What kind of times were you getting out of your Camaros? I think I did low 1:25's while testing if I remember correctly (I'm not at home at the moment). Haven't got the slightest clue if that would've been competitive. Not by looking at the leaderboards!

I was running high 23's, low 24's consistently.

No pictures of me getting lapped by EVERYONE, LOL!

I seriously need to practice, with this new wheel and the actual clutch pedal now, so much to learn.

I hope to log my progress as I race each week to hopefully start to get some podiums. Or better yet, we need some other rookie club members who are not that great like me to start showing up so I can feel like I have some sort of chance, you fellas don't mess around.

:lol: I thought about putting one as you were getting lapped but I didn't have the heart to do it to ya.

I figured there wouldn't be quite as many people running at that time. next week will be an early start time. I'm thinking 12 noon est or maybe slightly earlier.

Dang, I just realized I'm working next saturday, once again. 2pm est is always best for me since it's 9pm here, no matter work or not! But it's really good to give everyone a chance to race! Hate those damn time zones...! :banghead:

Forcone: I give up. No way am I catching you at autocross. I think I'd need a wheel to make up any time.

I haven't even tried it without a wheel, must be a nightmare! I just removed the deadzones from the wheel and it became even better in autocross, such accuracy! :)

I thought I'd aim for the top of the leaderboard but that seems impossible. That testingsquire-guy is supersuperfast!

man your on the top of like all the leaderboards it seems haha. I get close to some but i think the only one ive beat you in was drifting on the very last rivals drift.

OH! The dreadful R3 drifting in Spain thing! Man I hate that one! :D I'd have to do some research on what car to use... Tried it with my E39 M5 and failed miserably. And slower cars need slicks to reach R3 = No Way. I'll have to do something about that one tonight.. :)

And "top of like all leaderboards" is a bit of exaggeration, eh? :D I try my best! There are some extremely fast times posted on those boards. I haven't really tried anything else than autoX and drifting so far... :guilty:

true.. let me rephrase that then haha. Your on top of all the boards i seem to go to. My skyline drifts really well in r3. All i did was make 2nd and 3rd gear really long and it will drift for ages. I had to push my self so hard on the spain track. I tried to start my drifts as early as i can and half the time 1 or two of my back wheels are off the track haha

I bet with a wheel its even better! I'm using a pad, so I kinda got used to it. Good news is my wheels coming this week, I'll finally get to try Forza with a wheel!
 
Good news Crispy! I will be looking to see a difference in your performance in the coming races. Maybe worse ay first while you get used to it then significantly faster in the end.

Your already pretty fast with a controller. You should win allot with a wheel.

And crispy, your gonna love the game 10 times more with a wheel! I haven't really played driving games with a pad since FM1 so I can't really say much about driving with one, but I have a lot of experience with a G25 and now this Fanatec wheel. It is such a joy. :)

i know! i saw it! ive been trying to get it with this new isf i built and i almost got it so many times.. its just a bit to wild though. I ended up switching back to my GTR and man you made me flip on the last turn.. i was getting to sideways haha. Ill upload the clip later.
 
Thanks buggs1a and Marmite...I had some very close races with Marmite today! We'll have to do it again tomorrow. It would be better if more club members could join in though.

We were pretty close through the S class race too...I think you were in a BMW M5 and I was in an Italia. A couple of B class races when I was in the RSX were close too.

Sorry guys, i didnt mean to ignore your invite. I was just so stuck on Rivals mode. I got beat by 3 points and now i cant beat my rival :( haha

No problem. I'm hardly ever available for the Saturday races, so I usually join private races when a club member sends an invite. I know how addictive Rivals can be. :)
 
Had some good racing last night in B-class servers. Need to make some more cars though, I always seem to get stuck driving the same one to be competitive. Stock power S2000 with slicks, aero and other handling mods has been my go-to. I have an Elise that would do good but I assume people will get pissy if I bring that out. I got kicked from a room for trying to use my AMC Javelin at Tsukuba...

Also, people are awful drivers. Half the field take the first two turns as a demolition derby, always. I've been lucky to be able to completely avoid getting tangled up in any of that.

At first I was so excited about the online-gaming aspect as I hadn't had gold since FM2, but then I remembered why online gaming sucks with random people: too many of them are idiots. Well actually it takes just one or two to ruin it for everybody else...I'm so glad we have rivals!

The only online gaming I'll do is with you guys! No random a**holes ramming everyone at every given opportunity... :guilty:

It would be such fun playing online if people could behave themselves...

Nobody starts off being good. I was pretty terrible not so long ago myself, and I'm still adjusting to using a wheel with Forza, but I'm getting better. Phil's usually faster than me...the combination of me having some good tuning setups and him making some mistakes were probably why we were pretty close yesterday through most of the races. I have a lot of room for improvement, but I'm getting better.
 
Does anybody in the club have the bmw GTR? I have been hoping I would win it in that rival event but it looks like I won't. And I want to drive it so bad.
 
I think a lot of club members have moved on to other games. :( I never see more than 4 or 5 club members playing this game at any give time, when I'm playing.
