Rangey might need a boost in the latter season as it will be no-where near at Spa or Ascari. Especially Spa, it was 3 seconds a lap slower there. But for Brands Indy, GP and Both Silverstones it is fine. Or maybe I've just forgotten how to drive at Spa (the track in my ToCA career that I have led the most laps at during a race but not won at) ;)

Intestingly both of my Monza wins were where the only lap I led was the last

With DK out of Silverstone, that already means 5 Q spots open.

The Range needs to lose some weight! The problem is you just cant flow it as easy as others and as soon as you are out of the flow thats it

47.4!? This game is weird.

Not really... I've got a full straight tow from Scania in a very straight line fast Megane (actually finished only a tenth behind him)

But as for the car both me and Snow made the right choice as this car is also very strong in the wet (at least until ~30-40% water on surface) as the rear gets loose just enough to actually help with the turn-in...

R1: Me (L25, 47.431)
R2: Me (L3, 48.111)

R3: GKM (L13, 47.666)

Finally got to open my R3 replay...

With FL counted in, I'm actually in front of Scania by 1 point...

EDIT: Sorry for double post...

Let's go through last night:

Race 1: A bit dull, but very clean. Fantastic battle with @Yeratel84 in the closing laps. Happy with 4th.

Race 2: Everything kicked off. Every single car looked horrible after that race, I think the wet was making close racing a little bit harder than usual. Despite getting pelted off several times, it was quite enjoyable.

Race 3: WTCC style red flag/farcical start! The racing looked great up front, but I was stuck near the back. @Yeratel84 the incident I think you were referring to last night I am very sorry for. I got rear-ended quite heavily and was a passenger, if anything I softened your blow. 10th is dreadful, but Brands is my bogey track.

If anyone wants to go through any moves which they thought were unacceptable, please do PM me. I am very willing to sort any issues out :)

Hyundai doesn't have much torque compared to the other cars so it actually loses time on the corner exits from what I've seen. The car was pretty bad at some tracks like Spa and Nurb/D and it's pretty good at Silverstone. It is it's first season.

Very happy with last night's racing, obviously. I had tweaked my transmission-settings earlier in the day to get better starts, and although that didn't work exactly as planned, I managed to find an overall gearing that was just about perfect for the Brands' Indy circuit. In retrospect, it was good that I played around with it, because Joe was definitely on the same level with the Ford. Pole lap was a 47.662, which was a fraction slower than Joe's lap from free practice.

I managed to get away cleanly in race 1 and benefitted from everyone else having a fight behind me. When the effects of the rain really set in, I fortunately had enough of a lead to coast the last 5 laps, because the way I was driving the car just didn't work with more water on the track.

Made a couple of adjustments in my driving for race 2 and that worked really well. Gradually worked my way up the order until I was hunting down Yeratel in the last couple of laps. He ran wide in turn 1 on the penultimate lap and we braked side-by-side into Druids, but without complete overlap I had to take the wide line and wasn't able to get past.

Race 3 developed nicely for me. Never lost patience, especially in the tight first couple of laps, and just took advantage of some people's mistakes to overtake as the race unfolded. Managed to overtake Scania for the lead about 2/3 of the way in, and held on to the top spot.

The Civic is a great car, but sadly, BH Indy is probably its best track. Next week, Silverstone International with its long straights is more of a power track, so there ought to be some other cars that will shine, like Peugeot and Renault. Will be tough as Silverstone is also not one of my better tracks.

Stewarding + Couple rule clarifications to come little later, waiting on a couple PMs.

Thank god I don't have to qualify, just about in there, since the Group C event went badly(game crash) I wish I didn't leave early. Already 45 Points back and the preview was tipping me lol

I am irritatingly consistent :grumpy: , Silverstone International is good for Ford but I cannot drive for 🤬 around there.

Silverstone International is also good for this car, I remember a test race where I dropped to the back twice and managed to get to 4th somehow.

ABP
Nissan :sly:.
Maybe I will get qualified next week.
Brands Hatch was confusing for me and Silverstone has some nice straights. 👍
But wet tracks scare my Nissan. :scared:

Nice to see you trying again, was so close in Q! Good to see people aren't losing heart. With DK being away there are 5 Q spots.

Thanks, the Nissan was somewhat to heavy for Indy, so there is hope for less corner-y tracks. 💡
The engineers also told me that my only goal is to beat a Hyundai once. :mischievous:

You beat @adam46 (sorry mate :p)

There's 10 points between me and 13th, I hope I have enough of a cushion when I return! :nervous:

I might enter a part time position in this series if that's ok with you all?

What cars in the series have the fewest number of drivers to them? I'll probably go with that one just to lessen any hassle, since I know there's a limit of 4 or 5 of the same car...

BMW and Nissan have one each, and there is also space in the Renault. The BMW is a horrible car in the wet, if it's dry its flying (it got fastest lap in race 3, the only dry race), but it is horrible in the rain and will try to spin at every opportunity. The nissan on the other hand is more forgiving, but still has decent pace. And the Renault is fast, appears responsive and has a lot better handling than the other two in the wet.

My car felt the same, just understeer and not loose at all, surprising the car felt awful at the end of Race 1, it understeered so bad for the last 3 laps, I lost like 3 seconds to cars ahead and I was only losing 0.2 to Snow each lap and even matching him sometimes.
