gamespot, being a pure GT fan and not a owner of the XBox, I have to say I am quite impress. The final graphics will probably be better then GT4 but the track detail as in surface detail of every little bump is probably still owned by GT4, but I will give Forza some credit and especailly the online section of Forza, it could be serious competition for GT4 almost makes me think they may delay GT4 again just to fit online in for North American release.
 
Belive me ive played the demo. The graphics are no way as good as Gt4s. The cars look bitty in places and the frame rate sucks I think its only 30 - 40. Apart form that its ok but make no mistake GT4s graphics OWNS forzas
 
I think first of it seems deep and realistic but when you get into playing for lap times with the faster cars the suspension feels a little bit off and the driving aids are far too strong.
The AI is just a joke if you go off the track and come back on leaving easily enought room to pass they just dont instead they break form 200kph to 70kph for no reason. Also at the starting line if you are in a slower car than them they wont be afraid the bump they off the track right at the start.

Im just being really pickybut these are things they have to sort out to put it in the same level as GT4
 
you can turn them off yes but then that is just silly as real racing drivers even f1 racers use them. what did you think of the AI suley we can agree on that one

Agreed, I found the suspension pretty good too kev, graphics wasnt to good in the demo, but as I said in an earlier post, I'm sure they will be pretty hot when the games finished.. 👍 for Forza and 👍 for GT4, can't wait to get my grubby little hands on both of 'em!
 
Actually I must say that Forza looks better and better, they really work at the game and when it's released I think that it really will be a goooooood game. I even thinkt hey have released a demo based on (build2) where the weels have a better looking profile but where to get it, I dunno... People here seems to mock forza and I think its not fair to do so. I mean I wish xbox all sucsses with forza cuz it will only benefit us(the players).Still i dont own an xbox but will get one soon but some people think like the old me...An xbox game mus suck hehe. Some people are just acting like fanboys :). First time I saw forza I thought that no way in hell xbox could put forward a game that could come close to GT4 but now I have changed my mind and think that it is kinda more exiting game then GT4....I had to high expectations(sp) when it comes to GT4 and Forza kinda Grew on me as time went on... I really like that everything is in 3d in forza but lets hope that they dont forget about the feeling in the game......(simulation).......hehe.......
 
That game does look pretty good, havn't played the demo yet but looks like MS is running into some problems.

It's a video of a ces presentation and billy boy gates and Conan O'Brian demonstrate how "smooth" forza is.


I think it might have something to do with the delay. Looks like we can't escape MS blue screen of death no matter how hard we try, i didn't know the x-box had one.
