Who be the dude? Old GT6 buddy? :p

Dude!!! You finally joining the dark side?

Looks like no love for Fanatec from Sony. I'm not selling the CSW v2 and all it's ancillary devices. 2017 the year of the PC! (I think that's actually the Chinese New Year too.)

At best I'm in by February, worst maybe June. We'll see.

Good Times on the horizon for sure.

Also, I'm still slow. :)

You held back that long seeing if Sony would care? :D

I'm patient and was trying to avoid the PC wars. Consoles used to be easy, but now are more PC like today and may become more like buying a Compact or Dell from well over 20 years ago. If you bought a compact or dell or whatever they had custom mostly non upgradable mobo's. I learned my lesson on a Compact hand me down comp. I was able to up the CPU, funky in a bigger hard drive and add some ram, but the sound card and modem were an issue. I did manage a sound blaster, but had to use an external 56k modem. LOL

All I'm saying is consoles now have the same chip architecture as pc's today. Apart from one or two (GT Sport) titles the future is a gaming PC.

Cheers all, see you on track as soon as I can.

How'd it go last night? Decent crowd?

Largest I saw was 18, had that for at least a couple races. Saw a few more incidents than usual but still had some good racing. The combo was really fun.

It went to 24 after you left even. Car felt really good, big improvement since the last time I drove it a couple of months ago.

I feel like driving the Moby Dick this Friday. But where? Anywhere but old Monza, that track bores me to death.

That car bores me to death, but I'll race it.

Actually, to be more accurate, that car understeers me to death.

I agree with this, but that's kinda why I wanted to spend some more time with it. Hoping a bit of tuning can make it more enjoyable.

I will gladly accept any tunes that may be passed out. I'm sure it's much better after a bit of tinkering, the stock setup is just dreadful though. "Ok car, in 100 meters we're going to turn right. Ok, turn right! I said turn ri.......hey, what are you doing? Please freaking turn!! Ok, nevermind......I guess we're going straight instead."

Sounds like Jeremy Clarksons description of American cars.

Actually, yeah, the Moby Dick drives a lot like how I picture a late 60's muscle car would drive. Goes like stink but comprehensively rubbish at braking or turning.

Fixed to what I should have written

#truth :O

Just did a few laps at various tracks in the Moby Dick. Man screw that car!

I read that the GT40 and the 908LH are similar. We're going to run them at Brands Hatch. I'll update the OP soon.

But did you tune it? :p

OP updated

Remember, a few of us will not be there until after our race is finished over at RaceDepartment. Server will still be up and running on time, there will just be no one there to kick any knuckleheads.

Ha! Glad I'm not the only one who hates it.

Make up your mind dammit!!!:irked:

That will be awesome, dude! Can't wait to race with you again.

I wonder, could this signal a Gran Tour-exit of the Tunas? Tunexit? PDexit... Sonexit... Consolexit? Something like that ???

Thank you. I've been having trouble describing the Moby Dick. What you wrote is perfect.

Believe it or not, I was fiddling with the setup a few weeks back and I actually got the car to behave. Well, it listened to me a heck of a lot better than the default setup. Of course, like I've done a thousand times...I exited the track without saving my setup changes. I have done that so many times. The same with replays. :banghead: Hmmm...I'm off to the official forums for a suggestion.

If you haven't loaded the car up since then, you can recover the the setup by loading the car and track combo again going to the generic setups folder and load the "last" setup. It's a copy of the last setup created for that car after AC closed.

I have done that and it has saved me many times. Seems to work fairly well, too!

Someone wrote the same thing on the Official Forums. I never knew about that. It's very good to know. I'm sure Kunos won't put that feature in, but I bet x4fab will when he has time to put it in Content Manager. He already gave us another option to save replays if we leave a practice session and forgot to save...and he's enabled automatic saving of replays, if you enable it.

Now he's working on implementing the Championships into Content Manager. That will be nice. If they remain only in the Kunos launcher I'll probably never use it. Out of sight, out of mind.

Server is up and running. I'll be there after the RD race.

I suck at this track with both of these cars  This will be interesting
