Depending on who stays around yeah. As long as there is at least 4 people in the room it will keep going until late.

If I'm not back from driving at quarter to, anyone can dive in my lounge to host.

Update to pace car lap:

Each race will begin with a (Single file rolling start; full race pace out of last corner).

You were the only driver to cause more than one crash, and will be removed if improvement is not seen.
 
👍 Testing was good, got some experiance with the whole rolling start thing...
untill it got out of hand Lol, but good to see certain people having fun x) 👍

I hope I didnt tip anyone off to much. :nervous:
 
Testing was good, the single file rolling start out of the last turn worked very nice. We'll get the tracks sorted soon.

Did i do the pace lap ok behind the saftey car on laguna seca? when i seen it pull in i just went full pace on the straight guessing thats right anyway :) these cars are so grippy you can keep pushing them but push to much and they will understeer or oversteer :sly:

I can't guarantee I will be at every race, but I should be able to make most of them.
 
What determines when a safety car is deployed ? Is there someone watching the race that says to the safety car when to deploy or something ?
 
Yeah, I missed the earlier session with the PACE CAR, so not sure how it will go. I know its single file behind the PACE CAR but how will we know the order of grid? Someone keepin track of that? And also what TyrrellRacing said as well. ??

When we did a test run with the pace car tonight everybody on the grid would wait till the saftey car gets in front then its 2 wide for a warm up lap kinda... then when the saftey car pulls in you just go full pace on the straight before the line
 
Yes Jack you did fine. New safety car rules have been updated. Finer details will be given specific to each track.

The order to start behind the pace car is where you start on the grid, just remember who is driving the car in front, stick to his tail round the last few turns and you will have no issues!

Safety car will be called by either me, or a few other specific drivers with mics (if a race marshall wants to volunteer they are welcome). Decisions will be made based on what the caller saw of the crash, and/or the arrows on the full map. If the grid is split across a quarter of the track within three corners, we'll know something's up.

There will be a set callsign for a confirmed safety car, something like "safety car deploy", and all cars continue to race until (track specific, likely until start line or in sight of SC), where overtaking is dissallowed and all cars drop their speed gradually. Any notableabuse of the safety lap will result in a penalty post-race.

A quick sorry to John, who managed to get caught up in many accidents in the chilled races after the main session. It won't happen in the points races.

Additional caution to xBLITZzZ:
As this is your first race series, it is vital you take time to learn racing etiquete, such as breaking under slipstream, allowing room for other drivers not only for where they are, but where they may go. Making clean and fair passes (Noted you on Monza diving into the side of other cars). With a series revolving around such close racing we cannot allow you to continue at your current racing level.

There can only be one person to call the safety car.
I'm not racing in a series where 2 or 3 people, can, if they have an off in to gravel or get turned round can just bring out the safety car if they want because their race is ruined.
That's hardly a fair and level playing field.

I remember that. Couldn't of happened to a nicer BTCC driver!
I'm sure no one will try and use it to their advantage (I hope not) but I think it needed to be said and it will be interesting to see if it works round somewhere like
le mans. If indeed we race round there.
Ironically it was my fault for the crash at the 1st chicane last night. Wasn't expecting the chicane to be there. Got me layouts all muddled up!

I had Stella for company so was pretty unaware of what was going on anyways.:dunce:
 
See deploying the SC is a real mix. But say if someone takes out another driver and there wasn't any risks of others being involved then would there be a need of a SC? But then penalties can be given to drivers who take out people. I don't want to see a SC all the time only when it's really needed.

Also what about the longer races. If someone is lapped and SC gets called out you should stay behind the car in front yeah? Whether it's a lapped or leading.

I thought I got one Caution?
Anyhow am I not able to take part in the Series? Or do I need to show improvement? Because racing on my own isnt going to help. :nervous:
 
It's an extended explanation of why you are cautioned. If you do not improve your racing technique you will not be on the grid for race #1.
